Water Release: Goro's Advanced Training!

This day begins for Goro Chinoike like any other. He wakes up and dons his clan garbs, and his newly acquired ninja headband, eats a short and hearty breakfast, and gets ready to go out. Although today started similar to any other day, it would be different, as now Goro is a Genin, and is going to start his advanced training. This is one of the first of many steps Goro would take on his quest to become Raikage which will span many years, and the path he will take is unpredictable. Perhaps his goal will change, or maybe he truly will become Raikage? Only time will tell. Anyways, Goro stops by the ninja shop shortly to pick up his ninja starter pack. He jumps up and puts his elbows on the counter, reaching into his bag to pull out his ryo before just dumping the whole bag onto the counter. "One ninja starter pack, please!" He says, swaying and kicking his legs that are dangling from where he lifted himself off the ground on to the counter. He smiles up at the clerk warmly and with anticipation. The clerk smiles back at him and sarcastically says "Did you get this money from your mom?"  Goro's mother really is a touchy subject for him, and he doesn't like to talk about her much. Despite this, he understands that not everyone will know that at first glance, and it's not something he just goes around and tells anyone. Still smiling, he replies "Nope! I earned all the ryo myself from rescuing kittens, and carrying the elderly's groceries!" The clerk starts gathering the items listed under the ninja starter pack. "Is that so? Well, you must be one really strong shinobi! So what kind of ninja are you planning on being anyway?" Goro pumps his fist into the air, shouting "The Raikage!" The clerk can't help but laugh at Goro's misunderstanding of the question, but isn't going to be the one to ruin his day. The Raikage, huh? You must be training pretty hard and frequently if you're trying to become Raikage." The clerk places the items down on the counter, where Goro picks them up and equips all of them and thanking the clerk. "You bet I am! I'll become Raikage one day, with this village, the whole world, and Jashin as my witness!" He says before he begins to skip away joyfully. The clerk can't help but laugh at Goro's optimism. "Hehehe, I bet you will!... Wait, what was that last part?!" Goro already far from the stand skipping away shouts "Bye!" The clerk has a somewhat concerned look on their face before shrugging it off and returning to work. "Kids these days..."

Goro makes his way down to a unspecific waterfall, where he sits down with his legs crossed and takes out a leaf. Goro remembers the way that shinobi are to tell what their chakra element affinity is, using just a litmus paper and their chakra. A lightning nature would cause the paper to wrinkle, while wind would rip it; fire would burn it, water would make it wet, and earth would cause it to crumble. "Alright, time to see just what kind of ninja I am!" He says as he places his and on the paper, and concentrates his chakra into his hand, trying to change it's form. This takes a few attempts, as Goro has never actually tried to change the form of his chakra before. In fact, he only knows the absolute bare minimum jutsu to have been able to make it out of academy. Finally, he gets it, and the paper dampens... There's a slight pink hue to it that Goro doesn't seem to notice in his excitement. "All right! Water style!" He stands up and points at the waterfall in front of him. "So that means that I'm not going to just move the water, but I am the water!" Goro runs under the waterfall and sits there like he's meditating. "Time to train some water style jutsu!"

Goro supposes the very first technique he should learn is Mouth Shot, as it is the fundamental water style technique... Well, besides Fish Spit. But let's be honest, even a baby could learn Fish Spit. And Goro is no baby! Goro looks up at the water falling onto him and opens his mouth to trap water from the waterfall. He then looks straight in front of him and tries to spit the water out in a straight stream. It takes him a few tries before he can make the water spill out in a thin stream by curling his tongue to make a narrow path for the water to travel. Now, he has to get the water to pierce through the waterfall that pours over him, as the Mouth Shot technique has to be able to pierce water without splitting it. Goro keeps shooting the water from his mouth until he slowly starts to make it through more and more of the waterfall until he is able to shoot straight to the other side! Now... The hand signs. Dragon. Dog. Easy enough. Goro puts his hands together. Dragon, dog. He does this a few times until he gets a good feel for it. Dragon. Dog. Dragon, dog. Dragon-dog! Now he's got it! This time after expelling the water from his mouth, it shoots perfectly through the waterfall without damaging the water in front of him. If someone didn't know any better, they wouldn't even be able to tell that Goro is behind the waterfall! Finally, Goro has to do this jutsu without using the water from the waterfall, and instead creating the water within himself. He uses everything he learned; Doing the dragon and dog hand signs, huffing and puffing back, and generating the water in his mouth which he guides by curling his tongue. Finally, he launches his head forward and opens his mouth, shooting a large thin, and narrow stream through his mouth that pierces the waterfall like an arrow being shot from a bow. "Yeah!" Goro shouts after perfecting the jutsu.

