A Most Devious Plan [I/O]

Missions being completed:

Grey was in a quite excited and happy mood as he walked out of some sort of administration building. In his hands he held a large number of scrolls that contained mission information. There were eight scrolls in his arms to be precise, and he was running towards the other two people he had entered the village with. One of them was his big “brother” Doctor, and the other one was his little “nephew” that he had stuck to calling Daffodil, as the young man had never properly introduced himself. All three of them assumed that each of the other were going to give everyone fake names, and so there was definitely only a loose string tying them together. Grey enjoyed their company though, and he had a bit of a get rich quick scheme going, now that one of their members had gotten permission from the administration office to conduct missions on the grounds of the village. It was great, as there were plenty of things to do in the village, and they didn’t even need to register the individuals that were going on the missions.

It was a pretty nice and loose system of doing missions, and Grey was ecstatic, and immediately met up with the two that were waiting nearby for him to get out of the administration building. He excitedly walked over to them with the mission scrolls as if they were some sort of treasure he had fished out of a river. “Alright guys, here’s the plan. I registered for all of these missions, and we just need to claim them together once we’re done. If we split up, we can tackle most of these missions at the same time, and then split the money. They compensate each of us equally, so it’s going to be like earning three times the money for the work, hehe.” Grey chuckled to the group before setting the scrolls down on a park bench that was nearby, so that they could look through the missions if they wanted to.

The missions were pretty scattered in where they needed to go and what they needed to do, so the other two could take their pick as to what they were interested in. Grey thought about it for a moment before carefully reminding them of something. “Oh, one more thing. We were actually able to register for a higher ranked mission that might be dangerous.” He said, thinking for a bit and rummaging through the scrolls that were laid out on the bench, quickly finding the one he was looking for. “It’s this one!” He stated excitedly, unfurling the scroll so they could all see its contents. “This one is about searching through some ancient ruins for an archaeologist nearby. This one might have some sort of dangers lurking about, so I suggest we all meet back when the others are finished and head there together to have the best chance of completing that one.” He hadn’t really talked about this plan with them beforehand, he just said he had a method of getting quite a bit of starting funds for their village life.

He then ran towards the mission area and registered. The other two would just have to go with his whims, or refuse him and simply go their separate ways for now. He would then turn back to them as he had finished explaining the main part of the plan, and would ask them a question. “So, do either of you have any questions or suggestions?”

Standing outside of the administration building, Daiki had been waiting for his brother to back out with some choice missions for them to do. He didn't want anything too big but hopefully something manageable that would at least give a decent amount of money. Well, everybody starts somewhere and this would be the first time he was the one doing grunt work instead of hiring common thugs and bandits. Well, it was no matter as he no longer had any 'sponsors' to fund his 'research'. After his 'brother' came back with what he had picked out for them to do, he had explained to them a plan they could do for maximizing the profits of each job. They could split up and take a job and then all of the would get paid individually for each job. It would have been a good idea but the problem was, they couldn't do that simply because they wouldn't get paid if they all didn't show up at the same time. 

On top of that, Daiki had no idea where daffodil was currently so he probably wouldn't get paid at all. Regardless, they still had tasks to do so with or with him. "That plan would be good if we all got paid even all of us didn't show up to help. Unfortunately, from what I've gathered, it doesn't work that way and we'll all have to go in and do our part, however small it may be. So let's just do that and make sure we get the money just in case," Daiki had responded.

Grey was in a pretty good mood today, as the weather was pretty nice, especially for this time of year, which allowed him to go ahead and be a bit more jovial than he otherwise would have if the weather was bad, and it was time to do missions. Grey wondered when their third companion would show up, but there was nothing he could really do about that at this point, and he would just hope to himself that he would show up soon. As for his current mission partner, they were just a sweet bundle of joy when it came to the missions, almost immediately complaining that the plan wasn’t a good one because he couldn't sit back and just get rich without actually doing any work. “Hey, just because the plan isn’t perfect doesn’t mean it isn’t good. Eventually maybe we could sit back and just let the ryo flow in, but that would require more finesse and a bit of starting capital anyways.” Grey would say, knowing how to run a business, considering he was technically scamming people for years before this. As he continued, he would set up a lot of the other mission scrolls, making sure that they were in order from easiest to hardest to complete. This would allow his companion or companions to take their pick and they could split up and start completing everything in short order. As he did so, he looked at them and started to grab at one of the easier ones. “Yeah, I’ll take this one, it seems easy enough.”

