As it turns out - setting up the festival was just the beginning for Seikatsu and his partner. It must have been a dirty trick that was played on them to get them to essentially chaperone a festival within the city. There were bound to be many folks out doing god knows what and now, not only did they have to set up some of the events, they were now in charge of a group of folks coming in and pub crawling to all the different stalls that were selling alcohol. The amount of babysitting that was going to have to take place over the next little bit was nauseating to think about at the very least. Either way - what must be done, shall be done.
Seikatsu wasn’t going to hang around with a fake smile on - but he would at the very least ensure their safety and ability to stay together as a group. Since he himself was only fifteen, he wasn’t able to partake in the actual drinking of alcohol - which was probably for the best. The young man and his new counterpart received their souvenir cup and a stamp on their hands - just like the rest of the group which consisted of about eight or so total members. From here, the best course of action was to just visit each stall in a circular motion, which would allow the group to finish where they started, and could potentially help alleviate any trouble they may run into later on.
”My thoughts are this, let’s start from this stall on the right and we can all work our way around Sutageiza in order - that way we can make sure we stay together and not lose anyone as the night goes on. Sound fair?”
Seikatsu didn’t really care if the group agreed with him or not. This was the plan of action and he led the group to stall numero uno. As the night went on, things began to get a little more hectic. Seikatsu’s thoughts flew back in time just a couple of hours to when the group was completely sober and just starting their journey. At the time he couldn’t have imagined the trouble they would have gotten into - as the group by and large, seemed like nice and easy going folks. Since that first stall though, the group has ingested huge amounts of alcohol and almost 50% of the stalls. They’ve fought with each other, they made messes that had to be cleaned up, and they most likely have created a new language. The one thing they haven’t done though is get lost and Seikatsu had been most appreciative of that.
The new genin turned his head and looked at his partner in crime, nodding his head and showing appreciation for dealing with the drunkenness of these blubbering fools. The group was heading into the back-half of their journey, surely a journey that was only going to get rowdier as the night grew older. Seikatsu prepared himself as they walked into the next stall - greeting the folks working. This was mostly new territory for Seikatsu and he found his personality adapting just a bit - likely from the amount of embarrassment that he’s had to endure so far.
”My apologies for any rowdiness that you all have to endure - hopefully it won’t be too much.”
The young man found himself whispering to the workers who would likely have to deal with the mess left behind, at least the portions of it that the two chaperones couldn’t get cleaned up. As the members of the group grabbed their drinks in their souvenir cups, Seikatsu made a count of who all was in… coming up one short and frantically looking around. This was exactly the thing that was not supposed to happen - Seikatsu quickly looked over to see if the other had seen them and really before they answered he darted outside to double check. To the side of the stall he could hear an odd noise, something he had to check out. As he peeked his head around the corner, he noticed one of the group members throwing up in a trash can.
”Well at least it’s in a trash can…”
Seikatsu helped them get themselves cleaned and walked back to the stall and met the other members, making sure he didn’t let them know that this one had just yakked all over. It was probably embarrassing enough already.

Despite his early departure from the last task, Takeshiyama found himself asked to come back, and assist a young genin with the task of chaperoning and corralling a group of soon to be drunks. Takeshiyama had never come from the world of shinobi, but the more he learned the more he was happy with this fact. He knew genin were the lowest in rank, and it seemed that the majority of their jobs ended up just being public work tasks that no one else actually wanted to do. He thought this "mission", and he used the term loosely, fell exactly into that task. Who wanted to watch people drink and not join in....
Arriving, he'd let the boy take the lead. He seemed good at it despite a small amount of nervousness that could be felt from the lad. Under his formidable gaze, the task didn't seem too challenging. While Seikatsu had been talking to a stall owner Takeshiyama had his own conversation with the group. In a very clear and slightly violent way, he described that no one would ruin the kid's night, and in doing so....he would not be forced to ruin theirs. Several gulps later, and a clap and forced smile later when Seikatsu returned Takeshiyama would take the post of last in line and follow behind the group.
For the most part there was very little that occurred. For his own payment, he purchased a large jug of sake at the first stall that he carried with him. Perhaps it wasn't typical to drink on the job, but he wasn't really employed by the village anyway. A thick corded rope wrapped around the lip of the jug from which he was able to carry it, and hoist it for a drink every so often. Possibly having drank more than three of the group, his steps remained steady as he walked. He had not drank in sometime, and normally didn't while he was in true training....but one-night wouldn't hurt.
Soon the task was nearly complete, and they arrived at the final stall. He listened as Seikatsu made his apologies, and finally got the last man to the finish line, despite him looking a touch worse for wear. Finishing off his own drink, he'd give it a toss into the bin, the sick providing cushion and muffling the sound as the jug surely shattered safely inside the trash.
"Good job kid.." He'd say simply, though a little more rosy cheeked than he had been before the start of all this. "Think imma join them, off the clock and all that..." He'd say as a snake popped its head out of his robes. If a snake could roll its eyes, this one did so now. Still, with a heavy pat on the shoulder, he'd leave the lad for the final stall ordering three drinks for himself. Sometimes the jobs weren't so bad he thought. The patron of the bar crawl approached him with payment, but Takeshiyama waved it off towards his working companion stating he did all the work and deserved all the money.
