The Council's Time (Village Subjugation)

Has power ever driven someone to a moment where they Said , fuck your opinion? Stein had that moment. This Stupid Council wanted his head? Very well he hoped that they could take it, Otherwise they would wind up just like the members of his past. Gone and Forgotten.

Stein stood at the gates of the village of Hoshigakure, In all his Ragdoll form. The Stitched skin under the cloths which also showed the evidence of being pieced together like him. He would call out the Council and anyone loyal to it, if the Leader was to scared to move against them, than he would do it himself. Even if it meant burning the village to the ground as he did it.

Stein stood at the ready with his back towards the land of Stars. His Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan shone towards the village, watching for the movements of anyone or anything approaching as a threat. At which time he would treat the threat as such. Standing by his side was his Daughter Kana.

She was capable enough to help him, However Kobiyashi, His Son had other plans. He would help the weaker ones who would not be allowed to take part in such carnage to leave.

The world-class criminal and his daughter stood 50 meters away from the gates, their cold gazes locked at the village ahead of them. The girl was direct to the father’s right and one meter away. Their intentions remained unclear to many as the rumors had traveled through many mouths. Stein threatened to kill the council that acted as advisors to the Kage, helped rule this land, and kept Akihana’s legacy alive. Stein was at the head of an invisible army to oppress the city. Stein aimed to die as he had lived, with a kunai in his hand and defiance upon his lips.   

Stein, Stein, Stein. One thing was sure. Those who had the title of S rank missing Ninja did not fall there. They are evil men, driven by greed, soured by malice, despising the gods, and caring only for themselves. Broken men are more deserving of our pity, though they may be just as dangerous.  Fueled by how easily they thought this was going to go.

“The soul of this sinner shall refill Eternal Engine of Yummei tonight!" Seto Yomiyama's voice pierced the cold morning air. "The man opposing us came to this country a guest and repaid our hospitality by breaking the law. And somehow got it into their head that should convert to their agenda and thinking process.” 

In the next part, Seto would speak in a lower voice, aimed for the Hogokage 2 meters to his right. “And I thought my jokes were bad.” Since Ayato's cousin had not worn a helmet with his Shinogami armor, the Kage could see that his eyes burned an icy blue, the third stage of Meigan, Satori. The Earthforged version of the sword of the crusader on his left hip. Two Fuma Shuriken tied to his belt, next to his weapon pouches that carried additional projectiles and consumables. Seto had told Ayato there was other equipment to his storage displacement dimension to summon if need be. The handle of the greatsword Heaven's Feel Claymore poked out his shoulder as he smiled sadly. 

Ayato found solace dressed in his Nova armor, an outfit that consisted of a well-worn vest over black clothing, cargo trousers, and combat shinobi sandals that reached his ankles. The Hyuuga had placed projectiles and consumables properly inside the four pouches tied on the belt around his waist. The only variation on the 50 health armor was the studded sniper’s bracers that his closest friend Masashi had made for him. Each of the bracers had three marked legacy senbon. “Six will do it.” He had reassured himself. If Ayato got into a spray-and-pray situation, any more metal needles wouldn’t make a difference.

The Byakugan was active, chakra pulsing along the veins and nerves of his face. They bulged up in a manner almost grotesque, reaching up from the top of the spinal column and across his cheeks. They were up to his temples and into his eyes. The pupil was distinct, the outline etched into the iris via a flexing vein, giving the shinobi of noble birth an aggressive and hostile appearance.

The Byakugan's long-range vision would have little use here. Instead, a single additional nerve flexed under each eye - his vision narrowed to a 360-degree, seeing as far as their maximum range permitted. He focused on the Mad Doctor and his daughter’s monstrous bodies, tracking every flash of their nervous system to predict the missing-nin movements.

“You have lived too long, Stein.”  The man was battle-hardened and what felt like a hundred years older, with pale skin, dead eyes, and a crest of bristly grey-black hair that ran from his brow to the base of his neck. For the first time all day, Hyuuga felt certain. “That is what I was made for,”; he thought—” The dance, the sweet steel song, a fighting stance, and a foe before me.”

