Task: The village has become rather dirty, with
most shinobi already on a mission the kage had requested that you help clean
some places in the village up.
Today Minorin didn't have anything to do until a request from her kage came to her. She had been asked to clean some dirty parts of the village. So Minorin went on her way to the places she was to be cleaning.
During her cleanly trek across the village, she either found herself watching the other children play or she found herself a witness to drunken brawls. Neither of which interested her very much. But all the cleaning interested her very much! She rather liked it to be completely honest. She found the scrubbing of a prickly brush going over graffiti and the smell of the disinfectants and soaps she had brought along with her to be very soothing. And the sweeping up of everyday trash felt almost mind numbing in a simple but nice way.
Eventually she came to a very dirty part of Kirigakure and couldn't help but wonder why people would let things become so mucky. It was truly a sight to see; there was some sort of murky substance drizzled across a good amount of the pavement in this area and Minorin was sure she saw some blood in the dark brown paste that seemed to swallow the walls of a nearby building. She sighed, Yes, I certainly would classify this as dirty.. This cleaning would not be the enjoyable kind. But Minorin wanted to completely cleanse this area, no not only this area, but all the areas she was required to clean in the village!
And with that she went to work; throwing scattered debris into wastebaskets, mopping and sweeping the pavement until it was clear of all blemishes, and scrubbing the walls with tremendous force. She kept scrubbing incredibly hard until she was sure she had rubbed her hands raw under her gloves, then she started scrubbing more gingerly; taking care not to irritate her new wounds. But her work proved to be efficient. Finally this particular area was clean and she allowed herself to move on to the next requested area.
Minorin knew there was a lot to clean and she was ready to tackle it, full force! She scrubbed until the village seemed to shine with the amazing radiance of soap and hard work! Or at least it seemed that way to Minorin by the time she had finished.

Task: A few cats belonging to an old lady have run away, she requested help on getting them back. Your job is to find the five missing cats and bring them home.
Minorin has received a mission concerning a few missing cats that belong to an old woman, she needs help getting them back and Minorin is happy to help her.
Minorin first asks the elderly woman how these cats look and what their names are. Minorin jots down what the woman tells her on a notepad she keeps in her pouch;
-Tabby, Male, brown fur and green eyes, goes by the name “Chompy”
-Calico, Male, mostly white fur with patches of orange and black blended in, goes by the name “Guster”
-Tuxedo cat, Female, Body is all black with a white underbelly and paws, goes by the name “Musette”
They all know their names.
Minorin nods as she reads over the information she has written down, takes the cat’s carriers from the woman, thanks her for both the information and supplies, and is then on her way.
First Minorin tries the parts of the city closest to the water, finding none of the cats she is looking for there she decides to move down to the water. Many people are fishing today; due to such activity there seem to be quite a few cats here. Minorin sifts through her information and glances at the cats fawning around the fishermen. She thinks she might see a one of the three cats she is looking for, the cat that goes by the name of Guster. She slowly walks over to the cat and examines it. The description matches. She kneels down nearby and calls out to Guster. The cat shifts its head and stares at Minorin. Minorin calls out to Guster again, this time in a gentler tone. The cat turns from the fisherman and pads over to Minorin. Minorin picks the cat up and puts him one of the three carriers provided and continues to search the coastline.
Guster keeps crying in the carrier and makes Minorin’s job a little easier. Many of the cats come up to the carrier and sniff at it, quite interested in Guster and his mewling. As Minorin walks along she keeps a sharp eye out for Musette and Chompy just in case they decide to show themselves. She is about to turn back towards the main part of the village when Guster begins meowing wildly and shifting around carelessly in his carrier. Minorin almost falls over but manages to keep her balance when what she believes to be one of the last two cats catches her eye. She believes it to be “Musette” but isn’t sure yet. The small tuxedo cat trots over to Guster’s carrier, sniffs it, and rubs its face on the carrier. Guster has stopped shifting around and meowing by this time and Minorin thinks she hears a soft purr emanating from the carrier. It had to be Musette; why else would Guster become so calm? She didn’t bother to call the cat’s name and put her into one of the empty carriers.
