Inazuma walked away from the Kirigakure administrative building, the looming structure casting a wide shadow ahead of her. The air was cold and a breeze rushed through town, chilling its inhabitants. The young shinobi moved with a quiet purpose, fingers clutching a small scroll which she proceeded to tuck into her cloak with her right hand. As she placed the tightly wound roll of clothe paper into the jacket pocket, she pulled her arms close around her chest. She instantly felt better feeling the heat of her appendages as they pressed tightly against her body. Ina pressed forward, heading further into the city, thinking about the missions she had been given. She’d start with the easiest… Apparently some young kids were vandalizing businesses around the market district, etching their names and profanity into the walls. The task of rounding them up and presenting them to their parents fell on the adolescent ninja, who was bored with the mission as soon as she had read it. She sighed as she pressed on, headed towards a tall support beam that stood around the middle of the bazaar, towering over the stalls, carts, and shops below; a perfect vantage point. Inazuma sped up heading hastily to her target not more than 200 yards away. As she approached her destination she began to focus some of her chakra to the soles of her shoes and when she reached the large piece of wood she easily stepped onto it running horizontal to the ground. She jetted up it for about 30 feet, easily standing over the tallest buildings in the vicinity. When she reached the apex, she perched atop it, continuing to hold the chakra in her feet in case anything should happen. Feet pressed together, centered on the pole, Ina bent her knees and sat on it.
The young shinobi continued to sit on her tower, staring down at the people below with squinted eyes. Several hours had passed and the most action she had seen was a young brat kicking his mother for a toy. She bent forward, leaned backwards, anything she could to try and do to get comfortable. Ina knew how she felt was pointless as a mission was a mission and she was just glad to have work. She sat there for what felt like forever, only to be alerted by shouting below… She could hear the roar of an angry middle-aged shopkeeper. He screamed out towards three figures, cursing and threatening them. Ina hopped down to a rooftop below much closer to the ground hoping to get a better view. The decibel of the shouts became louder as she moved in tighter. Several seconds later she noticed a crowd of people seemingly disturbed by something. They shifted and bumped erratically as if someone or something had hit them. The chuunin pressed closer to the commotion looking for what she knew would be several small kids. She jumped silently, from rooftop to rooftop watching closely until they emerged. From beneath the shadows emerged to small boys, no more than 12 years old. They looked similar in features, “Perhaps brothers?” she though to herself. “Wouldn’t that be lucky…”
Ina pressed of her left leg, launching herself forward and landing gracefully below, several feet in front of her targets. She spun, catching them off guard with the sudden entry. They were the first to speak; “What gives yo?” spouted the one to her left. Before another word could be said, Ina performed the Tiger seal, two clones appearing in front of her. As the solidified they took her shape, hands crossed arrogantly over their chests. As she released her hands she spoke to the boys quietly and deliberately, “Let me be clear… I know what you’ve been doing around town. It stops now, or we have a problem, you get me?” She extended her arm, finger pointed at each one for a moment. The gesture was mimicked by the two clones, giving much more credence to her warning. The mouthy boy from earlier nodded quickly, apparently unwilling to speak, though the one of the left took a little more convincing.
“Get bent…” he muttered turning away from the young chuunin. However, before he could make his first step the clone had already jumped ahead blocking the path with it’s body. Ina quickly came from behind, unsheathing a kunai as she did so… “I grew up around spoiled little shits like you my entire life and I’m not afraid to hurt you.” As she spoke, her kunai pressed softly against the pre-teen’s temple, a simple yet effective threat for a 12 year old. “Ok,” he shouted quickly, throwing his hands up into the air. Inazuma smirked to herself, the clones joining suit as the rounded up the young boys once again. She bent closer to their faces saying, “Alrighty then… Time to get you home.”
