Training (Private, No kill)

Minorin was once again at the training ground. Today she was visiting in the late afternoon. Minorin stretched her small muscles and began jogging around the training field. It was more pleasant making laps here than it was around the village due to the soft earth under her feet at all times, she did miss the spray of the sea but that was alright. Training was still training.

She completed a couple laps and decided she needed a sparring partner, her mind flashed to Denkiteki but she didn’t think he would be here at this time. She exhaled and practiced channeling her chakra through her body, concentrating it in her hands and then moving it to her feet, so on and so forth. She was very bored without a partner.

She decided to use the hiding like a mole technique. Minorin executed the hand seals required and went underground. She attempted to find things above her, such as people, etc. She sent out her chakra attempting to sense the objects above and did a fair job, she couldn’t tell what exactly she was sensing yet but she could definitely sense it. She tried to find the trees she had noticed previously in the training grounds and started moving toward what she hoped would be said trees, when she was about two meters away from her target she released the jutsu and returned aboveground. She was facing the trees. Minorin smiled; she was getting better at this.

Denkiteki wore his Chuunin gear, feeling very proud of himself for achieving the rank of Middle-Ninja so young. He also wore his kunai holster on his left leg, strapped to the outer part of his thigh. A weapon pouch was attached to his belt, with it resting right above his backside. He didn’t wear his new weapon, the sword his father had given him, because he was only going to be training today.

A huge smile was on Denkiteki’s face as he entered the training area, looking around at all of the other shinobi there. Normally he went to train before a bunch of other shinobi showed up, but he had gone on a mission that morning, so his training had to be delayed.

As he walked through the training area, he looked around for a spot for him to train by himself. He wasn’t sure what he would be training today, maybe his shurikenjutsu? He rarely practiced throwing or wielding his smaller weapons, maybe it would be a good idea for him to do that.

He found a tree, and decided that it would be suitable enough. Pulling out a shuriken with his right hand, Denkiteki aimed for a spot on the tree that was fairly high off of the ground. Grasping it, Denkiteki threw the shuriken so that it arced upward, but at that moment a small object seemed to pop out of the ground.

The shuriken whizzed right over Minorin’s right shoulder before arcing upward and into the spot Denkiteki had aimed for. He stood frozen in place, if that had been a bit more to the left… he didn’t move. He felt terrible. He had just almost killed her on accident. He felt so bad he didn’t even ask her what the hell she was doing, practicing that technique in front of a tree that seemed to be used often by others for target practice.

Minorin felt an object whizz right by her neck. It was to her right. She was unable to watch said object but as it sunk into the tree she understood. Her eyes narrowed, Who the hell throws a shuriken at a pretty little girl!?

Minorin whipped around, she was pissed and wanted to know who the culprit was. She froze. Denkiteki..? Was he some kind of freak? Was he mad she had left last time without giving him any kind of thanks for teaching her that jutsu?

She almost shook with anger, she would be unable to make any kind of mark on Denkiteki but she could at least express herself. She stomped angrily over to Denkiteki and stopped just a meter away from the boy. She glared up into his shocked face and crossed her arms, "The strangest thing just happened to me, Denkiteki.." She attempted her sweetest smile as she spoke with a tone soaked in honey.

Denkiteki was still frozen as Minorin approached him. She looked angry, extremely angry. But she talked she had a bright smile on her face, which creeped Denkiteki out.

“I’m sorry, I had no idea you would pop up there. I was just going to practice throwing shuriken and you just popped up right there all of the sudden. Scared the shit out of me.” His voice betrayed just how scared he was. I almost killed her…

Denkiteki knew that, unlike with those poachers, Denkiteki wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if he killed Min. She was a good kid, and she had a lot of talent. She isn’t trash, and she hasn’t ever tried to get in my way.

Taking a deep breath, Denkiteki composed himself. “Next time you practice the Hiding Like a Mole Technique, make sure there isn’t someone near by with a shuriken in their hand. Did you not sense me over here?” he wasn’t attempting to push the blame on to her, even though it was more or less her fault. He still felt guilty, he only said that because he wanted to make sure she didn’t do that again in the future.

Minorin didn't care if it had scared him or not! He'd still done it! Although her anger did lessen once she acknowledged his fear. But then he tried to make it sound as if it were Minorin's fault and that ruined it; her anger was back at full strength. Minorin lifted her eyebrows, she was pretty darn sure Denkiteki wasn't around when she got to the training grounds or when she went underground for that matter. It wasn't her fault he was some sort of imbecile. Just chucking sharp objects around willy-nilly.

She ignored his words and kneaded the ground with her left foot, arms still crossed and eyes still narrowed. She thought for a moment and decided he could repay her by training with her until she was bored for the day.. Pretty much a slave.. Only for training! Minorin's eyes lit up at this pleasant thought. She needed to train and she could only become better with a good partner, well, she wouldn't classify Denkiteki as "good" but he was good enough.

Then she realized something.

Oh, this is too GOOD to be true!

Denkiteki was now a chuunin! She could have danced for her excitement! Her slave for the day would be a chuunin, someone of higher rank. Oh it was just precious.

A soft look came over her face and she attempted to look as pitiable as possible, "You know, Den.. I could have DIED..." She made a muffled sob in her throat and looked at Denkiteki with pleading eyes, "Wouldn't that be horrible? KILLING your friend that way.. I mean really now... So I think a really simple way you could repay me would be to serve me for today." She tried her best to sound abused, "You know, just help me train today.. All day. Until I'm bored. And without any breaks unless I say so."

She knew her voice had faltered a bit, she hoped it didn't betray any underlying excitement. She looked at Denkiteki and waited for his reply.