With Musette and Chompy in tow Minorin began to slump. One cat was one thing, but carrying two cats was almost unbearable, even if Musette was small. Minorin decided to drop by the elderly woman’s house and have her take her two cats while Minorin stayed out searching for the last cat.
Minorin was searching for hours but couldn’t seem to find the cat anywhere. She had even started knocking on doors and asking if anyone had seen “Chompy.” Minorin trudged along, not wanting to give up on the cat or the woman, but it was now considerably late at night and she doubted she would be able to find the cat. She turned back and made her way to the old woman’s home. Wanting not to disappoint her but she would have to. She knocked on the door and waited on the woman to open it. Minorin heard the shuffling footsteps of the old woman, they were measured and slow. Minorin was really dreading having to tell her that she wasn’t able to find Chompy.
The old woman opened the door and Minorin’s jaw dropped. There Chompy was! Right there in the crook of the woman’s arm. Minorin couldn’t speak at this point; she had been out for hours searching for this cat. Had he been hiding in the house the whole time? The old woman immediately explained that only a few hours ago she found Chompy under the couch fast asleep and that she had figured Minorin would’ve returned empty handed much sooner than now so she hadn’t bothered going out to look. Minorin nodded and faintly smiled, she was glad the cat hadn’t been lost but she had just wasted hours of her day she could’ve devoted to training. The woman thanked her and shut the door. Minorin sighed and turned around. It was finally time to go home.

Task: Someone has been stealing food from both the members of the village, citizen and shinobi alike, and the shops. Find out who said person is and report who the person is, and where he is hiding. Make sure to not be caught or else the person may run.
Today Minorin’s mission was to find a thief. The idea of chasing down a thief made Minorin giddy with excitement. This was the kind of mission real shinobi go on and she was finally in that category! She couldn’t help but smile a bit as she made her way down the streets.
She shook the smile off of her face; this was no time for a smile! It didn’t matter if she was excited, this was serious business. People were being stolen from in her very own village. She managed to keep a straight face after she thought about the severity of the situation. It wasn’t the worst thing in the world, but it was a disturbance and no one wants their belongings stolen.
Minorin kept a keen eye out for any possessions left out and made a point of watching said possessions. A man was working on someone’s shop door and left his lunch unattended to. It was right behind said man, but someone could easily walk right on by and pick it up as if it were their very own lunch. Minorin frowned, if people were making it this easy to steal from them she almost felt like it was kind of their own fault. Minorin shook her head, no, they aren’t making it easy to steal from them; they only trust their fellow villagers to look out for them and not steal from them. The fault belonged solely to this thief, whoever he may be.
Minorin watched the hardworking man and his lunch for quite a while. She was turned partially away from the lunch but could see it in her peripheral vision. She nonchalantly pretended to window shop; she pressed her small fingers to shops’ glass windows and nuzzled her face to the cool glass, seeming to be rather interested in the items within. She moved around shop-to-shop so as to not draw but so much attention to herself. She probably didn’t need to worry about being found out seeing as she didn’t even remotely look like a shinobi and she always forgot to wear her headband, but Minorin was the kind to worry and made sure to keep a low profile.
She had actually entered a shop at this point and was “browsing” their wares that lay closest to the window when she noticed a man much taller than she was eyeing the lunch of the man who was still working so hard on that one shop’s door. The man was dressed in some kind of black attire; the clothes seemed to swallow him for he was of small frame. The man smothered in black was turned away from Minorin allowing her to leave the store and shadow him. Unfortunately due to the fact that he was turned away from her she couldn’t make out his face. That was fine though, he may not be the thief in question or a thief at all, many people in Kirigakure dressed darkly so this man might just be another hungry resident with no interest in actually taking the belongings of a neighbor.
