Never Stop Improving {Meika/Hiroki}

It’s no unknown knowledge that every individual had their differences. From communicating, to their own beliefs and style. Not everyone was a match for another. Some clashed like oil trying to mix with water.

But fighting was something else entirely. Much like dancing, the other would have to learn their person’s movements. Only then can you react appropriately. If one doesn’t know the other’s foot placement, or the pace that they are going, then the dance would be a drastic failure. Much like dancing, an opponent’s unpredictable movements. . . can become predictable. Too many switch ups can become a pattern in itself.

Hiroki entertained his idea of target practice with the use of his clones, and offered to do the real deal after a little warm up. Meika felt no need to complain. Training with another individual had been exactly what she needed.

He added in more details about what to look for. Having her extend her visuality to more than just the arms and hands of the opponent. Her attention would now need to be on the person’s full formation. Thus being the clone for the moment.

The clone took no hesitation as it burst into movement. Switching up it’s directions and  movements with the intention to confuse the Kamigawa. In the moment that the cloned Hiroki switched the direction of his run, the raven - haired lass had her hand within the pouch of her tools while being crouched low. Hiroki already expected her to attempt a strike, but would she know where to hit?

The clone moved into a back hand-spring. The low stance he took just before jumping backwards was not ignored. She used that as the height that her mark should meet at. Meika’s right hand whipped from her side, launching two senbon that was placed apart from each other, within the furthest knuckle of each side of her hand. This launched her senbon in the position of the low crouch that the clone took before his back hand-spring. Each senbon flying low, aiming for the sides of the target. So that after he was to land, if he was to try and sidestep around one of the senbon at the same moment he ducked, he would only move more into the direction of the other.

If her attack was somehow unsuccessful, Meika would be ready to try again. Determine to meet her mark.  {WC: 397 | TWC: 2,894}

Upon the clones initial movements, Hiroki went into his own form of observation; carefully doing the thing which was instructed by himself. While Meika would be closely examining the clone to see what it was doing, the genin would be looking over towards the other one, watching over how it was calculating within her head. The eyes moving to and from, pinpointing where the target would land to a point. It was after the clone had landed from the jump, and it realized the patiently timed attack was launched in the form of senbons whizzing towards itself. The lightning version of Roki would make an attempt at side swiping it, however it's movements were in vein; falling for the maneuver laid out by the fellow Kumogakuren. The confident lad couldn't help but think to himself "My, my, she's awfully clever."

What was said aloud was different, albeit, still a compliment. He stated "Nice shot!", all the while the clone dispersed in a puff of smoke for he didn't opt to utilize the kinetic energy to send out a shockwave. It would've been a cool thing to show off, but he would've hit himself in the process. This in turn would've caused for a major embarrassment, which would be absolutely devastating. Thankfully though, he knew how to use his brain and when the right time to show off was.

"Now, do tell, what element do you possess?" The youngin would pose the question before answering it himself. "For me, I possess two. Obviously my first would be Lightning, hence the clone made from it. Just recently I learned how to use water, and I've found the two go hand in hand splendidly." For it was extremely true. Both elements mixed together seamlessly unlike some other combinations which would be the equivalent to oil and water; strong in their own rights, but together not so much.

Meika beamed with triumph as her maneuver made its mark. Her clever action made it difficult for the lightning clone of Hiroki to avoid the piercing impact of the senbon. With a sudden cloud of smoke, the clone disappeared and Meika was met with a light compliment. Even though the mood was light, the Kamigawa could tell that Hiroki was still a little impressed. Which was all it took to show a grin upon her lips.

Hiroki moved on to a question about what element she was capable of. At the moment the kunoichi haven’t taken the time to widen her capability with other elements. The only one at her fingertips for the time being was the grace of water. Still. . the woman was able to do a lot with just that. She couldn’t even imagine how much the different possibilities could increase with another element accessible.

Hiroki mentioned what two elements he was capable of. One of them being the same as her, water, and the other being lightning.

With a playful pout, Meika answered truthfully. “Suiton is the only one, but I can do quite a bit with it. It even benefits my genjutsu, which would be unexpected to most.” Meika thought a little into it, “I envy your skill in raiton. It seems the perfect match for a Kumogakure ninja. If anything, that would be the next element I would go for. The way it can immobilize an opponent would be handy. Would you mind teaching me some of the basics?" Meika's eyes gleamed with excitement as she continued with a coy plead. "You've been an interesting sensei so farrrr."

Meika had no idea if Hiroki would take her up on that, but if he did the lass would be sure to make it eventful. It suddenly dawned on the Kamigawa how much time they had spent at the training facility. She was surprised at how late it was beginning to get. No doubt her poor cat at home was enraged for how long it’s been since the last meal it had.

She swore that the cat was planning to be the size of a plump potato by the end of this new year. If it even took that long to happen.

If Hiroki gave her response, Meika would make sure to put it as a priority. If not then she’ll probably pop up another time to mess with him some more. With a respectful bow, Meika announced her concerns for her bossy cat that was at home. And that she hoped to run into him again sometime soon. “Until next time Hiroki~,” She said the farewell smoothly and went to gather herself together to leave the Advanced Training Facility. Making a mental note to pick up some trout and some fresh salmon roe on the way home for dinner.  - Exits -

Mild error here, but having 2073 words towards a 2500 tech would require having 427 left, and if you take that remaining count at 25% off, you're left with 321 rounded up, which I guess nets you 4 more words there.

However, I believe there was some miscommunication between us, as after the 321 remaining, 500, and 750 tech, you have 1796 words remaining from the total 3367. The WC that was not used towards stats does not serve as additional WC, as stats and jutsu are trained simultaneously. So the Rashomon jutsu should be at 1796/2063. Again, I apologize for the miscommunication, I moreso meant the 400 leftover WC from max stats can still be used to train techniques, it just would not have the secondary benefit of training stats.

I admit the explanation had me pretty confused, but now I sorta get it. I updated Rashomon, hopefully things are good now. :3

Approved for Meika

With his delicate eyes, slightly worn through from the vigorous exercises and training done today, yet glinting with a spark of happiness and delight. They scanned towards Meika, taking in the young lasses own amused expression which was proudly beaming from her visage. Just a mere glimpse of even something faintly resembling a smile, was enough emotions to convey a thousand different stories to the boy. Only one was truly present though, and it was that she was just as pleased with how this was going as he. The comments in which she made, only provided evidence towards this claim.

Although his spar partner had only been trained to use suiton, it was still all the same to Hiroki in all honesty. The shinobi understood that one's power didn't necessarily come from the amount of elements they possessed or techniques they could utilize; it all came down to how they could react in the face of danger. While the aforementioned things do indeed help, they weren't a necessity.

"Why thank you, for both of those compliments." The Kumo nin responded, his tone matching the soft expression of amusement upon his face. "A Genjutsu specialist? Interesting. Could go well in fights. And I would absolutely love to teach you the basi-."

Alas, before Roki could finish his statement, the mysterious girl had bid him farewell. There was no offense taken by this, he was a busy man too after all. Places to see, people to hang out with, etc, etc. "Well I'd be down to teach you some other time." He would finish saying as he was packing up his things. With everything being gathered, he gave a nod to his fellow Kumogakuren "Until then, so long."
