Patroling the streets of Konoha [OPEN]

The missions:

As Nokino first day of official patrol duty, she rose and woke up energetic in the early morning, stretching into her bed, the sun barely showing its first rays uppon the forest of the land of Fire. Yawning casually, she soon bore the wide smile of someone hyped to start a new and promissing chapter of their lives. Immediately gathering her gear, and putting on her iconic leaf shinobi outfit, Nokino quickly ate a small breakfast, a bowl of reheated rice with an egg, spring onions and a ham slice, and got out in the fresh air of the morning, the dew still on the grass along the wooden fences of her little house, in the middle of the village. She had a fine choice of house, having inherited it from her parents before their deaths, with a view on the town center, and most importantly, the front neigbhoor being Ichiraku ramen stand! Quickly looking left and right, her posture tall and proud, Nokino slowly lit a cigarette, her mouth holding it with a half smile. 

As today was her first day, she had a few rookie task to perform, and patrol was mostly menial tasks to help and assist the local populace, and should the need arise provide safety and de-escalate situations. Nokino wanted to have one of those situations actually, so she could kick in the mouth a few dumbasses, and show what she was about. First heading towards the patrol center of the neighborhood she was assigned to, Nokino walked the streets with a new look, finaly proud of what she had become. As she took her assignements of the day, she read them out loud out of the scrolls handed to her by the patrol dispatch. ''Alright! First day, the time to make an impression is right now. What do we have here for the day... lets see.. Ah! A meat shipment need to be escorted and handed to the Inuzuka clans pens and quarters. Yeah, make sense, these dogs are always hungry! After that there is a troublemaker scammin' people for their hard earned ryo... oh, not on my watch! And finnaly there is an elder who need help with his shopping... eh, lame, I would have liked action! oh well. Maybe someone else will join me in my patrol today. We'll see.'' analyzed and said with enthusiasm the young woman, primed and ready for her first day.

A young, violette-haired kunoichi trots down the rough, clay path by the training fields on the outskirts of the hamlet. As her form comes into focus, the details of her appearance become clearer: she is dressed in a lavender-colored qipao with violet and white accents, mesh armor leggings, and a headband wrapped around her waist. She is holding with both arms tucked around a narrow wooden pole with two buckets at either end and a third properly placed on top of her head. Her stride is steady but easy as the two buckets softly jostle and swing to and back at her arms, while the third never moves out of place.

Her journey comes to a conclusion when she stops by one of the houses in a hamlet—or whichever equivalent's closest to that of a tiny community during this era in time. Waiting for her on the front porch of the home rocking in their chair is a weather-faced, elderly-looking man with grey hair and a matching, thinning beard clad in worn gray-and-black Jinbei and straw-woven sandals that shuffle along the earth beneath him.

"Heyya, Hosetsu-san!" Himari Hyuuga greets. "I've brought the water you've asked for."

"Thank you, Himari-chan," Hosetsu acknowledges, standing up from the rocking chair he was previously sitting in. "You can set it down over here." He points to the spot next to the railing post.

"Yes, sir," Himari nods, and sets the poles down in the spot where Hosetsu had indicated. After setting the poles down, Himari turns to Hosetsu and asks, "Anything else I can do for you today?"

"Not really," Hosetsu shakes his head. "But you can tell your mother that I appreciate her sending you over to help me like this."

"Will do," Himari smiles. "See you tomorrow then, Hosetsu-san," She waves, taking her leave.

"Take care now, Himari-chan." Old man Hosetsu bids, waving back.

As Himari Hyuuga treads her way back home, she gathers her belongings and decides to embark on the village. Nothing in particular comes to mind as to why she'd go—oftentimes it's either related to improving her medical ninjutsu, training her skills, or completing missions with a couple of her rank-mates. It certainly feels unusual to not get caught up in any of the previous three activities most days throughout the week, only resting in between after one-on-one sessions with her mother to hone her clan techniques. But today, she simply wishes to see what's been going on in Konohagakure as of late. And with it, whatever adventures she finds herself swept up in, she'll ride along with gusto. After finalizing her preparations, she exits her home and makes her way over to the village city.

