Valpula's set of B ranked missions

Task: Someone has reported that a civilian is going to attempt to suicide by jumping off a cliff near the village, stop him by any means, just be sure that he remains alive.



Somebody who tries to take their own life is somebody that should not be at all allowed to live to begin with in Valpula messed up head. He notices all of these people saying that the suicide is not the way to go and that we should all be the best people in the world and save them, but not Valpula. He is not one to go and tell people that they should be saved. If he could he would allow each and every person that wanted to die the ability to die because if they do not want to live on this earth then they are not important. They don’t want to help Valpula or any ninja for that matter to their goals like they should. They are not leaders, they are not followers, they are not human, and they are scum of the earth. Valpula remembers a story about a man who committed suicide a long time ago that his father told him:



“It was something that was more disgusting than a lightning ninja. He was dreadful and went through a procross that included chopping off all of his fingers, arms and toes one after another. Before the ninja who were going to get there to save them. He had used his teeth to take a kunai that was modified and slit his throat through and through. It was a painful process and I was the one trying to convice him not to. He was a fool son, he was a fool that paid the price he was willing to pay because he felt that he had nothing else to live for. Good riddance to him and the things that he did to the village. HE was smart and good and loved by all so when he died the hearts of millions sank with him into the depths of his defiled grade. WE all got over the fact that he killed himself and moved on, if they try to tell you to stop them with words, they being the sand village or anywhere in the world you do not help them. Now go get back to work on the puppet that you are trying to make even if it is a piece of shit.”



That was not going to be the case for Valpula this time. If he was walking by somebody like that he would have headed home and never thought about it ever again, but it was B ranked mission that he could do and he was going to do it. For a while now the sand ninja had been trying do several B and A ranked missions so he could do things more, like make more puppets and do better missions to get more ryo to make more puppets. He saw somebody that was trying to jump off a sand mound to the pit over in the desert on his way back from another mission and he did just that. Instead of just walking home he used his amazing speed to go to the man and pick him up with his hands by his legs. Valpula was not that strong so it was a challenge, but it was something that needed to be done for his own promotion. Saving a life in the sand village was considered a B ranked mission, so by doing this Valpula would be given the chance to do more B and A ranked missions because of it. Sure enough Valpula went to the ninja office, receive a reward, and was told to come back tomorrow for a B ranked mission.

To be honest Valpula would not want to be in the sewers at all if it was not for money to motivate him. After the large purchased that he had made on his other puppet he needed the Ryo and he was not afraid to do some work to do it. He thought that it could be more glamorous than what he was doing but what he had to do was what he had to do. Although he was not happy with the situation at hand he was thankful that he the ability to do the mission. When he got back to the sand village late the night before he noticed that the leaders of the village were impressed with his work no doubt because of the progress that he made earlier. Although it was not his style to save a live not worth saving he was doing it for other motivations than saving the man’s life. The man was an old man that he no care for anything other than the carrots that he had made on the borders of the village. When he was not getting the carrots that he needed the village took his land away from him and he thought that giving up on life would be the best way for him to get rid of the grief that he had about it. He was not happy with anything anymore and right before the sand ninja of no emotion came and saved him he would have jumped into a pit and left in the desert to die. He did it for the Ryo because he knew that was the most important thing right now, without ryo he could make the puppets he needed to make, and without puppets he was not worth anything at all. He also did it for the promotion to other B, A, and possibly S ranked missions in the village. With the ability to do so in his grasp he found that saving the man’s life would be the best way for the village to get the attention back on to the young genin. Valpula did not care that he was in the village sewers looking for something that may not be there, but more importantly he cared about doing something for ryo. He was not getting the Ryo he needed for this mission at all and that was troubling to him. He thought that maybe he would get more from the mission but only 600 Ryo was said. There was something that his father once told him that came back into his mind for a few minutes after entering the dungeon that was the sewers.



