Niko was not sure what his teacher meant by mouthing his fellow ninja. Niko was sure that he was being as polite as he normally was. Though I guess his last words could be misinterpreted. Seeing Daiko finish speaking and make micro-movements Niko would make contact with his teacher as soon as possible. Though this contact would be made tentatively Niko was not practiced in messing with powers beyond his own understanding. After he made contact he would watch as Koutaku would probably do the same and after being teleported he would watch his sensei walk over to a bench and speak to the duo. Nico had expected this though and would not take any offense instead he would speak.
"This should be simple I already have a plan in regards to this mission through in the name of inclusiveness ill let Koutaku finish." Niko would then run through the signs for the earth wall at his max speed and summon an earth wall directly to the left of the tree uprooting it and making the tree tilt 50-degrees. This would allow for the tree to be completely removed with a cutting motion. After seeing that the jutsu had the intended effect he would then lower the wall leaving the tree tilted sideways along with the concrete. While he could cut open the tree right then and there he decided that he would leave the rest of the process to Koutaku saying.
"Now let's see how you finish this off. This could be interesting." After talking Niko would move to the bench where his sensei was sitting and would stand to the right of the bench watching for movements from his fellow ninja.

Nodding slightly in response to Daiko’s apologies on behalf of his pupil, Koutaku decided to trust the man. In part because he appreciated the sincerity and additionally out of pure convenience--figuring he couldn’t be too terrible if Niko trusted him and was still around. That said Koutaku approached and then took Daiko’s hand finding that in the next instant that they were rapidly moved from one locale to another.
He shook his head, slightly disoriented by the process, but he recovered swiftly and then took in their new environment in a single sweep of his eyes. Locating the tree, Koutaku glanced to Daiko--then Niko and then spoke up even as the puppeteer used an earth technique to partially uproot the tree.
“Do either of you have any wire?”
That said, Koutaku extracted a single explosive tag and four shuriken, and three kunai from his pouch before approaching the tree. Moving with practiced motions he hopped up to a branch and then promptly stabbed the shuriken into various points around the trunk. Following this he pushed off the tree and landed aground once more. While he awaited a response, Koutaku placed each of his kunai at specific locations before driving them into the ground all the way up to the ring at their ends.
When he was done he turned to the two and raised an eyebrow questioningly.
“Well?”

Daiko slouched back in his chair and shrugged. He didn't actually have any wire... Or many other ninja tools for that matter. To be completely honest, he always just handled things by using jutsu to solve the problem. He didn't want to bring up the fact that he could probably just make the tree sink into the ground with little to no effort, though he might've if it came to that. Either way, he looked at the two to see what they were doing. Niko had used some sort of jutsu to make the tree turn on its side, and that was pretty cool. It was neat to see him use some jutsu for more purposes than just what they were on the surface. It seemed like Taku had some other things planned, and they ran up and down the tree doing various things. It was pretty cool. Stretching out, Daiko continues to watch their efforts, hoping that they wrap up somewhat soon. He didn't have all the time in the world to be able to teleport them where they needed to go and was about to run out of energy to do so for the time being. Laying back in his chair, he sighs. Perhaps they would figure it out sooner than later.
Daiko had a handful of ideas about how he would handle it. He could make a special iron maiden to suck the tree into the ground, or even do something as simple as making a hole of mud in the ground that would have the same effect. The issue right now was that he didn't want to accidentally catch someone in the range of the jutsu, or end up cracking up the ground and causing damage. There was a lot to consider, especially given the details of the mission. It would be obvious that whoever had assigned this mission wouldn't want a bunch of damage to the property. That had the issue with the fact that the tree was like this. Stretching his arms out, Daiko slouches in the chair and closes his eyes slightly. He is still watching what's going on. Daiko wonders for a moment if Niko has any wire or anything to that degree.
Thinking about the options that they have, Daiko is coming up somewhat short. He wondered if Niko had any puppets that he could use that were strong enough to uproot the tree or some kind of special jutsu. Daiko knows that he'd taught him a handful of parlor tricks, but those were more for escaping or doing things of that nature than they were actually for combat. And at this moment... It was like they were combating a tree. Either way, Daiko would see how this played out. "Hey, you guys. Make sure you hurry this up, alright? I don't have all day. I'm supposed to be meeting up with someone later." Daiko nodded his head, though he didn't put off the vibe that he was impatient. He wasn't, he just wanted to make sure he could make good on his word to be able to transport the two around the village.

Niko looked towards the other genin of the mist. He needed wire? Maybe it was to channel some kind of technique. Niko had no wire on him though it was definitely something he could grab some from the store that would take some time. While he could do it Niko was sure the mission center would not appreciate him and Koutaku leaving the tree laid out in the street because of a lack of materials. Failing a d-rank mission would be humiliating so Niko decided he would just cut the tree down he needed to test out his latest creation anyways. So going through the handseals for the summoning technique Niko would summon what was one of his biggest mistakes as well as his best creation. Watching as through the smoke a crawling figure sat limp he would then attach his invisible chakra strings to the puppet and would say to Koutaku.
"While I may not have any wire I should be able to finish the tree from here. If that's okay with you that is." Niko honestly just wanted to get these missions over this day had turned out way longer than he had expected and he did not want the mission clerks to send out more people. He also had a vacation planned later in the week to go to a bathhouse but that was beside the point. If Niko was given the affirmative he would use the puppet's speed mechanism boosting its speed to 140 speeds that Niko had only seen once before. Then the puppet would dash the 2 meters from the bench where Niko was standing to the tree line its meter long sharp nails along the base of the trunk and launch them at 99 speed with 99 power piercing through the tree and cutting it. Once he had done so he would begin to speak again.
"Now that it is removed the village can handle it from here. Let's get moving to the next mission area." He would then mumble "way more trouble than its worth."

