This Time, It's Personal (Village Entrance)
Fri Jan 22, 2021 2:17 am
Just out of sight from the first guardhouse that resides within the shaded area of The Cleft itself, space and time would appear to become distorted. This anomaly would present itself as a swirling animation as a link between two dimensions would successfully be established and out from it a boy with shoulder length black hair and tired eyes would appear. His feet would land lightly on the sand as his body would fully solidify, marking the completion of his long-range teleportation from Kamui to Sunagakure. The boy who appeared stood at a height of 172 CM and had a light skin complexion. His eyes were crimson red due to his sharingan being activated, underneath them were dark black circles due to the lack of rest the Uchiha had gotten leading up to his arrival. He was also wearing a charcoal colored cloak that effectively covered his normal shinobi gear which was comprised of a sheathed sword, a durable body suit, and several ninja weapon pouches. Now that he was here, Ita made his way towards the villages gates in hopes of making progress towards his reason for coming here.
It has been a long time since Ita had last been to Sunagakure, but depiste this gap in time, the village’s gates did not appear to change much. Sunagakure was unique in the fact that it’s gates were comprised of a single cleft that was surrounded by towering 100m walls on both sides, effectively making it a one-way entrance and exit. It was currently the middle of the day, approximately 3PM and the Sun was high in the sky, beating down on those below. It felt good on the boy’s skin as he neared the guardhouse, the warm climate of the Desert was a nice change from the chilly weather of Konogakure this time of year.
Ita felt slightly anxious as he approached the villages guard house. Could this be a mistake? He thought to himself. Last time he was here, Konoha and Sunagakure had been allies. Was this still the case? Depending on how the guard would react to his arrival, Ita would tailor his response to fit the situation. He was not necessarily here to sneak around, but he was also not eager to give up any information that could put him in a tight situation and compromise his mission. Due to his discrete appearance and casual gate, it would not be clear to whomever he met that he was indeed a Jounin of Konoha, or even a shinobi at all. Ita opted to not wear his Konoha head band, but instead kept it, alongside his other credentials, in one of his weapon pouches that were hidden beneath his charcoal-colored cloak.
Once Ita arrived at the gate, he waited off to the side as there were several others that had arrived before him that were waiting to be processed and granted entry to the village. There was no uniform line, instead, everyone waiting considered the order of their arrivals and as they neared their turn, would begin to relocate closer to the processing area. The Jounin was relieved that the gate was busy because his lone arrival may have been considered suspicious depending on what the current circumstances were. The person who had arrived before him, or so he assumed since those left had arrived after the boy, had been called up to the processing area signaling to the Uchiha that his turn was next. The boy moved closer to the guard house. Despite how long it was taking the guard to process the visitors, he was not impatient. Instead, he used this time to ponder how he would conduct his business once inside. Truth be told, his plan of action was only a half-baked idea, but Ita needed answers. He needed allies, and most of all, he needed revenge.

Lilith would sigh in boredom as she stared out the narrow window of the guard post, that damned old man Han was sick, and Kenshin didn’t want to have to be the one to take over the shift once again, so he had somehow shoehorned her into doing it. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t THAT bad, sitting in a relatively cool guard post and just taking peoples names and giving them their ID’s, but it was so damn boring… and she had never really handled boredom that well. The line wasn’t that long, but there were still enough people to keep her out of the realm of TRUE boredom for a few minutes… and hey, that was something
Suddenly, out of nowhere, she would detect a chakra signature only 10m away from her, but unfortunately out of sight of the guard post. Ugh… surely an attacker wouldn’t let themselves be caught so senselessly right? She was less tense as she felt the person in question step into the line with the others who were waiting, but still… her guard would never truly drop. The line seemed to go quickly, and next up was the stranger who she had been watching closely… with her sensory, not her eyes… so sensing carefully?
“Hello there. I’ll need your name and your ID, as well as your reason for visiting Sunagakure today.” The Uzumaki would say with a somewhat cheery smile on her face. Heh, nobody could say she wasn’t a good actress.

The Uchiha boy stepped up to the guard post only to be greeted by the voice of what appeared to be an angel. For a moment he did not respond, her long red hair seeming to ensnare the late teen. If he had been visiting the village for any other reason, he would have made it his priority to get to know her, but instead, he looked upon her with dark dreamy eyes that appeared to stare right through you. Despite the ominous undertone of his gaze, his eyes were those of someone with kind intentions, although upon further observation an empath may be able to sense the underlying sadness behind them.
“R-right.” He stuttered before motioning his right hand behind his back towards his weapon pouch to secure his credentials. His motions were smooth and non-alarming, and as his hand resurfaced, his cloak would fall back into place. Ita felt slight embarrassed as he eyed his I.D. before handing it over to her as requested. It had been sometime since he had gotten his credentials replaced. The picture on the front of his I.D. was from when he was younger, 13 years old maybe. The boy’s hair was much shorter in the picture and his face blissfully naïve. His hair was now past shoulder length, and he was taller. Despite the obvious changes in appearance, the boy never lost his kind eyes which were now glued on her as he waited to see what she would think of his picture.
“My name is Ita Uchiha.” He’d say, “I am a Jounin of Konohagakure and I’ve come here to meet with the Hokage.” If she had observed his I.D. she would learn that he was indeed who he said he was and that his reason for being here was hopefully valid. In fact, Ita hoped to learn at this very moment whether or not he had come to the right place. The boy’s eye’s studied her reaction to a ‘T’ in anticipation of what she had to say- looking for any sign that would provide him a hint as to what her response to his credentials or reasoning for his visit would be.
The only thing between him and fate was this beautiful woman. Was she placed here for a reason? To lead him to his death? Maybe to reject the boy and to save him from himself? Or maybe by letting him in it would ultimately be the reason why his people were saved? It was crazy to think how a single, seemingly harmless decision, could have such a profound impact on the future. Maybe all of this was just inside his head. His lack of sleep was making it hard to differentiate fiction from reality, but he would soon find the answers he was searching for.

Hmm, Ita Uchiha, Jounin of Konoha and here to meet with the Hokage… that would explain a fair bit about his sudden appearance, likely some space-time specialist with the ability to teleport around the place willy nilly… something she could only replicate in a very limited fashion with her own Fuinjutsu. Despite the obvious out of date nature of his ID she could see that he was indeed the same person, with the matching facial structure, eye and hair colours. His reason also checked out, as the Hokage was indeed still within Sunagakure after the summit, and had been there since well before the summit… perhaps the man that stood before her was here to take him back? Who knows. Not that she really cared either, she liked her gossip but she didn’t like sticking her nose into serious business that didn’t involve her.
With a light hum Lilith would reach into the drawer to her right and withdraw a visitation permit, before filling out all the relevant information and sliding it out the gap in the window.
“Everything checks out, thank you for making the process easier, and enjoy your stay in Sunagakure” The Uzumaki would say with a small smile, before calling the next person in line forth.

Despite the complexity of his situation, being granted access to the village was just another daily transaction for the girl in front of him. She would validate his entrance and provide him with his credentials and a visitor pass granting approved access to the village. Without saying thank you, the boy would pocket the documents and make his way through the village gates.