After he had given his two cents on the matter, it was time to go back to the matter of hand. he figured it wouldn't hurt to give Gray's idea a try as he did come up with it. It would be odd to request payment from somebody that hasn't actually witnessed him work so he figured he could at least show up and make it seem like he was there from start to finish. That was a pretty decent backup plan or at least, so he thought to himself. Now it was time for him to choose a mission for him to do and that would be, this one. Capturing a poor little kitty cat, eh? Sounds easy enough. And who knows, maybe it'll give him a good workout. "Fine, we'll give it a try if you think it'll work. Make sure you tell them there's two of us and get that separate payment ready, I'm gonna go catch and possibly skin a cat. let's meet back here in an hour or so. That way I can choose another mission and we can get the money train rolling," Daiki said with a wide grin growing across his face. He didn't know what he was getting into but he hoped it would at least be fun enough to sate the growing body in his heart. With that, he'd take the mission of capturing the noble's cat which was somewhere in the estate they live. Since the mission had the estate address on it, he didn't have any trouble headign to their abode.

Grey was excitedly talking to his brother who was there, wondering when their good little nephew was going to show up, but he supposed that it wasn’t really bad that he didn’t, that just meant more money for them. He shrugged his shoulders while looking around, seemingly forgetting that the young man was not really their nephew, and that he was just some ragtag person like them. He was probably off enjoying himself or training without them, as they weren’t actually that close. Grey turned his attention back to the matter at hand, and saw that the Doctor was going to finally select one and be on board with the plan. The Doctor quickly looked around and found one that he liked, which was going to rescue a cute little cat that was lost in the village. A good and easy mission, he thought, and it was something that was most likely going to take no longer than an hour, a time that the Doctor suggested and Grey simply nodded at him in affirmation. Grey wanted to pick one of the easy ones to start as well, and so he grabbed the one that was for a photo session. He just needed to go someplace and find the clients, and essentially hold their camera for them while he took pictures. He wasn’t anything like a professional photographer or anything, but he could hold things steady, as his hands were used to doing fine work like that. He felt that this should be done in about an hour or so as well, so he nodded. He then walked over to one of the administrators and asked if they could keep the scrolls here, and they nodded. This meant that if the Doctor wanted to do a mission, neither of them had to wait for the other when they came back.

Heading to his destination, Daiki wondered about his dear 'nephew' and wondered how he was doing. It didn't seem like he was going to show up to do the missions they had planned to do which was fine with him. After all, he was just being used as a source of cover and so he figured it was best to not worry about him at all. If he shows back up, he'd take him along with them so long as he wanted to come. Now back to the matter at hand of going to the client's house to see about catching that cat. After a few moments of walking, it didn't take very long to find the client's house, or estate rather. The place was massive and honestly, it looks like he'd have a little bit of trouble locating the cat at first glance. Still, a job was a job and so he'd ring a bell that was outside of the wall of property. After a few moments of waiting, he heard the voice of an elderly gentleman from behind the wall addressing him, asking who he was and what his business was. Daiki informed the man that he was the assigned shinobi tasked with the job of helping find the missing cat the client had put out. Daiki also asked if the person he was speaking too was the client in question to which the person informed him, he was not. He was actually the butler and the mistress of the house was currently away on business but was told to let whoever showed up about the request in so they can do their job unimpeded.