Frowning as neither shinobi had any wire on them, Koutaku mumbled something to himself and then sighed, retrieving his tools just as Niko offered to finish the job. Once he’d hopped off the tree, he nodded his assent and steered clear, giving the other genin space to work. Watching closely, he took several mental notes of the puppeteer’s revealed creation--as well as the displayed mechanisms--before the job was done. Ignoring Daiko’s comment, Koutaku smiled at Niko and spoke up in reply, “Agreed, the last one is a tad of construction work, should be even easier than this.” What he didn’t say is that he’d likely be useful for that.
Walking over to Daiko, he held out a hand to the seated shinobi, ready for the man to transport them to their final destination. Meanwhile, Koutaku made a note that he needed to pick up a few things after this...and that he’d be training very hard in the hours and days that followed. He would endeavor never to be useless again and he meant to make good on that promise to himself, no matter how difficult it might turn out to be.

Daiko cracked his neck, sitting in the seat and watching the two shinobi go to work. He was still sitting on the bench relaxing and noticed Niko doing the summoning technique. Nice. From there, a puppet was summoned to him, and the thing was kind of creepy. Daiko was so used to Saya's fun-loving puppets that he hadn't even realized that someone was capable of making a puppet that was actually scary. It was pretty cool, objectively. For whatever reason, Daiko had an internal urge to fight this puppet. For whatever reason though, he figured that if they were to go head to head, one of them would be left with broken puppets and shattered pride. But it was no matter. Daiko stretched out, yawning when he stood up. The two of them then approached him, to be transported to their next place. Fair enough. Daiko had actually done something similar to this long ago, so he was familiar with the kind of job. This time, he would grab both of their hands and then transport them only around 10 meters away from the location. It wasn't too far of a walk for them had they decided to do that, but hey. If you can teleport, why would you not?
Daiko considered for a second whether or not it would be 100% wise to trust him all the time... But who was he to guess? Maybe if Niko doesn't train as hard as this Taku fellow, he could toss him in the storm wall or something. The moment after he thought about this, his mind flashed back to the spiked gauntlets that the Mizukage had flashed at him the last time he had an asinine idea. Shaking his head, he decides it's better not to think about things like that. Daiko blinks a couple of times, pointing at the job in front of them. It seemed simple enough, it was just carrying random beams and other things like that in order for the construction crew to get their job done faster. It seemed like it would be better to actually have trained professionals do this type of work. It makes sense that they would need a couple more bodies, as in the early stages of this construction it seemed to be just menial labor. They were probably saving the professionals for when it was actually required of them. Who was Daiko to judge?
The task was pretty simple. There was a pile of around 15 steel beams that needed to be taken from point a to point b. There was also a mixed variety of other random tasks that needed to be completed, and it seemed that the 3 shinobi were able to designate the tasks among themselves, so long as they all got done in a somewhat timely fashion. Daiko decided that he would do the job of helping to carry the beams. He wanted to get out of here sooner than later. They were about 40 kg each, and as such, Daiko decided to lift two of them up with his mighty 5 strength, and begin carrying them to their destination over his shoulder. This didn't take too long, and before they knew it they were just about finished. Daiko would leave, going back to whatever den he came from, leaving with these parting words. "Alright. I'll catch you guys later. Yo Taku. Let me know if you're trying to get in on one of Niko and I's training sessions. Aight peace." Daiko would then walk off with ryo in pocket.

Re: Work...and play?

Nodding his thanks to Daiko once they’d arrived, the genin glanced over the construction site, sizing it up, before he cracked his knuckles and got to work. After talking to several workers he began helping to transport various tools up and down the latticework the workers were using to do the construction. This saved them a sizable amount of time in terms of transporting things as well as giving him something he could actually do. Moving on from that he transported some wood, then held boards in position while the professionals hammered or drilled them into place.
Purely out of curiosity, Koutaku asked if he could try the hammering or the drilling and the workers seemed glad to allow him to do so. At least on the less difficult parts of the job, after all, they’d get blamed for any mistakes in the structure’s construction. So it was that Koutaku infused the hammer--and the drill when he got it--with Chakra Infusion and got to work, smoothly nailing and driving holes into boards and other such things. He also drove in some screws with other functions of the drill and as he worked he felt concepts being internalized. Perhaps one day he might use similar principles in his techniques...one day soon.
As he finished his own tasks he glanced between the others, and then gave Daiko a bow as the shinobi took his leave. “I’ll keep that in mind,” he said, calling after his peer, before sizing Niko up for a moment. After an instant’s consideration, he held his hand out, shook Niko’s--if the genin let him--and then turned to depart.
Over his shoulder, a wry smile in his tone, Koutaku said the following.
“Perhaps in a day or two you and I can duke it out, yeah? Get some training in. Might be...productive.”
With a wave he added, “Until then,” and then completed a single handseal. So it was that, in a blur of movement, he vanished without any further words.
