The Falling Sun (Lelouch/Sayomi, Sayomi INV ONLY)
Sun Oct 14, 2012 5:04 pm
The fading sun cast long shadows over the horizon as it was beginning to set. Night would be falling soon, and a slight wind was blowing through the trees of the nearby forest. Sayomi sat in a tree, gazing at the sunset with a bored expression on his face and contemplating ideology. It was easier for him to think clearly under a moon, so Sayomi sat with his back up against the trunk as he waited for darkness to set and the moon to rise.
Without even the use of his Byakugan Sayomi sensed someone nearby, but was unable to pinpoint the precise location. His eyes darted from side to side as he wondered where the intruder would be coming from.

The sunset had been beautiful tonight. This was one of the only things Kaito still enjoyed about the world, the beauty and harmony of the sunset, and the sunrises brought happiness to Kaito. Something he hadn’t felt in a long time. Today had been an interesting one, Kaito hadn’t killed anything today, and hadn’t really learned anything new. All he really did was sit back and watch the world for the whole day……… Kaito sighed as he thought about what he did today, which was nothing. He needed to find something to do……… quick. When suddenly he heard a rustle behind him. Kaito pulled out a kunai, inspecting the area behind him. Seeing just a simple fox. It would have to do. Kaito then ran after the fox, keeping track of its noises that it makes when running. Kaito then finally grabs the fox and lays it down, cutting the head off as he watches the blood spill out, giggling and smiling as this happens. He then stood up and watched as the sun went down lower and lower, the sky turning a blue-ish purple. He walked further through the woods, having no idea where he was going he spotted a boy up ahead. Observing him, he pulled out the blood stained kunai he had used before and walked out, ready if the boy tried to attack. He walked so he was about 5 feet away from the boy as he finally spoke
“Hi there……. I’m Kaito. What’s your name?”

“Hi there……. I’m Kaito. What’s your name?”
Sayomi looked over to see a strange looking man holding a bloody knife. He swung his legs over the side of the branch he was sitting on and jumped from the tree, landing about 5 feet from him. This man was strange, even by Sayomi's standards. He had no headband on, and his clothes looked bloody, dirty and torn. Even his demeanor and giggly demeanor was enough to make the average man shudder. He was clearly mad, and any sane person would run away upon seeing him with a bloody knife.
Sayomi smiled, he liked this man.
"Sayomi, it's nice to meet you."
He hadn't seen anyone this far out on the country borders for quite some time, making this a rather rare occasion. The man in front of him seemed polite, but was clearly unstable, and despite Sayomi's relaxed appearance he was ready to jump into action at a moments notice.
He eyed the knife Kaito was holding and noted the traces of animal guts. For a few moments Sayomi wondered if the man would attack him or not.
"If you're going to use that knife you'd better not miss," he said half-jokingly/half-provokingly.

Kaito looked as Sayomi dropped down, inspecting him and checking his stance. Seeing if Sayomi was going to launch an attack or not. Seeing him just standing there, he smiled. This man reminded him of someone Kaito had gone into the academy with, and someone he had killed. Good times, good times. He noticed that Sayomi was also inspecting him. The tension was thick in the air as Kaito gripped the kunai, almost ready to throw it at Sayomi as he heard ‘If you’re going to use that knife you’d better not miss’. This made Kaito’s eye twitch slightly and a smile to appear on his face. Did this brat doubt Kaito’s abilities with a kunai? No matter, he would deal with that later. He had to keep his polite and respectful demeanor if he wanted to make it through the night, this shinobi wasn’t one to mess with. Kaito could feel it.
“It’s nice to meet you Sayomi. And don’t worry, if I was going to throw this kunai I already would have. And even if I did miss, nothing bad would really happen.”
After saying this Kaito points to the mark on his forehead, though he knew Sayomi might not know what the mark means it would at least show he wasn’t lying. Kaito then wipes off the kunai and puts it back into his pouch, staring at Sayomi as he thinks of ways to start a conversation. Things could start getting a little awkward if none of them spoke……. Kaito thought for a few moments before coming up with the most idiotic question ever.
“So…. What brings you out here?”

