It had been about two days since Ymir's last mission and he was getting a little antsy. He was out for a stroll through the Hidden Mist Village when he detected something coming toward him from above. As he reacted, he looked up and saw a letter falling the sky. He quickly caught it and he saw his name printed on the front with the Seal of the Mizukage on the back. He thought to himself that this must be his next mission. He immediately became excited at the thought of the mission. He opened the letter and saw the D imprinted on the top of it. He was thankful that it wasn't another E ranked pointless mission. He began to read the letter. It explained that he was required to find the thief/thieves who have been stealing goods from the villagers.

He had a problem though, how was he going to catch these thieves? He was not a super secret detective that had high skills in crime solving. One thing was going for him though, he was a great ninja. Ymir went and talked with one of the victims of the robberies about what was stolen. After going to several of the victims, he notice one thing in common, the robber was stealing everyone's kunai. Ymir thought this was very strange and pondered why someone would do this. To catch this thief was going to be tricky.

Ymir had an idea. He ventured to the nearest resident ninja's home and asked if he could set up shop there to steak out the robber. The ninja agreed and seeing that he had many kunai in the house, Ymir was sure that he would have to be hit eventually. On the third night of the steak out, it happened. The sound of broken glass echoed through the house. Ymir went into action. Using his extreme speed, he was almost instantaneously behind the robber. At the same time as he was moving, Ymir unsheathed his ninjato and held it under the chin of the intruder. "Who are you and why are you in this house?" Ymir asked in his usual monotoned voice. The robber began to scream for help as if he were the one being attacked. Ymir tightened his grip on the robber asking once again the question. When the robber fell silent, Ymir release him from his grasp. The robber stumbled and fell onto the floor but quickly regaining his feet pulling out a kunai while doing so. Ymir seeing this is somewhat amused. Lifting up his ninjato, he puts it toward the robber saying in his monotoned voice,"You don't want to do this." Not seeing a way out, the robber charges Ymir with kunai in hand.

Ymir seeing this speaks in a calm, controlled voice,"Ice Release: Ice Entrapment Jutsu." At that moment, the robber's feet encased in ice casing to to fall face-first into the ground. Ymir showing no mercy, slowly walks up to the robber calmly saying,"Now, I'm going to ask you again. Why have you broken into this person's home?" The robber was holding onto what was left of his dignity and remained silent. Ymir sighed as he grabbed to hair on top of the robber's head raising him to his knees. Ymir whispered softly in the ear of the robber,"You give me no choice." Upon saying this, Ymir raised his ninjato up under the chin of the robber once more and slowly slid it across the robber's throat. The dying man gargled blood right before he hit the ground.

Ymir looking over to the owner of the house said this,"Sorry about the bloodshed in your house, Anbu will be here shortly to collect the body. Farewell." Upon saying this Ymir disappeared into the night. He returned home after that a bit shaken. This was his first time taking the life of another human being. He couldn't believe he had the nerve to do such a thing. Then he remembered his duty as a Mist Shinobi, to serve the village and do anything to help it progress as a nation. This thug was threatening the peace and tranquillity of the village and he needed to be dealt with. Ymir reasoned with himself saying that he gave the thief many chances to confess and repent for what he had done/was doing, yet he couldn't help feeling guilty for his deeds. "I guess it's a good thing that I feel guilty about taking the life of another human being," Ymir spoke softly to himself,"I means that I still have my sanity.

Upon speaking these words, Ymir got ready for bed. He laid down thinking to himself how short his life could be if he didn't train harder. He was determined as ever to continue to train harder so that he wouldn't ever be in such a situation as to have someone elses blade under you chin. As he thought this lst sentence, he drifted off to sleep.
