Re: The End Of Kumogakure, Or The Start Of Something N

He had only just become Raikage, but there was so much that needed to be done. The village had yet to recover from its battle against the forces of Konohagakure and everyone was worried about another attack. He needed to settle the situation; informing the people of Kumogakure no Sato of the fact that Konohagakure no Sato had been destroyed would be a good start. Konohagakure no Sato would not be attacking them anytime soon as they still had to recover, but his fear was of the shinobi would had destroyed Konohagakure. If those powerful shinobi decided to attack Kumogakure in this condition, things would be way worse than last time, and they stand less of a chance than Konohagakure had stood. If anything, he sort of owed those shinobi some credit for taking care of that terrible village and making it pay for some of its crimes. Even if did cost some innocent people their lives, Konohagakure had killed so many that in a cruel sense, they deserved it.
He was sitting down at his desk in his office, almost spacing out as he stared at the mountain of paperwork sitting on his desk. It wasn't just that the work he was being required to do at this point was overwhelming, but it was the fact that he wasn't sure what those missing ninja were planning. All he could do was hope that they only had issues with Konohagakure and would not decide to come here and attack a weakened village. He was the Raikage now, and that meant if they attacked he would almost guaranteed be the first one to die if anyone was going to die. He'd protect the heart and soul of the village with his own heart and soul, no matter what it took he'd make sure that he did not let anything destroy the village. For now, things seemed like they would be calm for at least a little while, until he felt as though he could nearly sense another chakra source within the village.
In a matter of seconds, before he could react to what he thought he had sensed, the window glass behind him shattered into pieces. It appeared as though he truly had felt someone enter the village and they were obviously skilled, having made their way all the way to his office building without being so much as noticed. He quickly jumped from his seat and turned around, nearly deciding to use his Raiton no Yoroi, but he refrained. He needed to carefully decipher the situation before engaging in any violence. He stood and faced the man who had just shattered his windows open and listened to him be told that he should be thanking the man. It was in that moment, he realized who the shinobi that was speaking to his was. The man who had killed the Raikage and Deputy Raikage and one of the shinobi involved in the Konohagakure Destruction. It was Kai Yamanaka, although he had only recently found out more intel on the destruction of Konohagakure, he had watched the event unfold. It surprised him at first to know Kai had gotten involved and helped bring down Konohagakure, but seeing him show up here only confirmed the story.
He took a moment to think about how to respond to the bold statement. Kai had probably been referring to the fact that without him killing the Raikage, Kurisu himself would have never been able to become Raikage so soon. He did consider the fact that Konohagakure had been destroyed as being a good thing, in truth he really could thank Kai for doing that. "What do you expect me to thank you for? I appreciate that you helped Konohagakure pay for its crimes, and that is something I could thank you for. Killing the previous Raikage is a different story. I did not need this title that badly. What is it you are really after?" he questioned, make his point very clear that he was not happy about the previous Raikage dying and Kumogakure being assualted, but he made sure to mention his appreciation for Konohagakure's destruction.
