The tale of Echo the Invincible.
Fri Nov 30, 2012 3:41 pm
Echo Uchiha returns to the cave he normally camps in while near Suna, his face showing some slight inebriation from the bottles of alcohol given to him by the Raikage from his time in Kumo.
He sighs at what happened afterwards...such a disrespect for human life that he's witnessed.
He growls in his throat slightly the Kyuubi reacting to his anguish who Echo forcibly smacks down with his sheer force of will, the Kyuubi is a double edged sword and Echo knows it, he has to be careful with the powers he possesses, lest they consume him and his soul.
He stands at the entrance of the cave and glances towards the calm night sky of the desert, with a casual flick of his left hand he starts a fire in the rock pit he created on his first journey here the breeze from the same hand allowing it to kindle and become strong enough to sustain itself.
Echo wears his normal garb, his Demon collar and gear in sight for all who chooses to look.
His goggles still obscuring his mismatched eyes from view, he briefly ponders life...and what it brings to people.
He wonders if his journey of enlightenment will yield results...he wonders if he deserves the results.
He sighs and takes a seat on a stone large enough for him to be slightly high off the ground as he glances outwards towards the village of Suna...he's never been there before has he?

Rat had drawn the short straw, for after he returned the bodies to the ANBU headquarters, he was immediately assigned to informing duty. The operative had been looking for Captain Navi Yamaki to deliver the grave news, but seeing as how Nero was the last of his clan, he figured it might be better to start off easy.
Echo Uchiha was the first on the list, a man that could have been anywhere for Kiri to Suna. It gave Operative Rat a chance to go on leave to go find the man, a mission he would start by heading straight to Suna. It wasn't long before a massive plume of flame was spotted, an explosion of fire in the distance that inspired curiosity and drew Rat closer to see what had happened.
Wearing his ANBU mask and black ANBU cloak to conceal his identity, Operative Rat approached the scene and recognized a chakra signature, one he recognized immediately as the one of Echo Uchiha.
Rat called out first, honored to finally meet the legend face to face.
"Hello Sir!" he called out cheerfully, speaking with uncalled for enthusiasm as he would soon be delivering grave news.

Echo glances upwards noticing one of his subordinates, strange coincidence..if a coincidence at all.
Echo waves a grin on his face "Yo Rat!" He says his smile much too friendly...something of a worry as the wind begins to pick up "If it's a summons tell my Brother I ain't heading back yet." He says rather ominously leaving no room for argument...and yes...if they decided to force the issue there would be quite a fight.
He briefly allows his heavy chakra to go unconcealed, the crushing pressure of his raw power being unleashed being felt even from Sunagakure no sato.
A fight would obviously end in his favor and it would take Viper himself to come get him.

Rat falls backwards upon Echo's exhibition, propping himself up on an elbow as he quivers in awe at the man's power.
"Nononononono!" Rat cries, feeling the sheer power crush down on him to the point where it became difficult to breathe.
He would pick himself up, taking a deep breath and attempting to compose himself.
"I came... I came to deliver a message sir. I'm afraid Nero Yamaki has died on the field of battle."
He waited to see Echo's reaction, desperately hoping it wouldn't descend into anger and his inevitable death.

Echo's eyes widen and the bluish hue of his chakra turns a dark red a bubbling aura of chakra forming around him the Kyuubi no kitsune forming around Echo's teeth turning to wide fangs his fingers curving into claws as he stands up his voice booming outwards as a small tornado forms around his frame.
"WHAT!!!!?" He shouts his malice felt as the wind explodes outwards.
That boy was to be Echo's disciple, he passed on the skill that would allow one to become a God in power, a kindred spirit of wind, one who understood the true freedom of the spring breeze and the power of the hurricane.
Echo will find no other who could possibly carry on his legacy, the loss sets in as Echo drops to his knee's the Kyuubi's chakra dissipating as Echo's forehead drops to the sand a deep growl forming in the back of his throat.
...It sets in now, that Echo was truly a lucky one, not everyone can find the freedom in the wind that he has...not everyone can survive the scorn.
He might very well be alone.
In his eye the Sharingan activates before an ache suddenly hits Echo, running from his chest to his eye, the three tomoe form twist and then conjoin before splitting apart again..the form of a compass being reflected in his eye as the pain of loss subsides.
"Leave me." He says in a clear order as he stands up once more and turns his back to the ANBU Operative "Now."

Rat's heart skipped a beat, he immediately formed a handsign and body flickered away faster then he had ever run in his life. He had delivered the message and fulfilled his duty entirely. With adrenaline pulsing through his veins, and a possible scent of shit in his pants, Rat left Echo to grieve over the loss.

Echo shaking in a strange type of rage, inadvertently summons the blade Caliburn in his right hand a strange serenity flowing through him as he grips onto the keepsake from his Mother..he sighs in acceptance and vanishes in a blur of speed..leaving the sight of Suna before the demons rage becomes to much for him to contain in his state.
