History: Sunagakure was always known for its amazing natural defenses, but as shown by The Ragdoll when he initially assaulted the village… they were not unbeatable by any means. After he took the village Kenshin was forced to repair the walls that he had damaged so badly, and in the process he decided to improve them quite a bit.
Appearance: The entirety of Sunagakure is surrounded by extremely thick and dense sandstone cliffs, at least 100m tall and equally as thick. There exists one single entrypoint.

The Entrypoint (The Cleft):

What it does: The walls and streets of Sunagakure are so deeply infused with the toxic chakra of The First Kazekage that they have taken to rejecting regular chakra, preventing anyone from using Surface Walking or other such techniques to scale them. It also prevents the use of Wood and Earth Release techniques within the village itself or on its walls, however, it should be noted that The Training Grounds and The Bloodworks are not subject to this effect (so visitors and guests can still practice and use those types of techniques within those areas)

Shinobi of Sunagakure, due to living within the village, are used to this and have been taught how to properly perform these techniques even with the unnatural infusion
