Navi and Sachiko's Missions List
Mon Aug 13, 2012 11:11 pm
Mission Name: Uh oh
Rank: C
Type: Intel
Character Requirements: None
Word Count Requirements: 900
Repeatable? Yes
Reward: 1000 Ryo
Task: The village hasn't been receiving shipments of resources from the farmers not too far from the village. The village shinobi are unable to make any contact with the farmers, your job is to go and find out what the trouble is, and make sure the village receives the shipments soon.
In the bustling village of Konohagakure, a small genin with fiery red hair and sky blue eyes called Sachiko looked toward the azure blue, cloudless sky in eager anticipation. Sachiko took a deep breath of fresh, cool air to calm herself. It wouldn't due for her to faint from eagerness. Today the young girl was given a mission with her cool mentor, Navi. The mission entailed that the village hasn't been receiving shipments of resources from a group of farmers located near Konohagakure and they're job was to investigate the reason as to why the farmers haven't been doing so and fix the problem immediately.
The young girl silently mulled over the mission details for several moments, her thoughts troubled. Why WOULD a group of farmers stop sending resources to the village hidden in the leaves? They were not gaining anything by doing so... in fact, they were doubtlessely losing a large amount of income from the shipments they made by not sending them any. So, the intelligent young girl concluded, they must have a good reason for it. Perhaps they'rer town has been seized by bandits? It was a likely possibility, after all, there was no security of any sort as they were a band of farmers, but sold valuable resources to the village. The bandits may be aiming to weaken the defenses of Konohagakure so they could strike... hypothetically, of course.
So engrossed in her inner musings, the girl promptly began to focus on the sky, waiting for her teamate.

Navi appeared in a puff of smoke next to Sachiko, his spirited and fiery-red haired apprentice. He was packed and ready to go and assumed she was too. "Lets go, this shouldn't take too long," he said to her as they left the village. Navi noticed she was seemingly contemplating what the threat was. "Relax," Navi laughed "I've done a mission just like this a couple months back, turns out it was just a few wolves." Navi smiled before deciding to give Sachiko a little motivation. "I'm sure it won't be a problem for a strong ninja like you."
Navi felt unusually happy today, his normal calm and indifferent demeanor was replaced with a much happier one. Truthfully, Navi was just happy to have some company on all of these dreary low rank missions. There was a bright light at the end of the tunnel though, if Navi performed well enough there was talk of promoting him to Jounin.
They had already reached the farm when Navi stopped at the entrance. "Go ask whats wrong, I'll wait here". As soon as we finish this up we can go back and accept another mission.

Sachiko grinned proudly at her sensei's praise and blatant display of happiness, a slight blush on her cheeks, before boasting enthusiastically, her sky blue eyes determined. "Yeah, you're right! We'll so pass this mission!"
The young girl was a bit surprised at her mentor's uncharacteristic cheerfulness, but accepted it happily with open arms. She was glad that her mentor (who she highly respected) was in a good mood. However, she was a bit curious as to what brought on this change.
When Navi and Sachiko had reached the large but amiable looking farm, Sachiko nodded enthusiastically at her teacher/ teamate's command and released a concerned look as she reached a sad looking farmer with dark grey hair and kind brown eyes. "Hey, mister, what's wrong?"
The farmer looked a bit surprised at the tiny girl's friendliness and let out a small smile. "Well, little girl," the man began in a serious tone before explaining, "Lately there has been a pack of large and wild boars blocking the path to Konohagakure, so we haven't been able to send supplies to them which is beginning to affect our profit."
Sachiko nodded in understanding before flashing a bright grin. "Don't worry," she replied cheerfully, "We'll get rid of those nasty boars for you!"
Before the shocked farmer had a chance to reply, the excited girl bounced up to her teamate and explained the situation to him.

[Sachiko: Total WC for mission 661/900]
Navi interrupted Sachiko before she got to energetic and started explaining things super quickly. "-Yeah, I know, I know, I heard. Nasty boars and stuff, we're on it".
Navi told Sachiko to spread out into the forest and chase away or kill any boars you come across, make sure to pass a solid sweep along the path of the forest, because that's where the boars are attacking the shipments from. They would split up to cover both sides of the path, making absolutely certain to clear the tree line of both sides. Navi explained this tactic to Sachiko, making sure she understood. With that he was off, Navi vanished with a body flicker technique and began searching for any wild boar. After a few minutes of searching, Navi found a few and pulled out a couple shuriken. Before they knew what hit them, Navi threw the shuriken and imbedded them deep within the Boars' skulls. Navi's side was now clear and he retrieved his weapons. He would wait for Sachiko to search her part of the forest for any wild boar and deal with them. When she was done they would head back to the village.

