History: The First Kazekage of Sunagakure, Kenshin Uzumaki, was always known to be an extremely paranoid individual, one that performed regular sweeps of Sunagakure with his implanted Byakugan. Mizuki Ohta, the Second Kazekage, was also someone who preferred to know where her enemies were at all times. Both of the Kazekaze’s were quite skilled with the use of Sensory techniques, and both understood how key stealth could be in winning a fight… and as such, both detested the idea of allowing unknowns and enemies within their walls. The two personally helped train specific teams of Sensory shinobi to monitor everyone and everything happening within Sunagakure, and made certain that these teams were able to get in contact with any Sunagakure Shinobi at a moment's notice.

What it does: The Sunagakure Sensory and Communications Unit is a specially trained force of Shinobi of Sunagakure, and their jobs, day in and day out, are to accurately track everyone and everything within the walls of Sunagakure at all times. This sensory detection extends up to 500m both above and below the ground, and is accurate enough that the members of the corps are able to tell whether or not the person they are tracking is a shinobi or citizen of the village. They are able to detect everyone, even those with their chakra suppressed, however it should be noted that Sensory techniques with a power of 150 or higher are able to avoid this detection. To put it simply, if you are even 1 inch within Sunagakure's walls you are being actively tracked at all times unless you are using a powerful Chakra Suppression technique

Furthermore, these shinobi are able to telepathically communicate with any Sunagakure Shinobi at all times, and are even capable of temporarily ‘linking’ the thoughts of two or more Sunagakure Shinobi (however they are unable to link more than 4 people at a time).

It should be noted that 'within the walls of Sunagakure' means, quite literally, the moment you pass the outermost point of Suna's walls. This includes entering the walls with an Earth Release technique, climbing the walls and trying to go over them, etc. The moment you pass the outermost point, you are being tracked.