Along the way, Himari Hyuuga passes, once more, through the hamlet and traverses the rough, clay path by the training fields situated outside the boundaries. Before long, she reaches the entrance to the village city and enters. Upon arriving in the village, Himari takes a stroll around and explores the sights and sounds of the city. But as she does so, she's also keeping an eye out for any noteworthy that she may come across. Whether it be people needing assistance or interesting events transpiring, she hopes to find—or rather do—something exciting. Eventually, she somehow bumps into a stranger while her attention's grasped elsewhere.

"Sorry!" She apologizes, catching her foot from the innocent collision before bowing instinctively out of respect. "Are you alright?"

When she lifts her head to take a look at the person she had bumped into, the first thing she notices is their flak jacket that hugs her torso. A good call that she bowed when she did, Kami knows she'd be the last person caught disrespecting her senior. Beyond that, the feminine person in question has long, well-groomed platinum blonde hair, a fair complexion, and unusual purple eyes. She's quite well-dressed, too, with her countenance bedecked with makeup, eyeliner, lipstick, and her nails coated in an onyx-black color. And not to mention a pretty imposing stature to boot.

Passively accumulating 2 Heavenly Body Stacks (2/10)

As Nokino arrive to the market, she stop a moment to take in the large and allive area filled with stalls, littered with people. Konoha is a bustling village, and folks of all age and sex shop around, a sea of colorfull outfits, loud negotiations, and odors of food and spices being traded. Amongst the stand, a big shop stand out, where Nokino slowly walk into, her hands into her flak vest pockets, cigarette in mouth, her face unphased. As she arrived to the shop front, a big glass door face her, with over it a large sign, with a smiling pigglet, a steak, and a chicken drumstick, all painted and sculpted in wood.

As nokino pushed the doors, a small bell rang, signaling the entrance into the butcher market. Immediately, the cool air of the freezers and smell of freshly cut prime meats filled the nose of Nokino, doing a faint corner smile at the sight of such good potential BBQ feast. Approaching the counter, she attracted the attention of a young employee.

''Heya boi' ! I'm here to escort the meat shipment to the Inuzuka. Have any staff you could spare for an hours or two with a cart ?'' said in an imperative tone the imposing girl, her hands still in her pockets, her voice full of autority. ''Y-Ye-Yes-Yess Ma'am! Young Shutike will go with you!'' replied the shop owner while preparing steaks.

As they got out of the place, Nokino still in the same stance, seemingly not impressed with anything, her eyes slowly blinking, as she was in slowmotion. After almost an hour of walking into the city streets, Nokino leading the teenager with the meat cart following her, she arrived at a crossroad, where out of nowhere, a little girl all dressed in purple popped out of the street corner, turning into the tall stature of the senior kunoichi. As she almost bumbed with the young kid, Nokino backed away swiftly, taken by suprise, getting her hand out of her pockets and puting them in the air a bit in suprise, a reflex of defense she had since forever. In the shock, she opened her mouth, letting the lit cigarette drop onto the floor, little cinders flash and spreading away as the lit side hit the stone tiles of the road.

''Oy! Watch where you goin' kiddo! Psshh... Almost crashed my shipment! whats your name? ..... Uh? Is that so? Hyuuga... So damn noble right? Well noble or not, you're gonna help me with my other tasks of the day to compensate for my dropped cig, 'aight?'' Said Nokino with her arms crossed, like a parent scolding their kid, but still taking fun in the situation, her mouth smiling a bit with raised eyebrows.

Well, this is a first. But before Himari can make an innocuous rebuttal, the woman's countenance silences any conjurations that scuttle around her mind. Instead, she simply nods her head and follows alongside the individual. If her superior need her, then she'll do her part.

"I understand," she replies, promptly. "Um," She turns to face the young boy who holds a palpable shipment of goods in her company. She strides and outstretches her arms toward him. "May I?"

