Minorin and the Mizukage (P, NK)
Mon Nov 19, 2012 10:12 pm
Minorin was once again at the doors to the Mizukage’s office, they were closed again this time too. Minorin took in a deep breath and knocked on the doors. She wasn’t entirely sure why she had been called to come and see her Kage but she was there nonetheless. She sighed, she felt so anxious.
Minorin had felt kind of jittery the last couple of days and today was the worst one out of them all. Her right hand was still on the door, not knocking any longer, just sitting there. She was waiting and didn’t want to move a single inch from where she was presently standing.

Minorin quickly lowered her left arm and looked up at the Mizukage. Now she felt embarrassed, maybe he hadn’t noticed? She could only hope.
The Mizukage started to speak; he first greeted Minorin and went on to request that she follow him to the training grounds to test a few things. Minorin nodded seeing as she never really knew what to say when speaking to someone of higher rank, well, except for Denkiteki. But she considered that boy to be a little strange. Minorin stepped aside so that she was no longer in front of the doorway, allowing a good amount of space between she and the Kage so that he could pass her.
She assumed he meant to test her training with Kokuo. She hoped she’d done well; she could now use five of the Gobi’s tails and hoped that would impress her Mizukage.
She would follow the Mizukage to the training grounds without question if he led the way.

As Minorin followed the Mizukage to the training ground it felt eerily quiet, this didn’t help her nerves at all. She plodded along behind the Mizukage and counted down from ten inside her head.
Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Fi-
All of a sudden her Kage’s skin was peeling off. Minorin gasped and stepped back in horror, unsure as to what was really going on. She felt like she might go into some kind of panic any second now.
Then he was enveloped by red chakra, prominently altering his appearance. This was so bizarre, she understood that the Mizukage was in some stronger kind of bijuu cloak but it didn’t change the fact that Minorin was sent reeling through her thoughts.
She watched as his tails materialized and attempted to shake herself into a combative frame of mind. Then she noticed that he even had spikes. This was not going to be fun.
Her Kage then turned towards her, advising her to activate her bijuu cloak and get started. It took only a few seconds for Minorin to digest everything that was happening as Suzaku spat out four spherical objects of some kind of substance that looked to be coral, it quickly formed walls around him that seemed impenetrable. She couldn’t see the Mizukage at all.
Minorin decided to face the challenge at hand, even though she felt like she’d regret it later. She activated her bijuu cloak, a thin orange film materialized around her body and five tails swished recklessly behind her as she attempted to formulate a quick attack.
She was struck with might be a pretty good idea and decided to go with it. She executed the hand seals necessary and two illusionary clones appeared; one on her right side and one on her left. She performed another set of hand seals before she made the two clones run towards the Mizukage’s coral walls and then jump on top of the thick walls. The Mizukage’s coral structure seemed to have no roof.
Minorin’s feet began sinking into the ground as the soil beneath her feet turned into a fine sand, soon she was underground and moving toward what she believed to be the Mizukage’s chakra signature. As soon as she felt she was just below him she began to move her body up closer to the surface, as she did so she raised both hands. She could feel air hit her palms and at that point she attempted to grab onto the Mizukage’s ankles in an attempt to pull him under.

Minorin was surprised as she felt water hit her palms and then begin to fill up the coral enclosure; she was still underground except for her hands. She made sure to quickly pull them back under the earth and tried to sense where the Mizukage could possibly be; doubting that he remained in what she imagined was now a water-filled box.
She was unable to sense anything now and so she moved a little to her right, making sure she wouldn’t have to take a swim, and released the jutsu. Minorin then returned to the surface. She was greeted by a thick blanket of mist; this really wasn’t going to be fun. Not only was she fighting a Kage but now she was blinded as well. She made sure she was near the coral structure by slowly reaching out behind her body and leaning carefully against it. She didn’t know where the Mizukage was or what she should do, but she figured staying close to the large coral object wasn’t the worst thing she could be doing in this situation and left it at that.
Minorin braced herself against the coral structure, making sure not to prick herself, and decided she would use the steam release that having the Gobi allowed her to do. She took in the deepest breath she could and exhaled a large amount of steam from her mouth, attempting to evaporate the mist in the surrounding area.

Minorin had only just stopped exhaling steam when she was caught off guard by the sight of what seemed to be a giant water ball about the size of the Mizukage soaring towards her. She had almost no time to react as the ball of condensed water charged towards her at quite an impressive speed. She had only time enough to dive three feet to her right and out of the way of the bullet like structure that had approached her before crashing down onto the soil below. The impact of her belly against the ground knocked the air out of her lungs as she clenched her eyes shut. Minorin gasped as she heard not one, but three water balls crash against the coral structure that towered above her. Her right side of her right foot was still touching the structure as she laid there, her body tense as water rained down on top of her after the water balls had made impact with the coral structure in quick succession. It seemed all three had been fired at the same spot, that spot being where Minorin had previously been standing. Currently soaked Minorin pushed herself off of the ground and inched a couple feet over towards the right side of the coral structure into a standing position. She was able to do this quickly and glanced in the direction that the water bullets had come from. The Mizukage stood about sixteen meters away from her current standing position.
It seemed he had shot the water bullets from there. Minorin lifted her arms up as a sign of surrender. She was soaking wet and the weather outside had become chilly. Fighting a water user was absolutely miserable.

Minorin lowered her arms before wrapping them around her soaking torso. Her wet clothes stuck to her small body and as Minorin positioned her arms she could feel the wet fabric peel off of her skin in some places before being sucked onto another part of her body. This was happening mainly in her armpit and leg area. Her clothes were ruined; they’d come out less vibrant and worn looking after going through the wash after this event. A cold wind passed by causing Minorin to shiver violently. She was going to get sick if this went on much longer.
The small girl glanced at the Mizukage once more before wrapping her arms even tighter around her body. Her Kage seemed to not care much for the events at hand. Minorin supposed he was acting this way since she had surrendered. The girl understood for the most part, a ninja being bested by water and cold weather was pretty pathetic. She sighed. He hadn’t moved a single inch. Part of her felt as if he was staring into space without a single care in the world. Almost like his brain had just shut off out of nowhere. The girl examined him for quite some time, wondering whether or not she was allowed to leave.
After what she guessed was five or six uneventful minutes the girl trudged along in her wet clothes. She was heading towards home and as she exited the training grounds she heaved a sigh of relief. Today had been so stressful.
