A Strange Sight... To Say The Least. Empty A Strange Sight... To Say The Least.

Some old wounds never truly heal
CHERRY BLOSSOM

This wasn’t the first time Suika found herself entering the hospital; the very first time she had entered was when she met the former Kazekage; she shuttered at the thought… That man was unnatural… His chakra stilled haunted her; the feeling was different this time as she entered the hospital. As her small hand continued to apply pressure on her wound she walked in to the bustling hospital; seemed like a busy day. She scanned the area looking for somewhere she could sit for the time being, suddenly a shrill voice rang through, “Miss are you okay?” a horrified middle-age lady looked towards Suika. “Huh? Oh… Yeah, I got… Stabbed?” She replied, almost as if her answer was a question itself.

The woman starred for a few moments assessing the situation before her; “Y…Yes! Of course, we’ll get to you right away!” As she spoke, a group of people were rushed in, “We found them out in the desert! It looks like heat exhaustion! It was a large group, there is still more coming!” The woman’s face turned red as she glanced back towards Suika, “W…Would it be okay if we dealt with this first ma’am?” Suika smiled and nodded, “I’m not bleeding’ all that bad. Should be fine for a bit.” Suika shrugged it off, and wondered over towards were the cafeteria was, she realized that she was quite thirsty.

A momentary pause as Suika walked down the hallway, her eyes glancing every now and again towards open rooms, some having patients in them, other being empty. She quickly slipped into one that was completely empty, or at least so she thought. “I really just don’t understand how it happened… Stabbed… But no evidence of who did it…” She muttered, her petite body seemed paler than usual, probably from the blood loss throughout the night, she sat down on one of the beds as she slipped her shirt off, tearing a section from the bottom to use as a make shift bandage for the time being, Suika knew some jutsu for the medical aspect of things but wasn’t quite skilled in the matter… She wrapped the shirt scrap around her body, tightening it around her waist as she grimaced faintly from the pain, “Tsk… It shouldn’t hurt that much.” She muttered, pulling the ripped shirt back over her body.

Suika sighed as she stood up, her slender body more in view now that half of her shirt was literally tied around her waist; the shirt was cut off at the most awkward position; generally Suika tried to hide her scar; but in the moment she didn’t even realize that it was showing. The large bright red piece of skin on her right side, measuring 5 inches long, in the left diagonal slant stood out quite well, although only approximately two and a half inches of it showing, as the rest of the scar was covered by breast and shirt. Unlike her usual garment choice; she felt more exposed than normal with the shirt having to be ripped. Of course she could have used the hospital supplies in the room, but without being an official member of Sunagakure – she decided it was best to wait before randomly taking supplies from the only hospital in the large city. She sighed slightly, stretching her body to ensure the tightness of the make shift bandage would hold until she could be seen by either a civilian doctor of medical shinobi… She of course would prefer a medical shinobi… Once scar on her body was enough; considering her ivory skin tone didn’t handle scars very well… She sighed, running her hands through her hair, before beginning to walk out of the room.

As she glanced in both directions, just to ensure she wasn’t caught slipping into a room without permission; she paused as a group of several doctors began down the corridor that she was hoping to slip into. Quickly she turned heel and quickly and quietly began to close the door, hoping she wasn’t about to be caught and reprimanded for using the room for just a little bit of privacy. However the quick heel turn caused her a little more pain than anticipated as she gasped from the sharp stabbing pain in her right side; a gush of red hit against the shirt scrap and dribbled onto the floor; she groaned as she held up her hand. “Focus… Focus not on the pain…” She whispered to herself as she focused on the cold, she didn’t want to create snow or flakes this time… All she wanted was to slow down her own blood in that area to help with the bleeding… She continued to focus as she sighed, her hand not becoming colder. “Am I really that exhausted? Could it be because of this wound?” She groaned, as she moved towards the bed. “Why can’t I preform any jutsu!” She whined softly to herself as she flopped onto the bed, sitting up and crossed legged as she closed her eyes.

Just mediate… Focus on your breathing Suika…” She muttered, hoping this last ditch effort to calm herself and focus her energy would help. She needed to be in perfect health for when she went to the new Kazekage – She wanted to prove to Mizuki that she could be a good fit not only for the village but for the shinobi forces of Sunagakure… But if she couldn’t even preform a simple task like using her Kekkei Genkai to just slow down her own blood flow in such a small area… Was simply put… Pathetic.