"Oh, uh," Shutike stammers, handing over the cart to Himari Hyuuga. "Here ya' go."

"Thank you," Himari Hyuuga bows, graciously. After the transfer of momentary ownership, Himari flexes her fingers and heaves the cart up at first with the upward momentum of her legs before her arms do the second half. In recent times, her body composition's shifted as a result of her change in training regiment. No longer requiring an overwhelming display of strength to prove her worth as a bona fide kunoichi, but with the recent practice of Iryōjutsu, the muscles in her body that once contained the comedic strength of a super-man became soft. Not so much that if Mother Nature's breeze were to sneeze in her general direction, she would topple over, but her shift in focus to better understand and manipulate her chakra control incentivized her to do better if she wanted to become a full-fledged medical-nin.

Nevertheless, the self-indulgent test proves that her strength, despite how drastically it's diminished since, retains a considerable degree of its former self. With the cart in her possession, she pivots and resumes trailing alongside the woman. Judging from the scent of the goods her nose catches by the gentle breeze's tailwind, they definitely have a... pugnant smell. Perishable most likely, so it must be something raw like meats, poultry, etc. Whatever the contents were, she just has to make sure they arrive at wherever the blonde-haired kunoichi needs them to be in one piece. In the meantime, while they travel en route, Himari purses her lips and shifts her focus to the blondie with a smile.

"I'm, uh, Hyūga Himari, by the way," She starts with a lilt in her voice. "I don't think I've seen you around here in the Leaf before, I tend to be pretty good at recognizing a lot of the faces here in the village, but it's always nice to meet new people! What's your name? Oh! Are you a Chūnin? A Jōnin? The flak jacket looks really cool on you! I'm hoping to become a Chūnin too, soon, when I get a bit more experience with medical ninjutsu. It's kinda hard stuff to learn, but I'm getting there, though!"

As Himari took the cart from the hands of the young man who was helping Nokino, the kunoichi was suprised by the strength of the little hyuuga girl. She was also impressed by her respect of the autority, even if in theory, Nokino was only a Genin, she was still older and had a job as an intern trainer at the academy, as well as novice patrolman for the village of the hidden Leaf. After the suprising turn of event and responsibility taking by the hyuuga young kunoichi, the two woman of Konoha walked trough the streets of the village for a while. After an hour or two, the young shinobi dressed in pastel purple and lavender looked towards Nokino and presented herself, as well as asking questions regarding her. "Nice to meet ya Himari, tho I would have prefered to not drop my cig and have you jumpscare me hehe.. no matter. Im Nokino Iburi, And its normal you dont know me, I was a trainer for jutsu in a private gym inside Konoha for a while before being a official village ninja. So yeaahhhh, i'm euuh, only a Genin, but since I already have experience and all ive been doing more serious things than genin usually do! I too aspire to get to chuunin as soon as possible... anyways! Thanks for the compliment, that flak vest is fashion isnt it? Ahahah!" Said Nokino in a serious but humble way. 

As they went farther down the road and arrived to the Inuzuka pens, they could see someone waiting for them. She was addorned with the Inuzuka distinctive face paint, and both the girls knew they arrived to their destination, succeesfully completing the mission. "Yo. There ya go, Otake here is your meat for the doggies this week! See ya later next week, 'aight? Bye now!" Said Nokino, taking care of the situation like the head and leader of the little improvised team.

"I didn't mean to scare you, I promise!" She protests innocuously. "But, I'll be a little more mindful next time, it's pretty easy to lose yourself here in the village when you take a moment to stop and appreciate the things here... Oh wow, you have your own private gym here in Konoha? And you're only a Genin? That's pretty cool! Do you think you could invite me over sometime to train? I've been wanting to find other ways to keep myself in shape and a gym sounds like a great idea—ah—if, you're OK with me being there and all." She smiles meekly.

