Navi's Mission: Down Boy
Thu Aug 02, 2012 3:39 am
Mission Name: Down boy
Rank: B
Type: Intel
Character Requirements: None
Word Count Requirements: 600
Repeatable? No
Reward: 700 Ryo
Task: Someone has reported that a civilian is going to attempt to suicide by jumping off a cliff near the village, stop him by any means, just be sure that he remains alive.
Navi needed money to pay for the new tools he would be needing. He would like to buy some books, scrolls and equipment, but he currently didn't really have much money to spare. He didn't have any friends he could get to come help him make some quick money at the moment, so he decided the only course of action was to go accept some easy job that paid a lot of money. Who knows, it might even count toward his rank to becoming a Chunin.
It wasn't Navi's style, but he had accepted a B-rank mission that really didn't involve any action. All he had to do was stop someone from committing suicide. He was reported to be near a cliff-side and preparing to jump to his death. When Navi arrived the man on top was screaming about something depressing and kept threatening to jump. It was early in the morning and Navi found it difficult to sympathize with the man after all of his recent training. Navi decided to speed up the negotiations progress and created a crow-clone at the top of the cliff next to the man. The clone grabbed hold of his shoulders and pulled him back from the edge of the cliff. The man was screaming furiously now, his arms outstretched and waving around as he clawed for the edge of the cliff. His clone was having a tug of war battle to pull him away. It took a few moments but eventually the clone got the upper hand and forced the man a few more meters away. Navi took the route around and up the stairs to the top of the cliff while his clone held him down. This was such a drag, how was he going to get this man to not kill himself and complete this mission. He had no intention of talking to him and helping him with his problems. Navi would prefer if he could just drop him off somewhere and accept payment for the mission.
Navi reached the top of the cliff side where his clone was holding the man down, kicking and screaming. He was struggling immensely and slurring his words together which made them hard to understand. The veins on his forehead were popping out and the man was sweating profusely. Even dropping him off would be a chore, this was turning out to be more work then he thought. Navi re-read
his mission details. “Just be sure he remains alive.” it said. “Alright” Navi thought to himself crouching next to the man. “This will only hurt for a second Navi said with a smile”. With a fist raised the man's eyes grew wide, then as it came down, Navi smashed him across the jaw and knocked him completely unconscious. Navi sighed and dispelled the clone. He now had a sweaty and heavy man on top of a cliff. He would probably need to take him to a hospital where he could be watched over and get his broken jaw treated. Who knows, he might even get a few visitors and change his ways. Either way, Navi slung the man over his shoulder and began heading down the cliff side, taking the stairs one by one. Many of the people who were watching the spectacle had left to go about their daily work. Navi didn't really have time to spend on negotiations, he wanted to get back to training as soon as possible. Instead he just took the quick route and made the man as easy to drop off as a heavy sack of potatoes.
Navi reached the bottom of the cliff and started heading towards the hospital. The bystandards watched him curiously as he carried the large man through this streets. Eventually he reached the hospital and ignored the lady at the front desk. He dropped him into a chair in the waiting room and headed out the door, glad to be rid of the pest.

You approved it... and someone got angry and down voted? Or you down voted because you approved? That doesn't even make sense.