The view of Suika was interesting one to say the least, if anyone would happen to walk into the room; they would find her sitting crossed legged, hands on her knees; eyes closed, her blonde hair cascaded around her petite slender body, her curves hugged by a simple tight white shirt, ripped just below her breasts; her bright red scar slightly in line of view, with the ripped portion of shirt tied tightly against her waist. Covered in quite a large amount of blood at this point; along with her simple black shorts.

A Strange Sight... To Say The Least. Empty Re: A Strange Sight... To Say The Least.

Tue Nov 30, 2021 12:03 pm
Having just completed a routine transplantation surgery, Guren walked amongst a group of doctors from the surgical room and on to the break room. Though the Hospital was no longer short staffed, he found himself often being requested to lend a hand at the hospital. And this was to Guren's pleasure, as he took any opportunity he could find to refine his abilities in the medical field. And being a disciple of iryojutsu allowed him to utilize his chakra as an extension of his medical know how. As they proceeded down the corridor, Guren would be alarmed when hearing the subtle closing of a door. He'd pause from his stride, breaking off from the doctors, who would continue onward to the break room. The only reason it caught him by surprise, was because typically only nurses and doctors would close the doors to the rooms. Patients should be bound to their beds so that they could rest. Yet as Guren had ample time in the halfway, he noticed no doctors or nurses presiding his group in that hallway. Now alone, Guren would look at his surroundings. There were two doorways on both his left and right sides, all with closed doors. Three of the four rooms would have charts attached to clipboards which were magnetized to a panel on each door. The fourth did not, meaning there should have been no one in that room.

With a peculiar expression upon his face, Guren would proceed towards the door lacking a file. He'd stretch his chakra sensory outward to feel if there were any notable presences in the room. And when he did so, he immediately felt a twinge of distressed chakra emanating out from no more than two or three meters inside of the room. He'd knock twice, then enter the room without waiting to hear a response from whoever was inside. When he'd enter, his eyes immediately fell upon a woman who sat calmly upon the bed in a meditative stance. Before calling out to her and interrupting her focus, Guren would visually inspect the woman. There was a lot of blood. Judging from the makeshift bandage tied around her waist, that's where the wound was. Guren would activate his Ketsuryugan, and immediately locate the source of the wound. It was a deep, unhealed gash upon the woman's waist that was continuously bleeding. Judging by the rate of blood loss, he only had few minutes to act before the woman would likely succumb to shock. "Excuse me," Guren would sternly interrupt as he rolled up the sleeves to his shirt. Subsequently he would rifle through two sets of hand seals, each being performed by one of Guren's hands. With that, each would glow with its own light aura. The left belonging to the chakra anesthetic technique, and the right of the mystical palm. "Do I have your consent to treat your wounds? That bandage was a good temporary solution, but I can have you fixed up in mere moments." Guren would say while flashing a smile, exuding confidence and care which should provide the woman with amply amount of comfort in his ability to heal her.

Some old wounds never truly heal
CHERRY BLOSSOM

As Suika sat meditating, she would take note in the weaker feeling throughout her body; she could feel the blood beginning to drip from the make shift bandage she had created. She would once more attempt to use her chakra along with her ice to freeze the wound, or even slow her entire blood flow, instead of trying to focus on a single small area. As she focused, a light blue aura would slowly begin to beam from her body, she could feel the shift in the room; the temperature dropping over all. However this would become another unsuccessful; unable to slow or even freeze the wound itself was a struggle that Suika would need to deal with internally; she was unsure if it was due to the attack itself… Or if something was placed mentally when she was under the genjutsu… She couldn’t determine the correct answer, at least not as her body was becoming weaker, at this point the blood loss would be a great deal worse then when she was at the Grove.

She knew as it became a more requirement of strength to stay up right, that she was in a dangerous position; she would need to remove herself from the room, and seek medical attention quickly, when she first arrived, she hadn’t realized the depth of the wound, nor the danger she was truly in. As Suika made her first attempt to get up; she found that the strength it took to move her arms alone was more then she could give to her entire body… But she was in a hospital after all; if she ended up passing out from blood loss, or in shock; it couldn’t be long before a doctor would show up… Right? As Suika returned to meditating, she would let a small quiver of a sigh release from her lips; blissfully unaware of the events happening outside of the hospital room she was currently in.

