Jaydens Journal: Letters to the Fire

Jayden looked all through his room after Kurai told him the night before he couldn't find the journal or folder! Jayden has been up all night hoping he had it hidden somewhere instead of Kurai having lost it! As Jayden searched under his desk he heard someone clear their throat behind him. Startled Jayden hits his head on the desk as he turns around and sees Jeordie standing behind him, in his hands was a Journal and a folder. Well, fuck!
“It's not what it looks like Jeor-” Jayden was cut off mid-sentence by his older ‘Jounin Brother'.
“Sit down!” Jeordie said with a serious tone to his voice that made Jayden realize he either sat down and listened or Jeordie would legit beat his ass! Jayden sat down in a nearby chair.
“you have exactly two minutes to explain this, or I will turn this shit in and your ass is going to Pelican Island for plotting to defect!” Jeordie said, looking into Jaydens eyes.
“Okay it's not what it looks like and we weren't really going to do it, it was just a way were expressing our feelings one day because so much shit has gone on and we didn't know who to talk to or who would listen or if anyone actually gave a shit-” Jayden said not even pausing to breathe and Jeordie finally held his hand up making it to where Jayden stopped speaking. Since the group had already talked to Kurai they had given the journal and paperwork to Jeordie.
“Okay okay okay I figured that's where this was going, but I had to get an answer out of you to confirm it…sorry i scared you…but this isnt shit you fuck around and play with JJ ! “ Jeordie used his fire Jutsu to burn up both items he held in his hand. They didn't need them anymore and he wasn't letting this shit get in the wrong hands.
“If there is a problem, come to us, your best friend just recently died and it was another friend and teammate who did the killing. Obviously that is going to be upsetting. But going rogue isn't going to help the issue! Not only are you a Kirigakure ninja you also have a name on you that symbolizes something! The Terumi clan has accomplished many things over the years little bro and like with Hozuki we have had family members who have held pretty high titles. Going missing, would fuck up a lot of the shit they worked hard to build! Don't do it. I'm here even if I am a total asshole, you're my brother, I do care! Taki would listen, so would Kiken and Zeb. We don't wanna lose another person we care about. Stop doing stupid shit, Jayden James! Aight?” Jeordie said as he pulled up another chair and sat in front of Jayden. They had lost Zim and it was hard on all of them, but even harder on the ones who were closest to him like his family and teammates.
“We're ninjas, death is a part of our life! I thought coming to you because Zim had died and telling you I was upset wouldn't have been something I should do! I thought you would have laughed at me.” Jayden confessed. “I figured maybe leaving would be easier because I could just leave it all behind!” Jayden looked away and looked towards the wall and closed his eyes. “I mean isn't sadness considered weakness?” Jayden asked as he looked back at Jeordie.
“Who told you that? Because sadness and emotions are normal and it's ok to express them! As long as you do it right, don't keep that shit bottled up Jay. It will kill you quicker than anything else would! Instead of holding that shit in and planning stupid shit, come talk to someone.” Jeordie emphasized. Jayden listened to his older brother. There was only a few years between them but he seemed to be wiser than Jayden by many years. Of course he was also a couple of ranks higher than Jayden and had done way more missions!
“Okay, from here on I'll come talk to you if something bothers me, I'm not sure how comfortable I would be talking to Kiken, Zeb or Taki, but I will come talk to you.”Jayden said as he stood up and decided maybe he should clean the desk.
“Curiously bro, who had the journal and folder?” Jayden asked Jeordie.
“Kurai had it, he left them out on his desk and Kiken found them when he was giving something to Kurai.” Jeordie answered as he moved the chair and left the room. Jayden was alone now, maybe he should get some sleep, he was off today. He had been up all night looking for something he didn't even have! Sighing he wondered yet again how the others were doing, if they had yet been confronted like he just was? He straightened up his desk and picked up his bedroom and bathroom while he was at it. After a few hours he laid down on his bed. He heard Jeordie talking to Taki and Kiken, apparently Zeb was working! Their conversation was confirmation that in fact Kurai had been talked to already. Knowing Taki, he would probably confront Miz later.
The rain outside had picked up and was turning into a storm, he decided it would be the perfect time to lay down for a few hours, he did have to work tomorrow. He contemplated on the words Jeordie had said, now Jeordie had a point, if he left it would look bad on the Terumi clan, especially Akabayashi, and they were cousins, so that would be a huge issue. Akabayashi would find him and kill him before anyone else could! Better to walk the straight and narrow path he was already walking instead of trying to go a different way. Besides, he's been working pretty hard for a while now on missions and training, and doesn't want to let all that hard work go to waste!