“My son, remember that I your father am one of the strongest ninja in the world and in the sand village because of the work that I do. As my son you will be tortured and destroyed time and time again because of me because you need to be strong and powerful. You are weak and in order to be a puppet master you need to do things that will not be required by other people to do. You will have to go on dangerous missions that may risk your life for the sand nation, or you will die trying. However when the sand nation gives you a mission that you may not enjoy you will do it and you will like it so you can learn to be the best ninja in the world. Understand?”



For a second he assumed that the sand village was going to use him to get the missions that they did not want to give other ninjas him to do because they did not like him, but that may have not been the case at all. When he got down the sewers that day it only took about ten minutes down there to realize that a camp of ninja had taken up camp there and were going to try to take over the village one day. He overheard it all and found that there were too many of them for Valpula to handle at this point. This was a discovery he needed in order to do other missions that were above him. All he needed was proof to show that there were ninjas camped here. Using his skills of the dark he found that he was able to get a piece of paper that gave the names of the ninjas that they needed to target and kill signed by the brotherhood of the nations. He did not care what the origination was or what they were after but they needed to be stopped. He went back to the head quarters of the village and gave the information to the head ninja there, they were happy with the evidence and gave him the ryo for his efforts, then told him that he would be going on an A ranked mission so that he could have the rank of Chuunin.

Soon enough the missions that he was going to do were coming to him. There was tension in the air, there was certainly something going on with the Kazekage and the higher ups of the village. There were rumors that Azaiyo, the deputy Kazekage of the sand village, the last member of some legendary clan in the sand, had some problems with the fire nation. HE came back and said nothing, but due to the unreliability of the Kazekage he would become the new leader of the sand. Vapula had little care for the sand village; they did little for him while he was incapacitated and still have done little for him. They should have been more gracious to him because of his parent’s lineage but for some reason they were not. It might have been something that they did that the sand village did not like, perhaps dying too early in his life. IT was shocking to Vapula to find this information out, but no matter, he would be leaving the village soon to either go to another village or to travel on his own. For the time being what needed to happen was that the money was the only thing that mattered and his affiliation to a village was unimportant. Vapula work up early to get the mission started and begun to read the summary of what he was going to do. Although he thought that it was going to be hard it actually was going to be real easy. The mission was simple in Vapula’s mind, although there were many words and precautions that he had to take the way that he could do them would be really simple. Although it was a B ranked mission it was something that could be competed and had to be completed for the sake of the sand village and the fire nation. It had been a few days since Vapula had gotten back from his last mission because he needed to take some time off to work on his next puppet. It was going to be a fast moving machine that could destroy people just because of its speed and nothing more. Although the puppet was still in the developmental stages at the time it was still important to make sure it was ready for when he finally got enough money. This was going to be the time it looked like. As he was walking through the village he found out that his mission could hall in a lot of cash for this mission, because the mission was deal with the missing ninja inside of the village trying to destroy it. This was an ongoing mission that Vapula wanted to destroy for the money that it could bring him. Destroying organizations would mean that all the money that they made would go to the ninjas of the village, and that would mean a lot of money for Vapula who would be the one to destroy it. He would assume that the missing ninja around and inside the village were planning something big and headquarters of the ninjas did not know what they were going to do. Although something was clear about their intentions, which was that they were going to get money for their time to take the village for themselves, no matter they were going to be taken out, and the first thing that they were doing was using animals to fight in the underground to get money on underground gambling.