Unaware that someone had noticed her, further oblivious of the knocks that occurred on the door as she fixated on her breathing; it wasn’t until she heard a masculine voice that she would breathe out; sharply, as the agony of breathing stung her lungs and throat; at this point she had lost a copious amount of blood. She knew by the way she felt that it was only a matter of minutes before shock would over come her; “Excuse me,” was the first words she heard, and nearly the last the man asked for consent. Suika; far weaker at this point than she had been when she first entered the room, the ripped portion of the shirt concealing the laceration was now doused in blood, “Yes, you have my permission.” She managed to muster out before finally falling back onto the hospital bed, too weak at this point to sit up straight; she kept her eyes closed; as she would remain unaware of the male who was offering help.

A Strange Sight... To Say The Least. Empty Re: A Strange Sight... To Say The Least.

Thu Dec 02, 2021 7:43 am
With approval, Guren would instantly navigate closer to the woman. Once within range, he would extend his left and right hands forward over the clearly visible gash. The numbing agent, chakra anesthetic would kick in first. Instantly negating any pain that the woman would feel from the wound or from the treatment going on. Right after that, the mystical palm technique would shine. Its embrace would hug the immediate area of the wound, blanketing it with warm and pure chakra. The interaction between the two medical techniques would flourish, apparent by the effects they had on the woman's body. The wound's bleeding was brought to a halt, and the gash itself was starting to heal. Guren's immense chakra control would allow for this wound to be rapidly healed.

"How did this happen?" Guren would ask as he continued to expel the chakra from both palms. His eyes would flicker between the wound and the face of the woman. He didn't recognize her at all, ruling out the possibility of her being a Sunagakure shinobi. But the fact that this woman received such a serious injury and was still conscious was an implication that she was far from an ordinary citizen. This was enough to kill anyone of civilian status. Thus, Guren inferred that she must have been either a shinobi visiting from another village, or a missing ninja. In either case, she was fortunate that she made her way to the hospital. By the looks of the wound initially, she likely only had minutes until the blood loss would become irreversible.

Deactivating his Ketsuryugan, Guren no longed detected any blood loss from the woman. Instead, it seemed as if she had been stabilized for the moment. He retracted his hands back towards his sides, as now the wound itself was healed. Still though, Guren would need to replace the blood that the woman had loss. Luckily, his Ketsuryugan was able to discern the characteristics of the woman's blood and fortunately they were compatible with his own. "I'll need to perform a quick blood transfusion to restore some of what you lost. You're stable, but it will take your body far too long to recover the blood loss you received. Let me do this and you'll be back to normal in no time." Guren said as he maneuvered over to one of the cabinets in the corner of the room. From it, he would withdraw a needle, hose, and rubber tie. He'd walk back over to the woman and if she agreed, he would proceed to fasten the rubber tie around the woman's arm. Following this, he would search for a vein at the base of his wrist. After seeing it protrude, he'd swiftly yet painlessly inject the needle into the vein. With his other hand, he'd secure the hose onto the back end of the needle. Finally Guren's thumb would spin the ring upon his finger, pricking himself to cause himself to bleed. Then he'd attach the other end of the hose to his wound, and through Sanguinary Entanglement a thin blood wire would transfer from his wound into the hose and subsequently into the vein of the woman.

"This is weird, I know. But it will serve as an efficient transfusion. In the meantime...who are you?"

Some old wounds never truly heal
CHERRY BLOSSOM

Although there wasn’t much pain that Suika could feel anymore at this point; due to her training to not show any form of weakness – the irritation of the wound would quickly dissipate. Breathing no longer stung; which she was pleasantly pleased about… She could feel the chakra pulsing through her body as it began to repair the wound; “How did this happen?” How could she even begin to explain her entire situation? She wasn’t exactly sure of it either… Was she in a nightmare and attacked herself? Was Shoji really there and attacked her? She couldn’t even begin to tell the difference between the warped reality that she was in… She certainly couldn’t be sure that this very moment wasn’t apart of some genjutsu that Shoji had trapped her in…

Suika nodded softly as he began of talks of a blood transfusion, this was something Suika was all to aware of, however she couldn’t find the strength to disagree to it; the disgust of having her blood mixed with another’s made her shudder mentally, however this was a life or death situation, and she would bite her tongue for now… As she watched the man get to work, her eyes never leaving his movements once, she took note; mentally of everything he did… It was always interesting to see doctors in their trade… She was inspiring to learn the medical side of jutsu, as it was something that she knew would come in handy some day. It wasn’t the usual way that one would see a blood transfusion done, but efficient none the less… Then the man spoke once more… The question she was hoping to avoid…