Upon arriving at the Inuzuka clan's compound, Himari also sees a feminine individual standing near one of the houses. She ganders a notion that's the person who needs the shipments she's wheeling about. After a short exchange of pleasantries, thanks, and, eventually, farewells, the trio manages to deliver the goods in one piece which—oddly enough—took a lot longer to complete than she anticipated. Nevertheless, a job done is a job done, and Himari is content in knowing such.

For now at least. It appears Nokino isn't quite finished with her just yet, as another three assignments were heaped on top of the shipment delivery. Turns out Himari'll have to go for her leisurely sightseeing at a later time during the day, hopefully during the early evening when the sun lies lazily along the horizon. The next assignment requires them to accost a merchant selling a miraculous potion that bestows eternal life on those who drink. But instead, it's resulted in multiple illnesses breaking out, a few of which resulted in hospitalization. Although the validity of their connection between them remains vague, it's enough to spur the ire of the village folk.

Finding the man's respective stall, Himari confronts the man and inquires about the product he's selling. The merchant in question feigns ignorance, claiming that his product is safe and has never caused any harm to anyone. Himari isn't convinced. She demands the man surrender his goods, and after a brief proverbial scuffle, the merchant reluctantly complies. He says the elixir is nothing more than simple sugar water, and the only reason why the villagers were getting sick was because the water was contaminated. After the confrontation, Himari—with Nokino in tow—reprimands him and his goods to the village authorities to settle any compensation for those gullible enough to drink the deadly concoction.

The third assignment details their patrol around the village. And before Himari could begin their morning watch, she remembers the few hours spent prior mostly consisted of her and Nokino wandering around the village. At first, it seemed aimless until she connects the dots and figures out that the path that they took was structured and had a rhyme and rhythm as to why it took so long to deliver the Inuzuka clan's commodities. It seems she integrated the delivery of the shipment with the patrol assignment to kill two birds with one stone. Pretty smart, if she thinks so herself. However then again, the patience displayed by the Inuzuka woman prior must've been a testament to how long it would've taken her to realize the truth.

The final assignment involves gathering and delivering groceries in lieu of the mission giver from the marketplace to their home. Normally, this is something Himari could solo on her own with no problem until she realized that there was a recent buzz going on in the market district of the village. When they arrive, it dawns on her—perhaps out of pure happenstance—that there are numerous shops having sales of goods and food, and it's drawing in a lot of foot traffic. There's no way they'll be able to navigate through the crowds without bumping into someone, and even worse, losing their balance and dropping the groceries.

However, that doesn't change the approach Himari aims to complete it the same way she did last time. Performing the "Ram" hand seal, four puffs of off-white smoke manifest behind her as replicas of herself appear.

"Oh, today seems pretty busy!" One of the replicas announces.

"And a lot of people are here, too. Is it a flea market?" Another posits.

"Sales day, actually." The original copy asserts. "Nokino Onee-san will tell us what we need to fetch and we'll have the groceries delivered in no time flat!"

"Groceries, again? Easy peasy!"

And the original Himari and her replicas—from whatever groceries are needed according to Nokino's missive—disperse, each gathering several bags of groceries each on their person. This time around, they feel a little heftier than usual than the last time she did this for another villager. Regardless, they each manage to bob and weave their way through the traffic and navigate themselves successfully to regroup and deliver the goods to the citizen in question for their requested items.

Upon completion, Himari disperses the four replicas altogether and turns to face her senior.

"I think that's everything Nokino Onee-san, I had a lot of fun today!" She beams, arms akimbo before her gaze turns toward the setting sun. "Oh! I gotta get going before the sun sets, Mom'll get mad if I'm not back by around this time for dindin." She bows curtly. "It was nice meeting you, Nokino Onee-san. Hope to work with you again soon!" Turning on her heel, she jogs toward the direction she came, exiting the scene, but not without waving toward her new friend all the while.