Denkiteki could tell that Minorin was trying to guilt him into training with her. Even though she was obvious, it worked. He felt really bad, and wanted to make it up to her. When she had said he had to ‘serve’ her he had been confused, but lucky she clarified that she meant training for the whole day.

“You sure you can handle training all day? That could be more detrimental to your health and grow then it would help you.” He said, he wasn’t lying. If she trained to hard she could hurt herself pretty bad, tear a muscle or suffer from chakra exhaustion. It was just a coincidence that he also didn’t want to train with her. All. Day.

“Anyway though, what do you want to do for training? Do you want me to help you with the Hiding Like a mole Technique some more? So something like this doesn’t happen again?” he didn’t realize that she would probably take offense to that until after he spoke, which caused him to sigh. She would probably take that as him thinking she sucked at Ninjutsu or something, and then try to make him do some ludicrous training with her.

He could be wrong though, but he didn’t think he was. He had only known her for a day, but she seemed like the type to get easily offended.

Minorin just smiled as Denkiteki spoke. She knew he was trying to get out of training with her all day but that just wouldn't work. She laughed, "Are you hard of hearing? I said no breaks unless I say so. That means there might be some." she sighed happily; it was really fun being in charge of someone!

She pondered practicing the Hiding Like A Mole Technique again but decided they could do that later. What she really wanted to do was spar! She'd never faught anyone but her father and she knew he was only toying with her. She wanted to become stronger and that meant broadening her horizons. Minorin felt like sparring with Denkiteki would be a good way to start even if she failed miserably.

She smiled at Denkiteki, "We can practice your mole thing later, right now I want to spar!"

Denkiteki couldn’t help but chuckle, she wanted to spar him? Denkiteki was far from the most powerful shinobi in the village, but he was capable enough to take on a Genin, even if they were a member of the Senju clan.

Still, if that was what she wanted, that was what she was going to get. Denkiteki smirked, deciding he would practice two of his new jutsu here. Of course, he wouldn’t be able to use his offensive one to its fullest extent, he didn’t want to kill/maim/stab Minorin.

Performing two hand seals, the earth would make a strange noise to the right and left of Denkiteki. He looked at Minorin a moment as he focused his chakra, guestimating, her height. After a few seconds short, think spikes shot straight up out of the ground within arms reach of Denkiteki. One was just a little bit taller then him, maybe a few centimeters or so. The other was about Minorin’s height, with a little extra as well. Reaching out to both of them, Denkiteki channeled a little bit of chakra into them. There was soft noise as the spikes disconnected from the ground, and Denkiteki held two spears in his hand.

He tossed the smaller one to Minorin, throwing it at her so that the tip of the spike would be facing away from her at a 90 degree angle, “We’ll fight with these, and if you want you can break off a bit of the tip, to make its size more to your liking. You don’t have to though, you wouldn’t be able to stab me with it.” Denkiteki smirked as he said that. He broke off the tip of his weapon, making it more of a staff then a spike or a spear.

Denkiteki contemplated using his Stoneskin jutsu, but decided against using it just yet. If she proved to be skilled he might, just to mess with her. “If you don’t want to use the spikes, we don’t have to. It is your choice of course.”

Minorin watched quietly as Denkiteki produced two spear-like objects from the ground; one was very long, she supposed it was somewhere around Denkiteki's height, the other spear was only a little taller than she was. She was already aware that Denkiteki was much more skilled than she was, but this was really impressive. She wondered if she would be able to learn this jutsu at some point.

Minorin was caught off gaurd by Denkiteki throwing her the smaller spear, she wondered if he realized they were only a meter away from eachother so he could've just handed it to her. She fumbled to catch it and brought the head up close to her face, it was pretty sharp. Minorin broke the tip off since Denkiteki had done so and attempted to hold the rod defensively in front of herself. Minorin then swished the rod from side to side; it was pretty light too. This spar was probably going to suck, but she appreciated Denkiteki's weapon choice.

She sighed as she turned around to walk a couple more meters away from Denkiteki, once she felt she was far enough she turned back in Denkiteki's direction and waited. She wanted him to have the first move since she didn't know what to do, maybe she could pick something up from him right off the bat. Minorin held the rod tightly in her hands, she was actually pretty worried at this point but she wouldn't let it show. She'd said she wanted to spar so now she'd have to.

Denkiteki let Minorin walk away, though he wondered if he should try and pull a cheap trick. Smirking, Denkiteki leaned his spike against his chest and did a hand seal, and two clones appeared next to him. Both of them were normal academy clones, not shadow clones. The trick wouldn’t be as funny if they were real, not to mention Denkiteki had used a jutsu moments before. He couldn’t keep using higher ranked jutsu, it would only tire him out.

Each clone looked exactly like Denkiteki, and each also had a spike in their hand. Before Minorin turned around, Denkiteki switched with the clone on his left, so that Minorin would be confused. By the time she turned around, three Denkiteki’s were standing in front of her, smirking.

Denkiteki had considered asking if she was ready, but that might have given away which one was real. And he didn’t want to do that. Instead he and the clones just smirked, before running at Minorin with their poles raised over their heads, holding them like they were giant swords.

The one farthest from Denkiteki moved ahead, and faked a swing with his pole down towards her head, but then swung it towards her left side instead, hopefully forcing her to try and block it and turn her pole away from Denkiteki and the other clone. Denkiteki and the second clone then crossed over, and it swung for her other side, but it didn’t make any sort of feint like the first clone did. Both clones, and their poles, would simply pass through Minorin if they made contact with her or her pole, so Denkiteki wasn’t worried about them hurting her.

As the two clones swung their poles at Minorin, Denkiteki brought his down towards her head. If she didn’t try and block his attack, he would stop it just before it hit her.