The man in black kept turned away from Minorin and began walking nonchalantly toward the hardworking man and his lunch and before Minorin knew it the tall thin man had plucked up the lunch as though it had been nothing more than a speck of dirt, it had been swiped away in almost no time at all. Minorin almost couldn’t believe her eyes. And now even though she had just seen the strange man pluck up the lunch it now seemed the lunch was nowhere to be found! Minorin now understood why the man’s clothes fit so loosely; it was so that he might shut away any possessions he might steal inside the billowing darkness that was his clothing. The man turned and Minorin made sure to remember his thin sallow face as she walked in the opposite direction of the man. It was time to report the thief.

Task: The village hasn't been receiving shipments of resources from the farmers not too far from the village. The village shinobi are unable to make any contact with the farmers, your job is to go and find out what the trouble is, and make sure the village receives the shipments soon.
Today Minorin had yet another mission. This time her mission would involve crossing a small mountain range and trek across a craggy landscape to reach her destination, it wasn’t very far from the village but it was kind of tough to get there. Kirigakure was home to quite a few mountains; they outlined part of the village and looked dauntingly down on the tiny residents below them.
Minorin thought about her mission as she carefully climbed up a large boulder in her rocky path. Some farmers hadn’t made shipments to the village and the shinobi of the village have been unable to make contact with the farmers; and so this could turn out to be fairly problematic. She sighed, she was very glad that she was an actual ninja now but it had turned out to be a lot of work for such a little body. She cleared the large rock and was on her way up the bare and craggy hills. Minorin shuffled determinedly along trying to make good time. This journey would take much less time had she been taller, but regrettably she was only 120 centimeters tall. And so the journey would prove to be quite challenging for her.
After good amount of time and a lot of climbing Minorin thought she saw what might be a small farm off in the distance. It lay in a small valley quite a ways off from where Minorin now stood. To get there Minorin would be going mostly downhill so she knew it wouldn’t take but so long. She pressed her small hands to her weak knees and panted. It had been a tough journey so far, but on the bright side she would get a bit of a break before reaching her destination. She looked once more at the farm as she caught her breath.
On her way down she ended up slipping twice and scraping the back of her legs and palms of her hands a bit, she hoped she wouldn’t look but so beaten up once she reached the farmers. If they were truly up to something sketchy and she arrived looking beaten it wouldn’t be much of a mission or a fight for that matter. She carefully picked her way down the pebbled slopes and came to the valley in a short amount of time compared to how long it had taken her to reach the slopes anyhow.
Minorin plodded over towards the farmhouse as she glanced around the valley. It was larger than she thought it would be; there was a reasonable amount of land for both livestock and produce. Her path came near a pen containing some grazing cows and she couldn’t help but hop onto the fence and watch them. Minorin patted the back of the cow next to the fence and shooed away some flies that were pestering the poor thing. Minorin continued to watch the flies buzz around for a while before the cow moved on towards the center of the pasture. Her eyes monitored the cow until Minorin noticed something peculiar. The field neighboring the one the cows were grazing in should be yielding crops now but instead there were some sort of withered stalks littering the ground. They hadn’t been harvested but they had been left to expire.
Minorin hopped off of her fence and strode over to the field containing the lifeless stalks. It seemed to be pak choi that now littered the ground, it was a pretty small field but there were others neighboring it in the same condition. Seeing all of this kind of spooked Minorin and she decided to walk back to the farmhouse. She saw that the lights were on inside, there had to be someone home. As Minorin got closer to the house smoke started billowing from the chimney. Someone was definitely in there.
Minorin had now made her way to the door and couldn’t decide whether to knock or not. She was hearing a lot of movement coming from inside and wanted to listen for a while to better gauge the situation. She could hear hurried footsteps scraping across the floor, the sound of sweeping, she could even hear something boiling over what she assumed would be a stove or something of that nature, and then she heard someone coughing. The coughing was like a faint blast of sound. It was coming from a room further in the house. It sounded horrific; it was like a restrained bark, and sounded as though whoever was coughing had turned their throat raw at this point. Minorin heard the shuffling footsteps travel deeper into the house and then heard a small voice speaking to whom she assumed was coughing. She couldn’t make out what was said as the two spoke since they were too far away for her to hear them, but she knew that it was a man and a woman and both were of old age.