My name… Is Suika.” She stopped there, she couldn’t bring herself to divulge to much information off the bat to a complete strange, “I suppose you could consider me a “Missing Ninja”, of sorts… But I don’t quite consider myself that.” She would watch his facial expressions carefully before continuing; should his expression change at any point where she felt as if harm would come to her, she would attempt to flee, and get to some form of safety. “A long time ago, my parents… They were well… Murdered. I was instructed to leave; and get as far away as possible… I’ve been hunted since, by the same ANBU who killed my parents… I fell inline with… let’s call them a group. The leader became obsessed with me… Wanting my power for his own use… Events transpired, and I was separated from them, a old man took me; and saved my life, which brought me here… To Sunagakure.” She smiled, remembering the first time she entered Sunagakure… She had briefly met with the first Kazekage; and the second and current Kage of the village hidden in the wind before she became a kage… “I’ve been here a while now; living, funny enough; in the Grove. I find it peaceful there… Until well, today.” She looked down towards her stomach, the wound was healed, leaving only a small thin red mark against her snow white skin.

I don’t know if it was a nightmare that caused myself to attack myself… Or if he was really here.” She muttered, although at first she wished not to divulge the information, she had quickly reconsidered if… If she was crazy, then that was that… But if she wasn’t crazy… And he truly was in Sunagakure… This could mean trouble… She would quickly and promptly leave the village before he could cause any damage and return to being on the run.

A Strange Sight... To Say The Least. Empty Re: A Strange Sight... To Say The Least.

Sun Dec 05, 2021 10:06 am
Thinking quickly on his feet as the blood transfusion continued, Guren devised a plan. The words and resolve of Suika seemed authentic, and as Guren learned more the idea in the back of his head continued to seem more plausible. He could sense the woman was terrified of whoever her trackers were. Yet still, she managed to find peace in the comforts of Sunagakure, specifically within the Grove.

"Suika, thank you for sharing your situation with me. It's details like these that give me a better view of mindsets, and allow me to aid in determining solutions. To begin, I should introduce myself. Guren Chinoike, Deputy Kage of Sunagakure."

By this time, the transfusion was complete. And so Guren would safely and harmlessly detach the hose from Suika and himself, and remove the needle from her vein. At the same time, he'd hover his free hand over her vein, instantly granting a medical chakra aura over his hand and her vein. This would end the slight bleeding from the needle's prick. Suika should be completely healed by this point and feeling herself.

"And I can promise you that so long as you are in within the Sunagakure premises, you will be protected from any assailant. The laws of our village guarantee that. Of course, this protection could be extended in exchange for some loyalty to the village..." Guren continued as he tone trailed off. He would turn from Suika and walk over to a chair which sat in the corner of the room. Taking his seat, he would fold one leg over his knee and rest his elbow upon the propped up leg. His palm would open, and he would position his chin to sit within it while he looked towards Suika. "I can tell you're no regular person. Or even a regular shinobi. If that were the case, you would have been dead by now. So Suika, tell me. Just what are you capable of, and what would it take to employ those capabilities for the benefit of Sunagakure...as a shinobi? I myself am a missing ninja from Kumogakure. I came here to seek knowledge of my ancestry, and soon after found myself enlisting as a shinobi here. Since then I've taken a strong passion for serving the village, as unorthodox as it may be at times. And a lot of us come from the background. So it essentially is a family of outcasts, and because of that, we take care of each other. So, let us take care of you...of course, so long as you take care of Sunagakure as well." Although Guren was clearly offering Suika an opportunity to benefit Sunagakure, he was also offering Suika a life free of the worries from her past. As selfishly motivated the proposition was, it was also compassionate. Guren truly did feel compelled to help the woman, as no one should be in the state that she was in. Injured, anxiety ridden, on the run...It was difficult. Guren could empathize with this especially as he had been in a similar situation. And so when he was offered this deal, it was one he couldn't refused. As he waited for Suika's response, he would lightly gaze in her direction in anticipation of hearing how she would reply.