Sachiko eagerly nodded in consent at her sensei's demands and explanation, excited at the prospect of assisting her village. It was an excellent plan with only one flaw: how would the tiny young girl take on big boar(s) without earning any injuries in return?
After several seconds of thinking, the genin came up with an idea. She would lure the boars to a specific area and use an explosive tag to blow them up, use the ninja wire to make a net that would trap the boar and make it easier to kill them with a kunai, and dig a hole and fill it with kunai and wait until the mammal falls in it, skewering them. Sachiko only had one problem. What would she use as bait for the boars?
This problem was solved when the young prankster was pulled from her thoughts by a large wooden wagon filled with fruit passed by her. She grinned deviously, her sky blue eyes twinkling.
The poor boars never knew what hit them.

(Ok, Navi! May I please ask, is this an alright mission? If so, let's begin! ^-^)
Mission Name: Endangered Species
Rank: B
Type: Free endangered animals.
Character Requirements: None.
Word Count Requirements: 1500
Repeatable? Yes
Reward: 2000 ryo
Task:Poachers have managed to kidnap a few endangered species from their habitats, locate and free the endangered animals before any harm can come to them. It would be preferred to use no violence, however if needed, and only if needed you can take the animals by force.
The sky was a gloomy shade of grey, covered in dark cumulonimbus clouds signifying that a storm was coming soon. A young girl with fiery red hair and sky blue eyes named Sachiko shivered at the cold temperature of the day, waiting by a tall tree for her awesome teamate and mentor, Navi, to arrive.
The two had been assigned a mission to stop poachers from kidnapping a few animals of endangered species before any harm could come to them without using too much violence. The mission would be difficult, Sachiko knew, as the poachers weren't just going to lie down, hand over the animals, and beg for mercy. No, they were much more likely to hide themselves and the animals in various places filled to the brim with traps on hopes to kill they're pursuers. They were most likely weak bandits wanting to make money by selling the poor animals as pets or trophies... poor animals.... The young girl wanted to try her best to save the animals before anything bad happened to them, so she continued to wait impatientl for her mentor to arrive.
The genin stared up at the cloudy sky in anticipation, feeling a wave of an undescribable emotion overcome her. They WOULD save those poor animals!

(Looks great!)
Navi walked up to Sachiko who was impatiently waiting for him to arrive. He had his hands in his pockets and the usual bored expression on his face. A B-rank mission without authorized use of force, they were first supposed to try diplomacy. The idea sounded a little boring to him, but a missions needed to be completed. Without saying a word he waved her on and started walking out of the village, motioning for her to follow. He had scanned the mission details briefly and knew exactly where to go. The only thing they would need to be worried about was traps. When they came close to the bandit camp he saw there were indeed wire traps.
Navi knew he could get passed them without an issue, but letting her go first would be valuable experience. "How about you try disarming or getting passed these traps first? I'll follow and help you if you need it."
Navi stepped back and watched Sachiko go to work.

Sachiko nodded in excitement, her sky blue eyes glinting in determination. Navi was counting on her to disable any traps in their path, and she would try her best to make sure he hadn't misplaced his trust.
Carefully, the young girl grabbed a random stick lying among the ground which was quite long, and hesitantly used it to detect any pitfall traps or rope traps in front of her. Finding none within three feet in front of her, she observed the ground for any string wire traps.
This time, she was successful in her search and found two of them strewn across the entranceway. She then decided to send out three illusionary clones to scout ahead for any other traps in the dense forest. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, the small genin focused on the chakra flowing throughout her chakra pathways and created the handsigns for the Illusionary Clone technique. After they appeared and she sent them off to their duties, the young girl then quickly threw shruiken at the string traps, setting off explosions. This action, in turn, revealed more string wires and effectively destroyed them by burning them with the power of both explosions. After several minutes of waiting, the three illusionary clones she had set out all dispelled, Sachiko grinned happily.
"Ok, it seems that there are a variety of different traps including poision darts, acid, pitfall, quicksand, explosion tags, tripwires, catching traps, and other types of traps located throughout the forest. However, fortunately, the majority of them are super easy to spot and are quite simple in design, so they'll be really easy to avoid. However, the sheer NUMBER of the traps is just plain crazy...," Sachiko reported to her teacher and teamate, mumbling the last part in disbelief.

Navi rubbed the back of his head with a worried expression "Sachiko, you realize by setting off those explosions you alerted the bandit camp right?" Navi said this with concern in his voice.
At least she had done the recon well and spotted all the traps, that was something at least. As they navigated through the traps that Sachiko pointed out they arrived at the outer area of the camp. The bandits were indeed alerted and had their weapons ready to attack. Many of them looked tough, but none of them looked to be shinobi. In the center of the camp were several cages filled with exotic animals. "Defeat the enemies first, then we save the animals," he told her.
Navi took out his katana but didn't bother rushing. "Go ahead and see if you can deal with this, I'll cover you if you need it." This time Navi was testing her combat prowess. She might get in trouble and need Navi's support, but since none of them were shinobi he wasn't too worried.