What was this Stein up to? Casually, making threats near the gates of the village. At least that is what people uttered as they moved out of the way of the chaos that was sure to ensue. The Vulture of Hoshi was not much a fan of the man or the kage’s decisions regarding him. Hopefully, this was a lesson to the Hyuga lordling. This missing ninja’s first days in Hoshi were one of stepping on the toes of Akabayashi Terumi, a slight that the doctor could do nothing about until this moment.  

The doctor stationed outside the gates 60 meters away from Stein and Kana, but currently hidden from view would make seals for ninjutsu amplifier followed by no seals at all. He was waiting to see what the man planned to do. Would there be a brawl or would this be settled through words. The doctor hidden on the mountainside would wonder as he held the final amplification seal. This area the Vulture was located was filled with enough earth to make any Terumi/Senju hybrid happy. The doctor kept his eyes on the show before him, the areas above him, and the area around him. The man even took to checking the ground around him scanning it for anything odd like traps. 

No, crime lord who made it to S rank was dumb. There was likely back up, but where were they hidden? Perhaps it would be best to lay in wait until they revealed themselves. Alternatively, the man’s backers would show or flee if he was placed under enough pressure.

Masashi's stats:

The day had started off as normal for Masashi Uzumaki. He got up and got out of bed, stood on his balcony and watched the sun rise for a little while. The peacefulness of the situation was incredibly soothing. He got cleaned up and went downstairs to eat some breakfast, prepared for him by his staff. It was delicious as usual. He was about halfway through his meal when a messenger had arrived panting from being out of breath. He had a message from Ayato, an urgent matter, to the point where he was to drop everything and meet him at the village gates as soon as he could physically make it there. This concerned the Uzumaki Jounin. He got up and made his way back upstairs, where his weapons and armour were located. His butler helped him get dressed and armed properly. He didn’t bother with his leather duster today, just the essentials, no need for showmanship right now. In preparation for a fight, he placed a kunai on his right bracer and a senbon on his left one, both held there in place thanks to the Lightning Arc Seals that were placed on them. He would then prick the palm of his hand, make the necessary hand seals and placed it on the ground, summoning a single serpent. Tsutomu looked up at him quizzically. “No time to explain,” Masashi said to his friend, “I need you to climb onto me and start collecting nature energy for me, just in case.” Tsutomu nodded and wound his way up Masashi so that he was wrapped around his torso, in such a way that wouldn’t impede the Uzumaki Jounin’s movement. Preparations made, Masashi would leave his home, stopping only to stoop down and mould some more dirt into explosive clay.

No sightseeing this time, Masashi would take the shortest route from his home to the main gate. Once he’d arrived, he could see what the potential problem was. Ayato was standing at roughly five meters from the gate, with someone on his left side, he didn’t recognize who it was from the back. Standing about 45 meters away from him, outside the village, was Stein. He had a girl whom he didn’t recognize either. It looked however like Stein was looking for a fight, and if that was what he wanted here, the Uzumaki Jounin was more than happy to give it to him. Masashi would walk up beside Ayato, standing one meter to the right, and one meter behind him. He would bow respectfully to the Hogokage, but not taking his eyes off the potentially hostile individuals a little ways away. “I got your summons, Lord Hogokage,” Masashi would say to his friend. “What do you require?”

“I can feel it; the sand will turn red today.” The Yomiyama thought as he proceeded to activate his Monster technique, boosting his vigor and speed, the dark aura emanating from the pores of his skin solidifying into a cloak that blanketed his body and equipment as it extended to its maximum range.

“It concerns that interested party,” Ayato said to Kotetsu, his jaw clenched as hard as steel as he activated his chakra scrambling seal to mask his chakra presence. “That man aims to destroy everything your good mother helped build.” The Kage said. “You stay by my side and on high alert and see how we deal with him.” There was good probable cause, even if Stein and his daughter stood still as stone on the sandy valley outside the gates and 45 meters away from where Ayato stood.

