Training Time! (Masato, Minorin, Private and NK)

Minorin seemed to be relieved by his words, that was good, “Alright, let’s begin!”

Denkiteki began showing her the hand seals, she should have learned them while in the academy, as the technique didn’t have any special hand seals, so he didn’t think she would have a to hard of a time learning them. There weren’t many either, so he didn’t think it would take long for her to memorize the combination of hand seals either.

The hard part of course, would be her learning how to use her Earth Chakra to use the technique, but he would get to that after she finished learning the hand sign combination. He would show her the combination of hand signs as many times as she needed him to show her, and would wait until she had mastered the combination before going further in his instruction.

Minorin was so excited! Denkiteki was now showing her the hand seals required for this new jutsu. It was no problem memorizing them, she was good at that. She even performed the hand seals a couple of times for better memorization of them. And then did it a third time just to make sure.

Now was the harder part, actually getting to doing the jutsu. She looked up at Denkiteki and waited for the next part of his instructing to begin.

Denkiteki watched as Minorin quickly memorized the jutsu combination, just as he had expected. It wasn’t that hard to remember, so her learning it quickly still didn’t mean much. What mattered was if she could manipulate her chakra the right way, doing hand seals meant nothing.

She seems like a quick learner though. I mean she graduated at 9. There’s no way someone that was a slow learner or who lacked any talent could graduate that young. He thought, though he still wondered how long it would take for her to be able to use the technique. A few hours, a day maybe? He wasn’t sure.

“Alright, next we’re going to have you manipulate your chakra while doing the hand seals. As you probably know, each hand seal helps you to manipulate your chakra a different way. So just manipulate your chakra while using the hand seals this time, and make sure you mold your chakra into Earth Release. Otherwise the jutsu won’t work.” He looked at Minorin as he talked, wondering if she had learned how to use Earth Release to the extent needed to use the jutsu. Guessing that he would find out, Denkiteki stepped away from Minorin so that she could have some room while she practiced.

“Make sure you don’t use to much chakra, this technique doesn’t consume that much, but if you aren’t careful you might overdue it and use to much. The first couple times you use the technique, you probably won’t go under the ground. Like I said, I only went down to my knees on my first try. When you do manage to get underground, don’t panic, you’ll be fine as long as you keep focusing your chakra. If you do panic though, don’t’ worry, I’ll use the jutsu and come down to save you.” Denkiteki said, wondering if he would have to save her. She seemed like she had talent, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t be scared the second she went underground. It had freaked him out a little, the first time. He had climbed right back out of his hole and waited a little bit before trying again.

Minorin listened to everything Denkiteki had to say, now that things were on a roll he might as well be her favorite person. She was clinging to every word that fell out of his mouth as if they were made of gold.

She was about to attempt the jutsu when Denkiteki began speaking again. Minorin had gotten ahead of herself. She listened attentively again, not wanting to miss anything about this in particular. And then he ruined it by saying he would save her. She frowned. He was nice and all but she didn't want to think of him having to SAVE her. Oh well, moving on to the jutsu..

She performed the hand seals required for the jutsu and released a small amount of chakra, manipulating it around her body and into the soft soil beneath her feet; attempting to turn it into a fine sand. Minorin became excited when she realized she was actually performing the jutsu and exerted more chakra. Then the process was going a little more fast than she'd have liked and that startled her. She stopped the jutsu and found herself ankle-deep in the ground. She looked down at where her feet should be and then looked up at Denkiteki. Minorin groaned. Now she seemed even shorter.

Just a little more and I won't even EXIST..

She sighed and tried to pull her feet out of the ground, then finding that to be unsatisfactory she began scooting her feet backwards and forwards and then to the sides, alternating so if she did become loose she wouldn't fall.. Not that it would hurt at her height. The earth loosened around them but she wasn't out quite yet, this had become quite the struggle. She looked up at Denkiteki again, this time with pleading eyes. He had better be able to get her feet out.

Denkiteki watched as the ground below Minorin began to break apart, smiling as he watched her begin performing the technique on her first try. So she is talented, good. She’ll make a good partner. Then things turned for the worst, he watched as the ground began to turn into fine sand at a much quicker rate and Minorin freaked out. The ground returned to its normal state, and she was left ankle deep in the ground.

Denkiteki chuckled as he watched the poor little girl struggle to get her legs out of the ground, but to no avail. She looked at him with pleasing eyes, seeming to want him to help her get out. Moving back towards her, he tried not to look as amused by her situation for her sake.

He got on one knee and wrapped his arms around her waist, and then attempted to pull her out. He wasn’t as gentle as he probably could have been, but he wasn’t used to pulling little girls out of the ground after they accidentally partially buried themselves.

“You didn’t do to bad, you definitely made some progress. You just got a little bit ahead of yourself. Now try again, but be a bit more careful this time.” He said, smiling at her. He wondered how well she would do the second time. She had managed to grasp the concept of turning the ground into sand quite quickly, just like he had when he had learned the technique.

It hurt when Denkiteki wrapped his arms around her and pulled her out of the ground, he was squeezing too hard. She thought her ribs were going to break! He put her on the ground and let go. Minorin gasped for air greedily. That boy was crazy. You do NOT grab a child that way. She made sure to glare at him once she got her breath back.