Some old wounds never truly heal
CHERRY BLOSSOM

Suika would listen to the man, his words were calm; almost trusting… Thankfully Suika knew better than to blindly trust; but any other person could easily trust this man… She at first; shocked to learn that this man would be considered Mizuki’s ‘right hand’ man so to speak… Deputy Kage of Sunagakure… Suika had obviously missed quite a large portion when the change of hands was made between the First and Second Kage… Promises of safety… Empty for the most part. If she was in fact the one who injured herself; there was no one who could stop her from doing it again. Suika watched the man now known to her as Guren Chinoike; he finished with the transfusion and moved himself over to the chair propped up in the corner of the room… Then came the questions she was hoping to avoid… Although she knew the question of her survival would be brought up, but this man already knew far to much.

She hadn’t quite put all of her chips into Sunagakure just yet… But now she was forced with the decision to make… She had been planning on this conversation with the Kage herself, but due to her absence with the summit… Suika found herself having the make the decision fair earlier then expected. Then the man would admit to leaving Kumogakure…This sparked a simmer in her eyes, something that hadn’t been there for a long time… A small sense of panic… Her own former home; perhaps… This man, not a thread per-say to her as he also left… She watched him closely; she could simply show him, then explain her story… Her events of things… She couldn’t even begin to question how it would go. A small sigh… Her eyes would shut, even if it was just for a moment as she would begin to speak; returning and answering the questions as she could.

My family… Were simple people… After the fall of Yukigakure; my people were scattered… Sent to all ends of the known world…” She paused, her eyes opening back up; extending her right hand out; as she focused her chakra; almost instantly a small snowflake; floating just above her palm would appear, quickly growing in size to about 10 inches long to 10 inches wide; and just as quickly as it would appear, it would dissipate as well. “I suppose you could say I am not a regular person… By any means. I am capable of far scarier things; I have been trained as a weapon. I hold little to no emotion. After my parents were killed by the ANBU of Kumogakure; I went on the run; as directed to, I then was dragged into a group; where I officially became considered a ‘missing ninja’. They trained me to be what I am today, after I separated from them, I was in return trained by another man; that’s when the ANBU caught up to me… I’m sure at the time they were unaware that I existed back then… Or that one of their own allowed me to escape… Probably due to thinking I was a simple child, and not a spawn of the two they were sent to kill.” She laughed, shaking her head. “I have spent so much of my life becoming stronger… Becoming deadlier. And I won’t stop.” Her eyes narrowed towards Guren; as she inhaled, sharply; “Sunagakure; this past year that I have been here… Has become my home.

She clenched her jaw, she didn’t need anyone to take care of her… At least; that is what her pride told her. She did feel a sense of peace… Well, if that was peace; she did enjoy the feeling of it. “If Sunagakure would take me… I would be more than happy to put my life on the line for her.” Suika, for the first time in her collective memory did feel as if she finally had a home… Somewhere she could feel safe… Somewhere she felt as if she belonged… From the moment she first entered the village; to even this very day.

Suika would slip off of the hospital bed, standing straight this time, “Deputy Kage, Guren Chinoike; I would like to formally ask you to allow me to join the village, and shinobi force of Sunagakure.

A Strange Sight... To Say The Least. Empty Re: A Strange Sight... To Say The Least.

Mon Dec 06, 2021 8:28 am
Suika's story was a painful one, in some ways similar to Guren's. But in most ways it wasn't. He related to the fact that she was a missing ninja, pursued by Kumogakure Shinobi. Interestingly enough, Guren had only been pursued by a novice tracker shinobi. Suika stated she was chased by ANBU. Guren's eyes would widen slightly at this revelation. Just how powerful was this one. He'd prop both feet back down in front of him, and he'd lean forward in interest at Suika's story. For ANBU to come after her, she had to have at least been a Jounin by the time of her departure from Kumogakure. Guren had been a Chuunin. The differences in rank would likely dispel any chance of the two having met each other in their previous service. But still. Guren couldn't shake the thought that perhaps in another timeline where one of the two of them didn't desert Kumogakure, maybe the other would be tasked with coming after the escapist. Guren's brow furrowed at this thought. And as he listened on, the story would seem to become more interesting. She admitted to being used as a weapon. A tool almost. And to a degree, every shinobi was. Yet it seemed that no matter where she ended up, Suika constantly seemed to just be used. It was disheartening, and actually one of the reasons Guren himself left Kumogakure under one of its previous administrations. And upon seeing Suika's display of power, ice release, Guren could understand why they would weaponize her.

Yet that thought left Guren's mind as soon as Suika mentioned the word "home". It would seem as if the two really were more similar than Guren thought. Suika seemed hardened though, like Mizuki. Maybe if the two of them spent more time with Guren, they would lighten up a bit. Or at least feel more...at peace. Guren's nature had that unique quality. Calming. Tranquil.

