The End of it All (Village Destruction)

Fu waited silently as the Hogokage took turns engaging in conversation with the others around him. Feeling as though there wasn’t much left for Fu to do besides stand in the background, she would wait for the perfect moment for her to interject and declare her departure. “Well, I’ll be going if that’s alright. I’ve got preparing to do for the Nova tournament.” Moments ago, an attempt on the village had been snuffed out, yet Fu treated it as thought it was just another inconvenient surprise in her day. Now, she was more eager than ever to get stronger after witnessing her comrades engage in battle. If she hoped to join Akabayashi and earn the title of Nova, she was going to need to train harder and longer than the rest of the contestants. Although she was born clanless, she had been lucky to receive a few gifts along the way, and through hard work and determination, she could beat natural born talent. Fu waited a few moments for the approval of her departure, and if uninterrupted, she would turn from the group and head back into the village.

Upon hearing the words of his Hogokage, the wolf would offer a light nod. He didn't know a great deal about the various bloodline abilities of the differing clans of shinobi, but this tidbit of information would prove most useful to his cause. Tracking the Escapee down shouldn't be too difficult a task for the keen nose of the wolf. All living beings no matter how well kept had a tendency to give off a detectible smell that was easily identifiable to those with a sensitive enough nose - like those of Lycanthropic descent - and the wolf had not only particularly strong genes but also advanced tracking skills. It was a dangerous combination for anyone he's caught the scent of. 

Fu was the other promoted shinobi, her enthusiasm and joy overflowing. She embraced Lord Hogokage, catching not only the wolf but also Ayato by surprise it would seem. She was quite the character. Despite being here and present on the battlefield and having just defended her homeland with fervor that matched any of them, she seemed completely unphased by any of it. She wasn't calculating and ruthless like Doctor T, nor was she stoic like Ayato or Dusk seemed to be. She was much more like Sebastian had been, allowing her passion to fuel her actions. While the wolf tended to only do so during times of great stress - like combat to the death - she seemed to embody that sort of spirit at all times. It was a strange, yet refreshing and welcomed sight. 

Pleased with not only the promotion but also his kage's faith in his capabilities, Loghain couldn't help but grin. The moments happiness was fleeting as Doctor T landed, accusations being flung at the Kage of deliberately allowing his kin to escape. A look of bewilderment would flash across the face of Sebastian, things starting to piece together in his mind. He was called off specifically to allow the enemy to escape because of his familial ties? Part of the wolf was upset at this fact, yet another part of him understood completely. The bonds of ones family had a tendency to be strong, and cause people to do irrational things to protect them from any harm befalling them. Without missing a step the Kage cleared the air, stating that it was all a part of a greater plan. If there had indeed been more conspirators, knowing where they decided to whole up at would proved beneficial without a doubt. It made sense to the wolf, though it was unclear if it silenced the unease held within the Doctor. 

As the others finished gathering their spoils of war, Loghain would bid his farewell to the group, for he had a mission to complete. His eyes shifted to the direction that the Hyuuga escapee had gone. With a few steps, followed by a quickened pace into a sprint he would be off. In the distance he would leap up into the air, shifting his body into that of a traditional wolf and landing on all fours, running now at full steam. This form was not his combat transformation but a lesser ability to allow him to better utilize his tracking nose while keeping a low profile. He would appear as just a normal wolf, out and about in search of its prey.

"Sure, you know where I live Yamato." The Terumi would say in response to Miyamoto wanting to talk with him, truthfully his attention was in many other places. How Kizmaru had learned of the enhanced Sharingan state when he didn't even know of EMS and if the boy was truly allowed to leave because he would lead them to the masterminds behind the attack. Truthfully it seemed pretty clear Suna and Kiri were working together on this.


"I believe I am, sorry Dusk. I get names confused often. I just called the other guy Miyamoto." Any slip of the tongue could easily be written off with that. Seeing as he just jumbled many peoples names and faces. "That was not an opponent they stopped being opponents the moment they quit fighting and started attacking their allies and blowing themselves up. After that they were simply soon to be carrion and a vulture devours carrion." In a not so subtle way Akabayashi told Dusk that Ayato had ruined his meal. A meal of freshly plucked Byakugan and tender Hyuga meat fresh for his shop. It wasn't like people didn't know about his store which he'd established before the change in laws from the new kage.


"Perhaps." Akabayashi stated when Ayato gave his reasoning. It seemed to be odd that a base of operations was required. The kage of Kiri was here now dead and a ninja of Suna was allowed to leave. With the knowledge of a kage summit being held without Hoshi's attendance this simply had one meaning. "It isn't evident at least two major villages just attacked us? Kiri and Suna specifically, possibly a third or forth village depending on where burnt and beheaded are from. Mayfly would allow them to track Souji to exactly where he was going, but the Nova doubted the possibility of war. "If you wish to retaliate against them I urge haste to not let them build up their defenses. If that one escapes he could prewarn his people and they'd have time to establish defenses against us. Especially now that he knows our abilities. I find one thing very odd in all this." The doctor would say placing a hand to his chin while thinking. "This didn't seem like a full fledged attack, but it also doesn't seem like they were here to scout our capabilities either. You wouldn't send a kage to scope us out. You also wouldn't put a chuunin onto a main attack force team." The doctor would leave it at that no use in dwelling.


As they walked back Dusk who was between himself and Ayato ran up to the kage showed him a picture of a women and looking at the side of Ayato's face as he looked back to respond, with his sharingan read his lips along with Dusk's. The kid dropped a picture of someone Ayato knew which made sense due to their relation. It was unoteworthy and he would deactivate his Sharingan. No use keeping them out any longer other than to eavesdrop in this manner. Which the Terumi didn't mind doing hell Ayato likely watched with his byakugan as the Terumi's eyes transfixed upon his face.


After they entered the village the Terumi got to work on the reporters. He told them explicitly not to say the attackers were killed only descriptions of them were allowed. With the amount of witnesses the Terumi also ordered all mail carrying birds be searched for letters detailing the attack be shredded. If the other villages knew of this attack it would request closure from Hoshi. The Nova ensured compliance of the news with action if his words were not heeded to the T. Their companies would be in ruins after the doctor purchased them only to lay off every employee and liquidate the company. It wasn't a threat of violence just one of business. 


The following day the doctor would read the multiple differnent news sources to find descriptions of the attack on Hoshi including its defenders and attackers Kizmaru, Keita, Souji, and Ibari but no mention of an outcome other than the defenders fled. The people of the village knew however this was a lie and wrote their letters describing the truth. They would never reach their destinations. If Kiri was unaware of this attack learning of their kages death through news would only upset things. With this his survival was ambiguous.