She positioned herself a foot or so away from him and began attempting the jutsu again, performing the required hand seals, releasing a small amount of chakra through her body and then manipulating it into the ground. The soil beneath her feet began to turn into a fine sand. This time Minorin made sure to keep the process slow so that there wouldn't be anymore unpleasant surprises. The soil gradually turned to sand beneath her and she found herself underground. At this time Minorin began sending her chakra out in a way she thought would prove to be "sonar-like" as Denkiteki had told her to do.

She couldn't really tell much from her "chakra sonar", other than what she already knew. That she was underground. She walked around for a bit, testing herself. It was pretty easy to keep control of the jutsu after all. She stopped walking and thought maybe she should release the jutsu, hoping it would return her to the world above her. But she didn't know where she was at this point. What if she popped up under some random shinobi? Or worse, Denkiteki? She shivered at the thought.

Minorin hoped for the best, closed her eyes, and released the jutsu. It felt as if she were floating through the ground. Or pushing her way up, like some sort of strange plant.. Very fitting. She felt a soft wind on her cheeks and saw the back of her eyelids turn red from the half obscured sun shining onto them. She opened her eyes. She was now halfway out and still rising, but didn't see Denkiteki anywhere. She scanned the training grounds, a little concerned now. This is Kirigakure, right? What kind of trick did he pull.. She was now completely out when it hit her. She could have hit herself once she realized the obvious.

He was right behind her. Her back to his.. Kind of.

Denkiteki watched as Minorin began to sink into the ground, this time not trying to speed up the process as she had before. Good, it is better to start out slowly at first. He thought, though he didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to break her concentration. He knew she hadn’t enjoyed him pulling her out the first time; she definitely wouldn’t like having him pull her out a second.

It wasn’t long before Minorin was completely underground, and Denkiteki couldn’t see her. He wondered if he should use the technique as well to go find her, but decided against it. He didn’t want to waste his chakra just to make sure she was okay, when she most likely was, he would wait a minute or two before looking.

It turned out that wasn’t necessary, he soon heard a noise behind him, and turned to see Minorin pop out of the ground. It was an amusing spectacle, but he didn’t laugh this time. He only smirked as the little girl looked around the training ground, seemingly confused.

“Look like you have half of the jutsu mastered, just need to work on the traveling underground part!” He said with a chuckle, that part was really tricky.

“How about this. We’ll play a game. It’s like tag, except we’re underground. This will help you master the sensing part of the technique. Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you. When you’re it, you have to use your sensing ability to find me, when I am it you have to use it so that you can avoid me. Will that work for you?” He smirked, it seemed like a decent enough idea.

The best part was he would be able to practice his jutsu too, which would be nice. Not letting her respond, he pointed at her and said, “You’re it!”

Denkiteki did the hand seals and soon disappeared underground. He would go a couple meters directly below ground and wait for Minorin to come after him.

Denkiteki used his chakra to follow Minorin’s movements as she made her way underground, smirking to himself. It would take her awhile to find him. It didn’t seem she had developed her chakra sensing ability yet, as she didn't seem to know where he was. That’s not bad though, it took me a few hours to figure out how to use the jutsu. he thought to himself.

Denkiteki decided this would be good training for him too. He had yet to try and follow the movements of someone underground. He found that it was easy to find her, because she was moving and because she was trying to send out her chakra, but that chakra also distorted his perception of her. He couldn’t tell exactly what direction she was facing, and she seemed almost like a blob. Interesting. he thought to himself, Yeah this will be good training for me too.

For the next couple of minutes, Denkiteki tried to train his sensing ability, so that he could know exactly what Minorin was doing while she was underground. He progressed quickly, finding that he could get a bit of information from Minorin’s own chakra, allowing him a perfect ‘image’ for him to sense of her. Of course, that meant if she could tap into his chakra, she would be able to find him easily too. This is very interesting. he thought with a smirk.

After a few minutes it seemed that Minorin had been able to sense him. He remained in place as she moved, deciding to reward her. She reached her hand out towards him, and moved his arms towards her, and her hand made contact with it. He then moved back a few meters and began to circle her, to see if she would be able to sense him before he tried to tag her. She had been able to sense him while he remained still, would she be able to track him while he moved?

Minorin was a little startled when she felt a pair of outstretched hands make contact with her own. So she had tagged Denkiteki. This was pretty exciting for her seeing as she half expected to find nothing. Minorin knew, however, that Denkiteki hadn't even attempted to move away from her which made her discovery a little less satisfying, but only a little less. For her it was a huge accomplishment to be able to find him. That has to be a good sign!

Then Minorin felt the boy withdraw his hands and not long afterwards she became slightly dizzy. She was now sensing Denkiteki's chakra. She could tell he was moving, but it was very hard to follow such movements. She couldn't quite seem to figure out where he was anymore; to her right perhaps? Maybe the left? Behind her? It was all very confusing. She stayed put for a moment while she was attempting to collect herself and move on with the game.

It felt like a part of the world around her was drifting along in a circular fashion, right around Minorin. She wondered if this meant Denkiteki was circling her, but didn't think it likely. It was a game of tag, if you're just going to circle the person it wouldn't be any fun. Minorin's brow furrowed, Denkiteki was probably mocking her. He could be right behind her for all she knew.

She wobbled forward somewhat clumsily, hoping to escape Denkiteki if he was indeed behind her.