“It’s nice to meet you Sayomi. And don’t worry, if I was going to throw this kunai I already would have. And even if I did miss, nothing bad would really happen.”
"Well if you missed, I would have killed you... and I would have made sure you missed, " Sayomi thought to himself.
Sayomi watched as Kaito pocketed the knife, and pretended to relax a little bit. In all actuality he was still entirely on his guard and ready to counter even the slightest aggressive movement. A long awkward silence set in as they both awkwardly stared at eachother. Kaito had pointed to a symbol on his forehead, but he didn't know what it meant. As the silence passed he almost wished that Kaito did try to attack him so he would stop having to stand there like an idiot.
“So…. What brings you out here?”
Sayomi stared a bit longer without saying anything at Kaito, wondering what the point of asking such a stupid question was. It was obvious that the man was just trying to break the awkward silence, but was that seriously the best he could come up with? Sayomi's expression didn't reflect what he thought though, instead he just spoke with a bored indifference in his voice.
"I live here."
This relationship was getting nowhere fast. Sayomi had plans to contemplate about the rebirth of the world while under the moonlight, and being next to Kaito was interfering with them. Still, he wasn't a village ninja, and it wouldn't be fair if Sayomi didn't give him some credit for that. Sayomi instead decided to ask his own profound question to determine what kind of man he was dealing with.
"What purpose do you have for living?"

Kaito smiled, Sayomi seemed to be getting angry. Just as Kaito had expected. So he lives here? Not surprising, most Missing ninja live in the woods. But something seemed off about Sayomi, he didn't seem to be an ordinary missing ninja. But on the other hand, Kaito wasn't really an ordinary missing ninja either. He was sort of an immortal, seeing as his creation rebirth could heal any wound. The smile seemed to go from 'Happy and innocent' to 'I want to eat your skin' in a matter of seconds when he heard Sayomi's final question. He started laughing psychoticly, remembering his goal and why he was still alive.
"My purpose for living? Oh, just making the world burn. Burn in an eternal hellfire where nothing lives."
The laughing started slowly stopping, his smile fading as he looked into Sayomi's white, moon like eyes. Kaito knew not to mess with this man, he was a member of the Hyuuga clan. A widely feared and respected clan. Those eyes could prove useful though...... Possibly he could make Sayomi an ally in his little quest. Kaito walked forward a few steps, getting ready to activate Creation Rebirth if Sayomi tried something.
"You seem pretty useful...... Tell me, would you ever be interested in a partner? Do things in a tag team style?"

"My purpose for living? Oh, just making the world burn. Burn in an eternal hellfire where nothing lives."
The answer didn't surprise Sayomi in the least, and nothing in his expression would show either interest or shock. An eternal hellfire where nothing lives...
Sayomi had a much different goal in mind, but he did need followers who were willing to perform less then honorably tasks. If Kaito wanted to watch the world suffer, then Sayomi could manipulate that ambition for his own interests. If Kaito wanted to see things burn in an eternal hellfire, then Sayomi would grant him that wish.
"You seem pretty useful...... Tell me, would you ever be interested in a partner? Do things in a tag team style?"
Kaito approached him slowly and cautiously, still wary of the threat Sayomi represented. Sayomi would also be cautious, ready for Kaito to strike if he were to snap unexpectedly. Still, he would show no aggression, and respond with a cold and indifferent voice.
"I've been looking for ninja with mindsets such as yours to join a certain organization I'm putting together."
Sayomi was brilliant, and had already recognized through micro expressions, speech patterns, and voice inflections exactly how he needed to act and speak to get what he wanted. Kaito would have a volatile personality, but be a powerful asset and could prove undoubtedly useful. Sayomi spoke clearly, his demeanor reflecting his dark and manipulative personality.
"If you join me we will share in immeasurable power, which we will use for a single purpose."
Sayomi paused as he prepared to tell Kaito exactly what he wanted to hear.
"Everyone will suffer, and this world will burn. This organization will push the world into an eternal hellfire that will plunge everything into darkness."
The lines were delivered perfectly, foreboding the doom that they would bring with his leadership, along with Sayomi's ambition and plans for the world. There was more to his plan, but through his own radical views Sayomi thought he was a savior. To save the world, the wound would first need to be cleansed and treated. To heal the wound, they would need to burn off the infection.
Sayomi said nothing else, and simply watched for Kaito's reaction with his cold, expressionless face.

Kaito was staring off into space for a long time, making Sayomi think the man must have temporarily lost his mind. The words had been spoken though, and a small level of friendship had almost surely been forged between them. Sayomi would take his leave now, as their initial meeting together had been completed.

Kaito would hear Sayomi begining to leave, snapping out of his temporary black out and also leaving, making sure to remember Sayomi's face for later. He was sure he would need it....