Perhaps Stein was better at reacting and countering than being the aggressor in actual combat. Not that this mattered to Seto, who fought like a wild beast. Ayato was of a more cautious mind, and his Byakugan would remain vigilant, keeping watch on the area. With Masashi now there, Ayato would switch the white eye’s vision to 1 direction to get the 1-mile range and keep turning his head, left to right, and back again. Ready to react as he saw fit to whatever presented itself. Be an opportunity or a threat.

The Shinkou and the Ragdoll, though. A battle made for the history books. Stein of Konoha the last S rank missing Nin, a relic of a bygone era. Seto Yomiyama, the drunkard knight who turned into a man of faith after a near-death experience. He began to move swiftly towards Stein and his daughter at his maximum speed in a straight line. The Meigan was active, and Seto was ready to change his actions depending on how they reacted; he never made direct eye contact with either of the individuals that threatened the established order of Hoshi.  

Seto formed the hand seals that ended with a clenched left-hand fist for the Curse of Death link and then the seven handseals for the Laughing Coffin. It was then that the Yuumei amplifier split its enhancement to both speed and power for the Coffin, whose handseals, fortunately for Seto, had ended a second later. When Seto was 25 meters away from them, he released from his body the hell-storm of ten tendrils of darkness 30 cm in thickness each. 

They phased through his armor and barrier jutsu and, at the same time, avoided colliding with one another, flying directly towards Stein and Kana with their trajectory taking any necessary steps to land on their targets.

It seemed the missing ninja and his sidekick were going to stand there menacingly as one other person strolled up to the side of the kage. From such a great distance the Nova couldn't make out the lip movements through the gaps between some boulders on the mountain. Hell, he couldn't even tell who was there beside the kage. He only knew it was Ayato because of the hat a kage wears and white cloak. Of the two standing before the gates he could see much better, he could see Kana with the missing ninja of Konoha. Was this the father in which she spoke of or was he hiding among some rock somewhere.

Akabayashi couldn't worry about that at the moment he had other things to do as one of the people standing next to Ayato made the first move. The first move being rushing straight at the duo. Forgoing the amplification he was doing the Nova would make seals for the shadow clone technique making two clones both unheard without some form of advanced hearing due to the distance. One clone would appear behind the Terumi unseen while the other would appear 2m in front of Akabayashi and a couple inches in front of the boulder hiding him. (The second clone is 58m from Stein.) The clone would dash forward making seals for Boiling Wolf's Rain using the technique if the clone got within 30m's (of Stein or Kana whichever is closest) of the missing ninja, before stopping. This technique was special as the jutsu could make allies immune to its effects the clone made the effort to exclude Ayato, Masashi, and the person charging Stein from the effects, of course the Terumi and his clones were already immune. If the jutsu was activated the clouds overhead would become dark and rain would fall in a 50m diameter around the clone. 

With the chakra vision possessed by Ayato and Stein they would be able to see the chakra within the pouring rain. 

The clone and real Akabayashi in the rear would keep watch in separate directions the clone looking at the left and rear with the real watching the front and right. With less to have to watch he could keep his focus on what was happening. The Terumi had made himself known if not seen by making the shadow clone, hopefully Stein and his daughter or whatever she was would be too focused on what was happening before them to turn. From his view the duo hadn't made any effort to look behind them yet.

Stein and the woman with him just stood there staring at the trio. Masashi watched them carefully as Ayato briefly summarized the situation. The Uzumaki Jounin’s eyes narrowed as his Hogokage mentioned that the hostile shinobi wanted to tear down what his mother has worked so hard to build. His orders were to watch and to protect his friend. “Understood,” Masashi would say to Ayato. Tsutomu would continue to pull in nature energy for him so that if it was needed, he would have plenty stored to draw from at a moment’s notice. Other than that, he would keep his senses sharp, to be ready to react to any move that either of the pair would make. The other member of their trio charged forward and made some hand seals. The battle would soon begin, and Masashi hoped that it would work quickly in their favour.

The rain began to fall in sheets just as the battle was over, it seemed. The attack had caught both of its intended targets. The father was the first to be hit. A tendril pierced through Stein’s stomach area and onto his liver. The second, through Kana’s chest and where her heart supposedly was. 