Listening to the answer of Himari attentively, Nokino felt flatered. ''Well I had my own Gym, until a fire in the neighborhood took it down... Now its only the whole first floor of my house, that i've refurnished as a gym for a few select students, making me live in the second floor like a cramped up teen living at his parent's home! *chuckles* I could train you... suuure! But you bring me a pack of cigs to the gym, 'aight ? The kind you bring will determine what I think of you.'' answered Nokino. ''Lets say in a few days, i'll send you a scroll with the program and hours of it if you're still up to it kiddo!'' said Nokino to add details to her previous statement.

After leaving the Inuzuka compound, Himari and Nokino continued to walk the streets following the paterns that Nokino wanted, respecting her patrol sector and trying to grid the neighborhood for crimes or anything out of place she could find. Even tho it seemed the delivery took a long time, Nokino and Himari werent even half done with the day's tasks. There was still this merchant, if we could call him that, that was seeling fraud and fake remedies to the townfolks. 

As they arrived to the stall in question, the man was continuing to sell the so called ''immortality in a bottle'' potions, and looked nervous when he saw the two girls arrive, shinobi headband on their outfits, and a serious look on their faces. As Himari confronted the man, Nokino watched, as she wanted to see how the little hyuuga girl could fend for herself in these situations. If she was to become her trainee and her the trainer, she would need to see what she could bring her to learn, and what she already could do herself. After listenning tho, Nokino isnt satisfied with the conclusion. ''Alright now i'm stepping in. Not only will you refund the people like my partner here said, but you'll do it right the fuck here, in the public, where your stand is. *Take the sign of the store and with a big marker from her pockets, write on top of it 'REFUND FOR POTION SCAM HERE'* And if ANYONE claim they got sick, you'll give them extra money to pay for the medicine.'' added Nokino to the speach of Himari, with an agressive and authoritarian tone, her eyebrows frowned and her facial expression showing anger and disgust toward the charlatan. Before leaving, Nokino decided to sweep the stall with her arm, effectively dropping all the fake potions to the floor, breaking every single one of them. ''Now clean this, and I better not see a single vial surviving and making it on the street, 'aight?'' said again Nokino with her angry face, pointing the now scared shitless man with her finger before puting her hand again in her flak vest pockets. After the shakedown, Nokino looked at Himari with a smile, and both of them chuckled as they left the scene. 

After patroling some more, they arrived at the market, to complete their final task. They needed to get the groceries for an elderly villager, and a respectable one at that, as he was a retired ninja from the old days. As they arrived, they saw the worst nightmare of late day shoppers: a busy market, flooded with off work people returning home and trying to cramp in supplies and food for their meals and pantry, as well as merchants and retailers fighting for late day discounts and sales. Before Nokino reacted, Himari already summoned 4 clones of herself, ready to split and take actions to gather the order in each and every stall needed. ''Whoah Himari! Now thats what i'm talking about! This will be done in no time! soooo.. humm- We need, Eggs, a crate of rice, 2 jugs of milk, 3 box of vegetables, 2 hams, a pork roast, a crate with jars of spices, 5 peppers, a bag of red onions, 5 loafs of bread, annndd I think thats it? Oh no my bad i forgot the other side! So there is also 2 watermelons, 25 packs of ramen, ahaha funny thing, 2 chocolate cake, and a bag of green apples! You got it? I'll get the cart ready while you go fetch, 'aight? Oh and Himari, here is the ryo for it, and please, take me a almond protein bar too. Thanks!'' Enumerated Nokino to the young girl.

After a few minutes, everything was brought in by the numerous zooming of the Himari's, and the clone vanished in a puff of smoke once the task was done. Before she knew it, Himari needed to go, her parents worrying it was too late. ''It was nice meeting you too kiddo! Say hi to your parents for me, and keep eyes peeled on that mailbox for my scroll, 'aight? Bye now!'' said with a friendly wave the older genin with the corner of her mouth, lighting another cig and holding it with the other corner between her lips. Nokino would then deliver the late order to the retired ninja, and make her way home, acompagnied by the setting sun and the toughts of a day well spent.
