Mission Name: I saw a..
Rank: B
Type:
Character Requirements: investigation
Word Count Requirements: 800 words
Repeatable? Yes
Reward: 600 ryo
Task: Reports have come in on something or someone lurking in the sewers, investigate to make sure everything is alright.
Ayumi walked into her room and plopped on the bed, opening a scroll, feeling excited. Her face flushed with excitement, a wide smile spread on it. She read what was written on the scroll. She grimaced for a minute after she read it. In the sewer...?...why can't it be somewhere else? she thought. She quickly shook her head and wiped the grimace off her face. She dropped the scroll on her bed. She took out a pair of black, skinny jeans and tight, black T-Shirt out of her closet. She quickly slipped out of her kimono and changed into her jeans and T-Shirt. Then, she sat on her bed and read a scroll. Her eyes lingered at the words as she read it again and again. Then, she put the scroll down and walked towards her dressing table. She tied her hair up in a high ponytail, grabbed her pouches and scroll and ran out of the room. she quickly slipped on her sandals and ran out of the house.
She tied her headband tightly around her head while she walked out of her house. She was on a B-Rank mission again. This was her second B-Rank and also the last mission that she need to do to fulfill her requirements to become a Chuunin. Her mission today was to investigate the sewers. There had been reports saying that someone or something had been lurking in there. All she had to do was investigate to make that everything was alright. Ayumi smiled at the fact that she will become a Chuunin soon. She gave a gleeful chuckle, smiling alone, in the middle of the street looking like a total idiot, but didn't seem to care about it.
Ayumi hummed as she walked down the street. She looked around at the people, at the houses, and shops that she went pass. She smiled at a little boy who run past her, followed by a bunch of other boys. She quickened her pace towards her destination, wanting to finish her mission as soon and as fast as possible. She walked towards the sewer and carefully lifted the lid of it. She peered inside. ..it's totally dark down there...how am I going to see anything in there? she thought, starting to panic a little. She stared at the sewer for a few seconds, then shrugged her shoulders before jumping into the sewer.
The surface of the water broke the silence in the sewer as she landed on her feet. The stench in the sewer was overwhelming. Ayumi grimaced and quickly placed her left hand directly in front of her mouth and nose. She peered around in the dark and heard quick little tiny footsteps and saw a lot of small, fat, and medium sized figures scurrying around. She peered in the dark, squinting hard, trying to figure out what it were. After a few seconds, she was able to make out what the figure were; it were rats, in all sizes, scurrying around. Ayumi bit her tongue to stop herself from screaming out loud. She stood still and waited till all of the rodents went past her. She started walking, feeling around a bit and was somehow able to make out the structure of the sewer, veering herself around in the sewer, making sure that she wasn't walking straight into a wall.
She suddenly saw a few figures, three to be exact, lurking around the corner in the sewer. Her eyes narrowed into slits as her eyes followed the shadow of the three figures. Two of the tree figures, each at one sidi of the figure in the middle, seemed to be crawling on the floor, while the one in the middle seemed to walk like a normal human being would. Ayumi stated to walk again, this time slowly, making sure her steps were silent. She quickened her pace and peered at the figures. She squinted at them, trying to figure out what exactly were crawling, as she could already tell that the figure in the middle was a man. Her squinted eyes flew open after she realized what the two crawling figures were....alligators.
Ayumi relaxed her tensed shoulders and walked casually as if she had been there numerous of times. She still tried to hid that the fact that she was there, stalking the man and his alligators, by walking as quiet as possible. The man must have somehow detected her since he turned around and looked at Ayumi.
She stared at the man. At his scarred, dirty, and tired face. Ayumi gave an inward shudder at the look of the shabby and dirty man. Her eyes lingered over to each one of his alligators. They looked exactly the same; the skin color, the eyes, the ugliness. She bit her tongue to stop herself from yelling at the top of her voice. The man and his alligators started to walk towards Ayumi. She tried to keep herself under control, tried not to freak out, although the man was giving her a smile which creeped her out.
Ayumi backed away as the man and his alligators neared her. She stared at the man, trying to get away from him and his ugly alligators. Her breathing was shallow. Ayumi could hear her heart pounding loudly and wildly in her ears. She shivered, her voice trembling as she stuttered to the man, "G-go a-away! U-u-unless y-you want me to hurt you!" The man smiled as of he didn't heard any of what she just said.
Ayumi! Come on! Kill this guy and his alligators! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him! she thought. Ayumi squeezed her eyes shut, wishing for all of this to disappear; that the man and his alligators weren't there and that she was still in her room, in her safe room, at her house, where her parents and brother are there, ready to protect her with their lives.