With some information that they received from a captive of the organization Vapula was able to find out exactly where the camp was. This would the camp where they were hiding all the exotic animals, ranging from tigers to the south, birds to the north, and bears from the forest in the fire nation, for their fights, without them they cannot do fights, and that means that their source of revenue would be gone. There would be no way for them to make money from inside the city which means less of them they would have to deal with inside the village. This mission was of upmost importance, and the leaders of the village thought that with Vapula’s knowledge of the organization and his motivation for money this would be the perfect mission for him to do. With everything ready for his mission Vapula went to the desert and begun to go over to the mission. It was in the desert and was going to take about 10 days for this mission to be complete, and that meant that there was going to be a lot of time for him to think over what he needed to do for his next puppet. This mission was going to be done alone for the time being. As he walked through the desert he had to stop in a cave for some time to wait for a sandstorm. He did not like having to wait, but it was good to have some time to work on his puppet. Once the sand storm was over he was only about 50 meters away from the location of the hidden animals and he found that the camp was sparling with so many animals. There was no way that Vapula was going to be able to get all of them in one trip, not even 15 trips would be able to get them all. So Vapula knew that the best thing to would be to kill all the guards and wait for a few nights, killing anybody else that came into the camp, and then calling for reinforcements later. Vapula waited for nightfall so that he could have the advantage, and then with amazing speed and accuracy he was able to use his dispenser puppet to destroy all the missing ninja and thugs in the village. All Vapula had to do was wait until all the campfires were out and then throw the scroll holding his puppet into the middle of the camp. Once the dispenser was summoned he was able to quickly aim all of his kunai at each of the five guards. 6 for each of them, one of each would be aimed for their head, two would be aimed for their stomach, and the 3 would be aimed for their legs. Three of the five guards would be killed instantly because he did not have the ability to react fast enough. The other two, clearly missing ninja of C rank or above would be able to dodge all the kunai and come straight for the newly appointed Chuunin. Although they were fast to react to the kunai they were not fast enough to handle Vapula in the night. He was faster than they were and could react quickly to their moves and actions. Meaning that all of their attempts to get him were useless against the chuunin, then that would tire them out, and after a few moments Vapula would react again. With his dispenser ready to fire again Vapula would fire 30 kunai at each of the missing ninja. They would have nowhere to run and would find that they were surrounded by kunai. Each of them died in an instant with every part of their body impaled by the kuani. With that part of the mission completed he went into the camp and picked up all of his kunai. Cleaned and sharpened he put them back into the dispenser but noticed that another ninja was trying to sneak up on him. With the kunai still out of the puppet Vapula took one kuani back out and waited for him to strike. Not aware of Vapula’s own abilities he waited about 2 hours to come and get him by surprise. Vapula would easily be aware of the ninja and would quickly dodge his kunai throw and charge with a ninjato. His speed was fast and deadier than the other ninja. Still he was not fast enough to beat Vapula’s amazing speed and he would end up killed when the sand ninja dodged the attack and slit his throat. The ninja would fall to the ground and end up dead on the floor. Once that was completed Vapula decided to wait for the morning to begin walking back to the village. He put his puppet back in his scroll and began to see just how many animals this organization had. There were hundreds of them and they all looked like they had several beating on them from all the fights that they had won, and all the fights that they had lost. No matter. In the heat of the desert most would die of starvation and mal nutrition, so when morning arrived he went back to the village and told the leaders of what had happened. A team of ninja had been sent out with the sand genin to take the animals back with him, and once that was completed Vapula would get his money for doing the mission, almost successfully, as half of them died by the time the team arrived