Now, the next jutsu. The most sensible option to continue from here would be Wild Water Wave jutsu. Wild Water Wave uses the same foundations as Mouth Shot, though requires a harder to obtain degree of control. It's another one of the foundational water style jutsu, is just all-around a great place to continue from Mouth Shot. Goro goes into this one a little bit too confident from the last jutsu, and goes straight into the handsigns. Dragon. Tiger. Hare. He does this handsigns quickly in anticipation to learn this jutsu. His mouth swells up with water and he gets ready to release it before... "BLAAAAAUGHR!"  As Goro seems to vomit the water onto the ground in front of him! He takes a few moments to brush his tongue off and spit out any remaining water before realizing that he's not a prodigy, and it might take a little bit of work to learn this jutsu. This doesn't discourage him, in fact, it makes him wonder how tough and persistent the Raikage has to be in order to be as strong as he is. Goro stands back up to his feet and poses with determination. "It's going to take a lot more than that to stop me, the future Raikage and the strongest ninja ever!" He puts his hands back together and does the handsigns. "Water style:wild wa- BLAAAAAAUGH!... Okay, water st- AAAAAUGH!!! Wa- UUUUAAAAAGH!... W-water style?... Wild wa- OOOOOUGH!" It seems that Goro's chakra reserves are pretty low right now. After spitting up water for a few minutes, Goro walks over to the edge of the waterfall and sits down with his legs dangling over the edge. He takes out a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the crust cut off. He munches on the sandwich while looking down at the Hidden Cloud Village. He thinks about how good his sandwich is, but he also thinks about how desperately both his village and the world need a hero. He thinks about how the world wasn't always like this, and there was once a time when the lands could all live in peace. If no one steps up, the world will never be the same again, and the nations will continue to fight forever. Goro plans on restoring the Hidden Cloud to its former glory and guiding his nation to a better world. That, or he'll die trying. Goro finishes his sandwich and walks back over to try the jutsu again. After a few tries, he manages to do it! He shoots a wave of water out of his mouth that washes over the ground beside the waterfall, dousing everything in its path. "I did it!"

After another day of training well done, Goro looks back at the mountains he is standing on and admires the view. Though, something about it looks very familiar... It looks almost like the volcanos Goro remembers as a child. But just as he thinks this, the world around him starts fading, as he appears back at those volcanos he remembers too well. He looks around in a panic before seeing a figure all too familiar. A woman standing about six feet tall in front of him in a white garb with a white Bengal tiger next to her. Her skin is as pale as snow, her eyes red and purple much like his clan's symbol, and demonic horns on her head. Maybe this isn't what she really looked like, but this is how Goro saw her. For the first time in recent history, Goro almost looks scared, and unable to move or talk. She looks at him and speaks "Reunion..." She almost seems to play with his head, making him hear voices and see visions of his past. Goro starts to scream in anger, running at her and trying to throw a punch. It's at this point that the world returns to normal, and Goro runs and slips right over the edge of the waterfall, falling all the way down to the bottom, and landing in the pool at the foot of the waterfall. He quickly swims back to the surface and decides that he's probably going crazy from chakra exhaustion, and decides to head home and rest a little.
