in-n-out (P, training, et cetera)

Goro definitely didn’t idolize Murata or anything, but he was super highly intrigued by her ability to like, always know where things were. It was definitely some form of chakra sensory or whatnot, but he had no idea where to actually begin to attempt to study it. Scientifically, he was very curious about its implications- could it ONLY be used to sense chakra?

Could it be used to gain a better understanding of chemical reactions?

The possibilities, in his eyes, were endless. Unfortunately, without a frame of reference, it was a lot harder than simply graphing a function or reaction.

His superiors in the lab didn’t want to spend more time with him than they had to, which he understood! Really! It was just sorta hurtful. He slicked his hair back with water and tied a headband- a normal one, not the ninja kind- and made his way back to the familiar training field he’d previously blown up with liquid nitrogen containers. There had to be some sort of method, or secret, he was missing. But what?

A Mystical Palm flickered in and out of existence at the tip of his fingers. Maybe if he thought about it in terms of medicine?

He wasn’t particularly skilled at that, either, and he wasn’t even sure if it was something he wanted to focus on long term. Goro groaned to himself, kicking a pebble a couple meters away, watching as it landed in a small but barely noticeable plume of dust.

Maybe he should ask for help…

Keita always liked to head to the advanced training facility in Kiri, as there were quite a few books there that were different than the usual fare that he would peruse on a daily basis. Sure, it was all about various jutsu and body training techniques, but having a wide breadth of knowledge would never hinder someone, so he thought that he might as well. As he was walking through the facility holding one of the books, it was one about the proper way to improve posture and meditate so that one would gather spent chakra faster, Keita noticed that there was a person near one of the training fields that was off to the side, seemingly contemplating something. Keita observed him for a bit, recalling who he was in the village. Keita remembered that he was the young ward of the current Mizukage, and it seemed that he was having trouble with something. Keita knew a lot of things, and although he was unfamiliar with what the young man was learning currently, he could undoubtedly help, or at least shed some light on some of the problem that the young man was having, so he decided that he would go over and help the young man.

Keita walked over from the boy's side, not really caring if he saw him or not, he was not trying to scare him or anything, before making his presence known when he was close. "Hello young man, I am Uzumaki Keita. I can sense that you are frustrated with something, perhaps I can help?" Keita would ask the young man if anything was bothering him, and would attempt to help if he could. He would not mind helping him learn the technique that he sought. this was of course on the assumption that the technique was not in some sort of restricted section of the village. After helping the young man and making sure he was on the right track for the training, Keita would bid him farewell before heading back to the books that he enjoyed, reading until he decided it was time to go home.

Goro noted the arrival of the stranger with a jolt, perking up visibly at the potential of a new friend, if not someone he could incoherently ramble at for a few moments. When he offered to teach him something he'd be struggling with, the genin noticeably perked up. "Yeah! Thanks, old man. I'm having trouble with sensing stuff. Is there, like, a secret method? Or am I overthinking it?" In hindsight, Keita was not an old man, but he had white hair(?), so the assumption was already past his lips before he could actually think about what he was saying aloud.

With Keita's help, the skill he had been having such difficulty with seemed a lot easier. Perhaps a new perspective was what he needed? He thanked the stranger readily, not really recognizing his name as more than a dull 'maybe I've heard of him once or twice in passing...?'. He began to send out experimental pings of chakra, noting and attempting to study how it interacted with ambient chakra, the energies of other people, and even mostly inanimate objects. It would make for an interesting field of study later on. Maybe he could pull off a grant for it as well? Food for thought...

Either way, before Keita left, Goro would give him a pack of sour gummy candies, not really having anything else of interest he could offer as a way of sharing thanks. You win some, you lose some. Hopefully, they'd be to the Uzumaki's taste.