As Vapula was walking back from his last mission along the deserts of the sand village he found out that one of the mission leaders was going to try to defect from the sand nation. Although it was not for sure exactly what he was planning or why he was doing it was clear that he was going to. When the group was back at the mission headquarters Vapula overheard the chuunin talking about running away from the village, it was a short but revealing conversation.
[A few hours ago.]
Vapula walked through the headquarters looking for a sharpening tool to fix some of his kunai that had become blunt from the last mission. The village had often had a problem with finding the sharpening stones needed to make the kunai sharp as of late and it was beginning to be a problem. When he found one it was right next to another room in the headquarters where they were supposed to be planning exactly how they wanted to go about doing the mission. He heard that the chuunin was going to defect there. The walls of the sand village are not very strong and
“So are you really going to do it? I mean the village has done a lot for you and your family over the past few months, helping you with ryo and giving you the resources to help raise that child of yours.” The second in command of the village group said.
“I will, there is nothing that you can do that will change my mind and there is nothing that you say that will sway me back over. It will be when that blind kid is not looking in the night. I will slip out of the ranks and it will look like he was trying to take over the mission and killed me in the process. It is full proof. The leader chunnin ninja said in response to him.
“Well arlight then, good luck in everything that you do and I hope that you come back to the village soon.” The other ninja said to him. IT was a saddened tone as if he wanted to go with him or something. The two must have had some close encounters together in the past and they grew close in the process. He knew everything about his family and the struggles that they were up against so it must have been an important person in his life. After a few more minutes of unimportant chatter the two of them left the room and went on with their lives. Although it was a small conversation, it showed that the leader was going to pin his defection on Vapula, the sand chunnin for some reason or another. Although Vapula, if he was any other ninja, he would have gone up to him and confronted him about it. But not Vapula, he did not care anymore about the well beings of others, and if he wanted to defect from the sand village Vapula was not going to stop him from doing it. Then when he said that Vapula was going to be responsible for it, Vapula did not care about that either. He had little worry for his rank in the village except for the prospects of money, of which he could just get with doing missions that were C and D ranked. After a few more minutes of thinking about what the two ninja in the other room had said Vapula left the room that he was in and went outside to finish his previous mission.
When the ninja arrived at the village gates to start the mission anybody who did not know what the head ninja was going to do would have not known that he was doing so. He was cool, calm, and collected about the mission at hand. Not even his facial features, body language, or the way he talked showed that he was trying to defect. Even when he wanted to talk to Vapula about things, it was as though it was business as usual for him, and when he left the village gates with the rest of the crew he hugged and kissed his little girl and wife, presumably for the last time in his life, but doing so as if he was going to be back soon. He did not know what emotions were coming from the man because of it, partially because Vapula could not recognize any of them because of his emotionless being, but also because he was such a good actor in Vapulas mind that he would not be able to read him. It was a strange feeling, but something that would be interesting to understand in the future. Vapula wondered the village gates for a moment more to see if anything else needed to be, talked to the leader of the group to see what he was thinking about the mission, and then went to one of the leaders of the village to tell him about the mission and what they planned to do. As always instead of giving the ninja a verbal report of the matter he wrote it out and gave that letter to him. What was one the letter was as follows:

To the leaders of the sand village and any person who is required to read this notice about the mission that we are about to embark.
Upon receiving information from an operative of the criminal organization inside of the Suna, the village hidden the sand, we found out that group was doing underground animal fights to get money. Although the fights were well known around the scum of the village many people did not know exactly where they were unless they got an invitation to it from a leader of the organization. Although we could nnot find the location of the fights we could find out where the stored the animals that they used to do the fights with, meaning that if we could take out the animals we could take out the fights, and doing so would take out the ninja’s possibility to destroy the village. Although the ninja of the group are mostly unknown we know that their intentions include taking over the village by first taking over the village’s economy, then taking over the leaders by taking them out one by one with the money that they received to get influence over ninja with bribes and other ways of manipulation. It has also become clear that they already have some high ranking members of the sand village that they can manipulate. The person that we used to get the information from was one of our Jounin and was about to be Anbu status in a future. It shows just how much influence this organization has and the reasons why the sand nation should get rid of them. Adding to the knowledge we have is with the information that we had received from the earlier missions that ninja had done for the village we found that the games that they were doing held their animals out the village, getting them in here Via secret tunnels underground, ones of which we were able to take out accordingly. Although that was done they still could hold the games inside of the village for some reason so we knew that we needed to take more drastic measures.
Now a team of ninja is going to destroy the place where they hold the animals for their games. Earlier Sand ninja were able to find the location of the camp and get into the facility, killing the ninja that were guarding it. Without the animals they can no longer do games and their source of income will be destroyed. Although we may have destroyed the ninja that were there we still need to destroy will have sent other ninja there to guard it, not only that but they will have probably moved the camp, but knowing the abilities of the ninja it could not have happened completely yet. Now a team of ninja is going to find the new camp, destroy the ninja that were guarding it, and take the animals back to the sand village for our investment and further use.
This mission will be completed for the glory ad power of the fire nation and the sand village. WE hope that no ninja of ours will be harmed by it in the process but what can be said and done about it. Ninja die every day and I know that neither the leaders of the village nor the leader of this group can argue against the fact that a few ninja will be lost on this mission.