Heading off towards his destination, it took Grey quite a few minutes to realize that the streets of the hidden sand village were numbered fairly poorly, and the infrastructure probably had to develop around the wells in the center of the village at first, as everything sort of wove around the center in a circle. Circular building planning did not really work out for those that wanted to navigate the streets, so Grey found himself walking faster and faster until he had to jog, thinking that he would be late if he kept wandering around like he was at his current speed. As he finally got the the destination, he noticed he was in front of one of the older domed buildings that were situated to be a house, and it even had somewhat of a yard behind it. As he walked up to the door and knocked on it, a pleasant looking old couple walked out of the building holding hands. They smiled at him before asking if he was the one that was supposed to take their anniversary pictures, and Grey could not help but get a little fuzzy inside. Although he liked to have rampant experimentation with very little regard to human life when doing so, that did not mean he was heartless. He appreciated when people would be able to stick it out long enough to be with someone else, especially those that were this old. Grey nodded, and they provided him with all of the materials needed, including a camera with a tripod for them to take their photos with. The couple were already in a formal suit and dress respectively, so it was easy to start taking the photos.

With that in mind, Daiki would at least be able to work and move around as he saw fit. Waiting for the man to let him in, Daiki nodded towards him with a grin on his face as the man eyed him cautiously. He had every right to be alarmed of Daiki's presence but he paid it no mind as Daiki had no interest in performing petty crimes and the like. He wanted to get clean money for now as he had now in order to fuel his inspirations and bad habits later down the line. Walking through the grounds, Daiki had eventually come across a large estate in where the cat was hiding. The elder servant had followed behind Daiki closely making sure to keep his eye on him until they both entered the house. With that, the mission was on and it was time for him to go and find the cat. He figured it would be best to start his way from the top and start working his way down. The estate was three stories tall and estimated to have about 50 rooms a piece. This would take quite some time but this was his job so he would do it even with a tail on his end. Shifting through each room one by one, Daiki was more interested in trying to lose the servant with his shinobi speed than finding the cat. Eventually he found the cat that was stuck in a rather curious place before handing it to a panting servant and leaving the estate.

Grey watched as the old couple started walking off towards the back of their home, towards a little pond that was out back. The village hidden in sand was originally a desert, but ever since the village was upgraded or something of the sort, the sand village had some sort of chakra technology that allowed the area to be nice and temperate, for lack of a better word. The village always had great weather and the area around wasn’t actually sandy at all, it seemed that all of the sand had been swept out of the village by whatever chakra zone or technology they had that surrounded the village. Grey enjoyed that, as it was never swelteringly hot here like it was back in his home country, and it made for a perfect day to take some lovely photos. The couple stood near the small koi pond, turning around to face the camera, and simply held each other’s arms, interlocking them as they gave a smile. Grey smiled back at them before telling them to hold like that for a bit while he set up the trip[od and the camera on top of it. As he did so, the couple simply continued smiling, and although Grey was still an amateur when it came to photography, he didn’t want to tell them the cliche phrase of smile, so he instead took a break and asked them where they proposed to each other. The man looked at his wife in a loving way, and Grey instantly snapped the picture. The couple was startled a bit, but when Grey showed them the photo, they both smiled and thanked him for his time.

Leaving the large estate, Daiki had made quite a bit of money, even managing to get payment for two even though he was primarily doing the job. Well, it didn't matter as long as the both of them got paid. Taking out his list of jobs he had to do, he figured out what job he wanted to take next. After searching through them, he figured he'd take another easy task. One of them was called Information booth and it had a fairly simple task. All he had to do was stand in front of the palace gates and direct lost people to their appropriate destination. Sounds easy enough even though this was his first time in Hoshigakure, or Haven country for that matter. Well, no matter he was sure he'd receive some sort of training or guidance when he took this job.

 Getting to his next destination, Daiki had informed his client what he was here for and he would relay it to his partner. After all, they were supposed to be doing it as a pair but /this seemed like a simple enough job to do. After receiving instructions and directions for each attraction, Daiki was stationed near the gates in order to begin his job. Standing here, there wasn't really much to do so he just stood there in his default stance of typing his fingertips against one another. Eventually, somebody had indeed gotten lost and needed his help in which he had followed the protocols and procedure in how to guide lost tourists to their destinations and sometimes giving them recommendations for places he's never been to personally.