Minorin closed her eyes and knocked softly on the door. She felt she already knew the situation but she would have to talk to this elderly couple to confirm her assumption. Something was mumbled by the woman and then the shuffling footsteps came towards the door. An old woman dressed plainly answered the door and looked down at Minorin. Minorin smiled softly, “Hello, Ma’am. I am from Kirigakure, do you mind if I come in for a moment? I’m here to talk about the uh, farming issue.” Minorin then looked down feeling awkward; it was weird questioning an adult. The woman just stepped aside. Minorin walked in quickly but carefully, not wanting to dirty the freshly swept floor. She found herself in a cozy yet quaint home and felt even stranger. She hoped she wouldn’t cause any problems for them. She looked up at the elderly woman and found that she was smiling at her. Minorin was glad her presence didn’t seem to be an inconvenience.
The woman gestured for Minorin to take a seat and so Minorin did, she took a seat at the small kitchen table that only had room for two. The woman then sat down in the chair opposite to Minorin and waited. Minorin cleared her throat, “Why have the shipments Kirigakure requested not arrived yet?” The woman looked down the hallway behind Minorin, “You see, my husband is very ill at this time and, well, it’s been hard trying to keep the farm going by myself,” The woman paused, “I’m sure you noticed the crops are in a terrible kind of state, I saw you looking outside of the kitchen window.’’ She nodded in the direction of said window and Minorin glanced outside, she would have been visible through it. The woman heaved a deep sigh, “I can handle the cows though. That’s what Hugh and I have always done, I handle the cows and other animals and he handles the crops.” Minorin nodded, she didn’t need any more information and being in here with the sad woman was getting depressing. Minorin decided she would speak now, “I understand,” she said with a smile, “I’ll be sure to inform the village that your husband is sick. So please don’t worry about anything else.” Minorin leapt down form the chair and scooted it in. She looked up at the woman, “I’m sure your husband will get better, if you ever need medicine contact the village and I’ll see if I can help you.” Minorin tried to sound convincing and cheerful for the old woman’s sake even though she wasn’t sure of anything she said.
The woman seemed to be appreciative though and with that Minorin left the farmhouse and began making her way up the slopes. There was nothing to worry about.. Except perhaps cracking her own head open on these crags.

Mission Name: Patrol
Rank: D
Type: Scouting
Character Requirements: None
Word Count Requirements: 300
Repeatable? Yes
Reward: 450 ryo
Task: Scout around the village to make sure the area is secure. If anyone who doesn't seem to be an ally is seen, report it to higher ranking shinobi.
Today Minorin was on patrol! She was supposed to scout out the village and make sure all was well, and if there was some sort of fiend amidst the people of Kirigakure she was to report them! This was pretty exciting. But she would have to take care to use her power for good and not be swept away by the evils of such power!
Minorin prowled the streets watching everyone, suspecting everyone, she had to be thorough. Anyone present could prove themselves to be a dastardly disturbance to the village! She was half playing; everyone here seemed perfectly fine and friendly. Nothing and no one seemed amiss. Half of her wasn’t playing though, half of her had become slightly paranoid. She had never really thought of someone coming in to her village to actually stir up trouble and the thought really bothered her.
She moved on to another street and scanned the crowd for anyone who wasn’t an ally, finding none she permitted herself to move on to the next street. She kept scanning the crowds and inspecting tons of people but couldn’t seem to find a real threat anywhere. She began feeling irritated, what if she was missing something? She checked over everyone again, examining their faces and trying to think if they were wanted for anything or a foe of the village. Still nothing, she backtracked and began searching the roads closest to the sea. Still no one seemed to be an enemy.
She wandered around looking for something to be wrong, she was glad she couldn’t find anyone but at the same time maybe it wasn’t good? Maybe the enemy had slipped right by her without her noticing? Minorin frowned, she didn’t like this mission at all. It was so stressful. By now she had been all over Kirigakure and decided it was time to give her report. Everything seemed to be completely fine.