Two more whips did the rest. One wrapped around the torso of Stein, binding his arm movements by locking them to his sides and then extend to wrap around the male’s legs, fully constricting him. At the same time, another whip did the same to his daughter. Seto had made sure to pin both outlaws on their stomachs, their faces kissing the sand. Nothing above the neck would be touched by the tendrils, leaving the entirety of their faces free from any damage. The end of the whips that respectively bound them in place pressing against the back of their heads, but not with enough force to damage them. 

A pool of blood would begin to form underneath the duo, with the sand eagerly drinking it. “Time to feed them to the flames.” Seto proclaimed in exhilaration, stopping 1 meter away from the girl and slightly to her right; the six remaining tendrils would remain unoccupied, extending upwards towards the cloudy sky and ready to snap towards any unpleasant surprise.

“Half our village is made of non-believers. Pray harder.” Ayato’s voice was sharp as a sword thrust that took flight as he screamed from the top of his lungs for all those present to hear. “I do this.” The Kage, still aware of his surroundings and ready to react to them, activated Hyuuga's valor, enhancing his speed and chakra. He pointed a rough, callused palm towards Stein's direction. His forearm bulged momentarily as a projectile took flight aiming to hit Stein's exposed scalp, but not his face or body, the projectiles dealing damage at jutsu power and nothing beyond that. Ayato charged additional projectiles in the case one wouldn't do the job. With a sigh, Seto would clear the way for the projectile to pass through any of his active tendrils that were not currently binding or attached to their targets.

The moment Stein was hit, Seto would unsheathe the sword from his hip and swing it downwards at Kana, with the intent to slice her head off her shoulders, the impact force behind it significant enough to cause decapitation.

Regardless if that is the end of the battle or not, Ayato should have done what he did today a while ago. Instead of executing him for breaking the law, Ayato gave Stein a second chance because he firmly believed in those. Or perhaps he was trying to keep the legacy of Akihana Akari alive. A woman that was no longer there. And that proved to be a fatal mistake. And the Ragdoll betrayed him with the first chance he got. Well, there would be no third chances and no more betrayals either.

However, he would not allow any burning within sight of his walls, not for Genins to watch. He was going to give Stein a clean death; he owed his son at least that much. Kobayashi's story was the most unfortunate, choosing between the duty to the village and his family.  And as for Ayato, the man who passes sentence should swing the sword, or so the singers said. One or two songs could be made of the Siege of Hoshi from the last true S-rank missing-nin and how a Priest of Yuumei charged first. And of Ayato the Seventh Hogokage who finished the job.

What an utter disappointment. Was all the Terumi could think as the missing ninja and his associate didn't move, resist, or even protest what against what was happening. Surely, they were all caught up in a genjutsu to make them believe events had transpired this easily. At least that is what the clone thought.

The real Akabayashi knew the events happening to be real. Everyone was too far spread to all be caught within the same technique. The man stood at his post silently in wonder about Stein's suicidal nature. One thing was clear about this display this man was trying to die, but why? Why would you threaten the natives of Hoshi then when the forces arrive to stop you and begin an assault stand there idly unflinching. It was far too suspicious. The man would think still continuously directing his gaze all around himself.

The clone thinking it a trap would move forward 6 meters while making seals for Killer T Cells activing the technique if something stopped the kage's assault on the MN. The killer T cells if activated woule devour the flesh of both Stein and Kana leaving the rest intact. The cells would also not harm his allies or their techniques which could harmlessly pass through.

The tendrils would likely kill the two first, but it was better to be safe. There was something quite off about this ordeal. One thing could be said about this day that a person refusing to defend themself, bearing only threats and the girl standing with them were put down without mercy. The proper way.

They were just standing there, taking whatever punishment was being dished out. The woman was likely dead already, and the sword strike to cut off her head was likely unnecessary, but most likely would provide some form of display to those that would attempt harm on the village. Masashi didn’t really like that tactic, but nothing could be done about it really. As long as the village was safe, that was what mattered. It would appear that the situation was well in hand for now, so Masashi would simply stay where he was and stand at the ready, prepared to rush to defend Ayato should the need arise.