Before Suika would mention her feelings on joining Sunagakure, Guren would interject.

"Suika. Your story is heartfelt, and one I can relate to. I too was pursued. I too was exploited. But since coming to Sunagakure, I too found family. I recognize the tone of my proposition may have sounded eerily similar to what you have heard in the past regarding people using your...abilities. But I assure you that's not only what Sunagakure is about. As I said, we are a family of misfits. And we'd love to welcome you into our own."

Suika would then make a convincing statement regarding her interest in joining Sunagakure. And with her rising from the bed, she would issue her request to become a shinobi of Wind Country. Guren would respond by standing in place and walking towards Suika. "Good to hear...Although I do not have a spare Sunagakure headband on me, you can report to the Spire and claim one from there. That is where Mizuki and I have our offices. But to officially adopt you as a child of Sunagakure, I'll need you to verbally swear your allegiance to the village. We don't have a dedicated oath, so anything of your own devotion will suffice." Guren would say. He bore a welcoming smile. It was the first time in their interaction that Suika seemed even remotely happy and healthy. This could be the start of something magnificent.

Some old wounds never truly heal
CHERRY BLOSSOM
Suika would once again listen to the deputy Kage; she would continue to watch him carefully; although he may want her to believe he was an ally, he was still former Kumogakure… She simply couldn’t take a chance of letting down her guard… As he spoke, he spoke of a family, one comprised together of misfits; people who didn’t seem to belong, creating a space where they could belong… She could see that; as well as sense it as she walked through Sunagakure… It was indeed a home of misfits… Misfits that were able to relax, take a chance to breath. Their home in the middle of the desert gave them a chance to let go a lot of their worries… She knew that she wanted to ensure Sunagakure’s prosperity. She wanted to give the home she was welcomed into a chance for others like her… After she spoke upon her feelings in regards to Suna; to her people and wanting to join their ranks, did the man before her known as Guren… Accept her.

It was the first time, in a long time, she truly felt accepted… It wasn’t just him, accepting her; no… By his authority, granted to him by the Kazekage herself, she knew that his acceptance was that of Mizuki’s too… She couldn’t help but feel… What she could only assume was relief. She smiled towards him; unsure if he himself would be able to deter if it was a genuine smile or not, although she truly wished that it was – smiling was something that never came easy to the young kunoichi; still standing before the man; she would listen to his words very carefully; she needed to verbally swear her allegiance to the village; Suika thought for a moment… Pondering how to give an appropriate oath… To swear upon a village and properly do so… She seemed lost in thought, even if it was only for a few moments; and within a split second she could be seen forming a small ice shard in her hand; however this shard was sharp; sharp enough to cut the skin on her palm; this was something she had seen Shoji do when new members would join his ‘family’; and swear upon him.

I, Suika Yuki, do hereby swear to uphold and protect the village known as Sunagakure. With blood, sweat and tears – I will defend it until my dying breath.” She spoke the words almost as if they came naturally from her heart; no matter how cold and distance her heart might have been from the situation. She knew that agreeing to become… What was she agreeing to become? She gaze returned to the Chinoike; “I don’t mean to be… abrasive; but what would be my rank within the village… Exactly?” She narrowed her eyes, unsure if she was ready for the answer or not.

A Strange Sight... To Say The Least. Empty Re: A Strange Sight... To Say The Least.

Guren watched as Suika cut her palm, symbolic of the kunoichi offering a blood oath. Guren would smile in approval. It was quite a way to make an impression. And the words she spoke alongside the oath were unwavering. She spoke with passion and authenticity. Guren had no choice but to nod in approval when she could conclude her vow of affirmation.

"Good..." he began. "Regarding your rank, I would see it that whatever your rank was prior to you becoming a missing ninja is reinstated. Judging by the fact that ANBU were pursuing you and not just tracker ninja, I'd assume you were a Jounin? If so, then consider yourself a newly appointed Jounin of Sunagakure. When we reconvene in the Spire, I will give you your headband and flak jacket. We'll also need to update your identification card to reflect your new status. Same as any Sunagakure ninja, you will be given free housing in our residential campus. You can get that assignment from Mia, receptionist at both the Hospital and the Spire depending on the day."

Guren would pause for a moment to see if Suika had any questions before asking, "There's plenty of paperwork and more details for us to go over, but from this point forward consider yourself a Sunagakure kunoichi."
