Lunch be missing (Solo, Mission)

Rin's eye were closed as he was listening to the wind. His hair moving with the flow. He has sitting on one of the highests buildings in Hidden Mist and leaning on a wall. He was in the middle of his village but there was nobody around. The common rabble was way down and he could hardly hear them. The boy was here left alone with only with the wind. And it was a company he liked. Normally by this time he would train, but today he decided to train his mind. Rin was sitting like this for a good few hours unbothered. But suddenly he heard a familiar screech. The boy opened his eye and looked above him, where he saw a messenger bird doing circles. Probably there was a message for him, or an assignment. Well, usually to deliver low level assignments weaker birds were sent and this one was no such bird. Instead of coming down to him the bird dropped something. It looked like a scroll, Rin caught it and the bird flew away. As he opened the scroll he found both a message and an assignment in there. Apparently the one writing him was a Jounin responsible for rank up of genins. To cut it short he wrote that Rin has proven himself capable of becoming Chuunin. All those high ranked missions and he has done a lot of lower ranked ones too. But it seams there was a set number of missions one has to perform if he is to advance in rank in such a way. And Rin needed only one more. So the Jounin added a C ranked assignment to his letter. If Rin completes it, he would advance to Chuunin rank.

This was more than enough to motivate the boy to drop his meditation and set of for a mission. Normally he would do any missions given to him anyway. But this was a special mission - a last mission he would do as a Genin! Rin stood up and looked down bellow him. He did not see the ground through all the fog. He'd prefer a decisive jump, but since he had no idea what was down there, he better take longer but get down safer - by using Tree Climbing. On his way down he read the mission details. It looked familiar. Basically he had to look around, ask some people, do some snooping around and find out who is stealing food from everybody. Easy task. Once he got down he made his way to the market place. There were a lot of people here - someone must have seen or heard something. Rin was asking at almost every shop. This was not the first time he was trying to get intel in here, so by now he already had some idea of how some of the shop keepers respond, who is helpful and who is not. He got a lead quite quickly. A guy who recently got food stolen from him said he didn't know who the thief was, but he might know who knows. After offering a little bribe Rin was able to get the name and where to find him. It took less than ten minutes to get to the guy. The catch phrase was "See this forehead protector? Want me to beat you do death, or will you tell me who it is peacefully?" And after that it was over far too quick. The guy told him everything he needed to know and in next 20 minutes the house where the thief lived was swarming with guards. Rin joined the little crusade just to see the fruits of his labor.