This is the way that he told his letters to the leaders of the fire nation and his officers. He did not want to use his name for any of the achievements that he did or his missions. He did not want to show off what had been done by him nor did he want him to be recognized for it, he did not want the attention brought to him, but it still was for some reason because of what the head ninja of the group said. He wanted him to take the blame for defecting which meant that either he had something against the actual ninja himself (Vapula) of he had something to do with his parents. If it had something to do with Vapula himself it meant that there must have been something that slipped through the sand ninjas mind when he was filling out his report. Maybe he said something that maybe other people would notice but Vapula, seeing as though he did not show nor know how to control his emotions could have said something that made them come out. Although this was something that would have been the reason why it was not likely, Vapula had made sure that he wrote and looked over his reports several times before he gave them to the leaders of the village. The other option was that the ninja hated Vapula for his parents, something that seemed a bit more obvious. His parents had done several things for the sand village while they were alive, giving them the tools that they needed to defeat some of the most prominent enemies of the village with ease, because no matter how strong a person may be they cannot survive that poison that they don’t have the antidote for. His parents were ruthless and were the reasons for thousands of deaths in the world, taking the rewards and splendor from it as their own, and using the support of the higher ups of the village to do some great feats. The only problem was that even though you want to become great you have to work hard for it, defeating many people to do it, and often his parents did that. They did not play honestly or truthful; they lied, manipulated, and killed people of the sand village for it, and made several enemies inside of the sand village. That is probably the best reason as to why the village ninja that was going to defect wanted to destroy Vapula. He might have had a friend or a family member that was destroyed by Vapulas parents.
As the ninja Caravan was moving through the sand village and through the deserts of the fire nation Vapula noticed the second in command, the one that the chuunin defecting was talking to, getting tense about the whole situation going on, although they had no danger in front of them at the moment, and because of it many other people began to feel tense for no reason at all. When asked about it by some of the other ninja in caravan he put it off as something that he saw in the sand, but to Vapula it was clear what he was doing. Vapula knew that the ninja was scared about what the leader was going to do. He was probably thinking of ways that the two could get out of this if they failed and the dangers that they have knowing and doing this. Although it was something it was not enough for Vapula to confront the leader of the mission team because he was such a good actor, he would say that he was making assumptions that were not true, and then use that as the way to get Vapula to get out of the village so right now they just shrugged it off for now.
As the mission progressed and the people got to the camp that Vapula found he knew that the ninja were getting close. The camp was nearby and they could find the foot prints of the people that moved the camp. After about an hour of searching the team found the missing moved the animals and camp to another canyon of the desert. It was small and without the knowledge of the other camp it would be almost impossible for anyone to find it. It was easy to defend and easy to move the animals into it. In the camp there were about 10 ninja, Vapula knew that the ninja of the team would be able to take them, and then led the team into the camp. With an instant Vapula threw the dispenser into the middle of the camp, and just like last time, he shot out kunai to the ninja, 3 to each ninja, and with that about 4 of them had died. The last 6 were aware of the presence of the ninja and begun to attack, in the commotion of everything Vapula was able to prepare his puppet to take out two more of missing ninja, with the rest of the team getting taken by the other ninjas of the team. Then as the group was cleaning up what was going on was when the ninja was going to make a run for it. He threw a kunai at one of the ninja of the group when he was preparing to take one of the animals back to the sand village. Because the ninja was not expecting the attack he would die instantly, the group would become flustered, and the lead ninja would try to run. Vapula had quickly put his puppet back into his seal and ran for the ninja. It was dark and Vapula would have the advantage. The desert was deadly to people without lights, and with that Vapula would still be able to see the ninja and everything around him. After about a few hours of being on the tail of the missing ninja he stop and tried to fight Vapula. He threw a kunai in the direction of the sand chuunin and Vapula would easily dodge it and go the opposite direction. In a burst of speed Vapula would go to the missing ninja and with his amazing speed would kill the missing ninja.