She snapped her eyes open and stopped backing away from the man and his alligators. With a shaky hand, she pulled out a kunai and two shurikens. She quickly channeled chakra to her feet and ran towards the wall, walking on it. While she was running, she threw her kunai towards the man. The kunai made a wound at on the man's leg. It flew off and got stuck in the wall. He fell down and moaned. She did a few handsigns and used a fire jutsu against the alligators. Ayumi pushed herself off the wall, quickly pulled her kunai out of the wall and ran away, wanting to go back home as fast as possible and hid under her blanket, wishing all of it had never happened.

Task: The village hasn't been receiving shipments of resources from the farmers not too far from the village. The village shinobi are unable to make any contact with the farmers, your job is to go and find out what the trouble is, and make sure the village receives the shipments soon.
Ayumi ran into her room and carelessly threw the scroll in her hand at her bed. She walked over to her dressing table and took all of her weapons, but leaving her Ninjato behind. She secured her pouches and sat on her bed. She read the scroll again, scanning the contents, and then put it in her pouch. She stood up and tied her headband tightly around her head. She smoothed out the wrinkles on her kimono and waked out of her room. She then ran down the stairs, slipped into her sandals, and walked out of the door.
She took a deep breath of the fresh air. She rummaged around in her pouch, making sure she had all of her weapons. After she was sure she had everything, she hurried towards the village gates. Ayumi walked out of Konoha for probably the third time. She has only been on two missions out of Konoha; one was with her ex-teammates, Navi and Asukari, and another one was just an escort to Sunagakure.
Ayumi looked at the scenery as she walked down the street. She looked around, looking for a farm. Ayumi quickened her pace as her black eyes spotted it. She knocked on the door, waiting for either an answer or for someone to open the door. A few minutes later, a friendly looking old man opened the door. "Good Morning. Hi, I'm Ayumi, a Kunoichi from Konoha.” She said and gestured towards her headband. “So...umm...we haven't been receiving shipments of resources from your farm recently. The shinobi of the village were unable to make any contact with you and well...I'm supposed to come here and check if everything is okay." she said to the man with her soft voice. The man looked at her. "Well, you see…there has been some animals, I don't know what they are, stealing the supplies away...and well since you're here, would you like take care of the animals for me?" he asked her.
"...Um yeah sure.", Ayumi said and bit her bottom lip lightly. She is an animal lover and couldn't really hurt an animal or person in any way. Easy to say, she can't even hurt a fly. "Come with me." the man said to her. Ayumi squeezed her eyes shut, took a quick deep breath and followed the man. They walked towards the back of the house. The man showed her his backyard, “This is it.” He said, pointing at it. Ayumi stared at it. Woah… she thought as she scanned the backyard. It was messy, with bits of food lying around everywhere. She crouched down and looked at the ground, examining it. It was full of paw and hoof prints. It looked as if the ground was trampled by a herd of animals. Ayumi stared at it. Hmmm…hoof and paw prints…? she thought.
She stood up and turned around, facing the man. “Mkay I will take care of it.” She said to the man and started walking away from him and towards the mess of food, bits of it were scattered all around on the ground. She looked around at the mess, when suddenly she heard a gentle, almost quiet, trample heading towards her. She listened to it carefully, trying to estimate how many animals were trampling toward her. Ayumi closed her eyes and concentrated on the sound. One…two…three…four…! four animals heading towards this place…well towards me…let’s make this quick then. she thought. She opened her eyes as she saw four creatures heading towards her. Ayumi looked closely at the creatures. What…are those creatures?...they look like a mixture of a boar and a bear and a wolf and…something that I don’t know. she thought, still looking at the animals, trying to figure out what they were.
She took a deep breath and made a few handsigns. Then, she concentrated her chakra in her chest, molding it together and quickly channeled it through her lungs and then finally towards her throat. Then, she forced it out of her mouth, directing her jutsu towards the creatures. The creatures then made a weird, in pain, and suffocating sound. Then, they fall to the ground. Ayumi squinted at the smoke and saw that the creatures were singed. A sigh escaped out her lips. It was gentle and quiet. She was just about to turn around when she heard the same, light trample, trampling towards her. Ayumi stopped in her tracks and turned around, slowly. Another sigh escaped from her lips. Please…not again. she thought with a quiet grunt. This time, a huge herd was heading towards her. Some of the creatures looked as if they were going to eat her and some looked ferocious. As the creatures got near and nearer to her, she jumped out of the way. Ayumi ran towards a tree nearby and jumped towards it. She grabbed the branch and swung back and forth on it. Then, she leaped up on a tree branch. She took out a kunai, channeled it with chakra, and threw it towards two of the creatures, which was heading towards the man. It made a deep cut at both of their hind legs and they stumbled to the ground. The kunai flew off and got stuck in the ground. Ayumi finished the rest of the creatures off by using the exact same fire jutsu the she used at the first wave of the creatures.
Ayumi turned around and walked towards the man. ‘Those were the creatures that were stealing your resources…” she said and paused for a second before saying, “umm…I better go now…have a nice day.” She smiled, bowed and walked away, not even waiting for the man’s answer.
