A troubling flashback

As Raijin stayed in his cell, laying on his bed, he would start to think about his village once again he would slip back into a flash back. It was another beautiful day in the land of sand as Raijin was just relaxing, after getting his promotion to jounin, with paint and a few blank canvases. He would start to create something new at least he hoped it was new as he was just swiping away at his first canvas, each stroke was just kind of done. When Rai looked at it he would tilt his head at it, it didn't have anything to it, it felt like he just made something without really putting his heart into it. He would place it off to the side and began to create once again, this time he went into more darker colors in contrast to the other one. This one felt like the other both felt empty but something was lacking from them.

Rai would place both pieces off to the side as he started to look at the work more. It wasn't until he decided to try something, he would close his eyes as he dipped into the paints and began to trail it along the canvas. This time he just let his body create without looking just to try something. Until he finished his eyes stayed closed until he felt like he was done. When he opened his eyes he would see a culmination of both light and dark colors. Somehow he made a person from the colors half of them surrounded in the dark paint and the other in the light as if he was having an internal conflict, one that even he wasn't aware of. He would grumble slightly but he would let it be as this was something he would have to address later. When he came back to the present he would start to think that the painting was that of his current situation and what he may have to do but there's no way he could tell from that long ago.
