Vapula's set of D Ranked missions

Valpula was on a roll with missions today and decided that he was going to do another mission to patrol the sand village for any people that needed to be apprehended. He knew that one of the higher up ninja of the sand had done some terrible things apparently and he needed to be destroyed as soon as possible, although Valpula was in no way shape or form ready to destroy such an horrible opponent he knew that he could be sending in missing ninja to come do his dirty work for him. He checked areas where missing ninja would likely be in the village, near alleys or abandoned houses, but on his entire tour of duty he did not see one sign of missing ninja in the village. He noticed that this was a good way for him to look at the village that missed seeing because of him being in his coma, something that he noticed was a good thing for doing them. Although Valpula was not keen to doing missions for the village he knew that he needed ryo survive, noticing that if he did not he would not have food or any sort of income so he could survive in this world. After he went on his tour of the residential plazas and districts, not finding anything that would cause any sort of alarm he backtracked the same way that he came so he could see if he missed something earlier, knowing that he didn’t he went back to where he got the mission to tell the higher ups of his not findings, got his ryo for doing the mission, went home, and noticed how he just wasted about two hours of his day. Although he knew that he wasted time, he noticed that he did not care about it, and at least he got the ryo for doing it.

Valpula was not somebody that particularly enjoyed doing missions where he had to fight, there was much more of that he would be able to do on the battlefield, and all he wanted right now was the ryo to pay for his life and the creations that he would soon make to replace the people that he had lost in his life. He decided that he would dress up as an civilian and try to have the thief come and steal something from him. As they knew who the thief was and how he acted, they just did not have any evidence to put him into jail. The thief was a good at what he did but he was not a ninja, so he was relatively weak in comparison to Vapula.
When it was time Valpula stood at the corner of a under crowded street and waited for the man to arrive, because this was one of the locations that he liked to forcibly takes people’s money. After a few hours sure enough the man did come. Valpula was ordered to allow the man to take some ryo from Valpula (which would be paid back to him) in order to get the evidence that they needed. Headquarters thought that since Valpula had been in the hospital for a few years nobody would know that he was a ninja and the thief would find him as easy prey. Sure enough after a few minutes the man pulled a knife out and told Valpula to give him all of his money. He did so and the man left. With the information that he got the man would almost certainly be taken into custody within the hour, Valpula’s mission would be a success, and the ryo would be returned to him plus the ryo for the mission would be given, an event that occurred just like it was said.

On his way from a custom patrol from Konoha and back to Suna the leaf asked if Valpula could do a mission for them as they were relatively low on ninja in the village that would be able to do the mission. This would be something that would give Valpula the chance to get some relations with the leaf. Although he could care less about what the village hidden the leaf thought about one of the sands lowly genin, but he noticed how the fire nation was now on lockdown for the time being and he thought that it would be good for him to at least get to know some of the people in the village. He found that he was going to be moving businessman from the hidden leaf to the sand village so he could do some work. He was a young man only a few years older than Valpula was, but from what he learned about him he was one of the best merchants in the entire fire nation for some reason. Valpula would meet the man and not say a word, knowing that merchant would know and realize that the person that he was looking at was the ninja that was going to escort him. They began their journey early in the morning and then began; since he was young they did not have to take many breaks during the trip, although it was going to take a few days to get there at walking speed.
Along the journey the man tried to get valpula to speak to him about things, trying to get some conversation with the sand ninja, but Valpula opted not to speak, and thinking that if the man said something that was important to discuss he would talk to him. That did not occur until they were only about half a day away from the sand village. He talked about poisons that he had gotten from the sand village, which meant that he may have known his parents. Even though they were dead some of their poisons were still being used and sold by the sand village to other villagers in other nations.

“Did you know any person from the Yi clan?” Valpula said to the man

“No.” he said in a stern tone back to the boy. Valpula would think that this kind of response would trigger and emotion of sadness and despair, but he felt nothing, which was ok for Valpula now, his parents were dead and gone, and there was no need for him to have any feelings over it. After just a few more hours of walking the two had reached the hidden sand village with just those words spoken, taking him to the local inn that he was going to stay at for the time he was here. Valpula took the ryo that was required and pocketed it, going to the hidden sand village headquarters to tell that the mission was a success, and then going back to his house to work on his creations of puppetry.

Valpula was not one that cared about the animals in the world, the one that were cute and furry, nor the ones that feisty and evil. He had it his own way all the animals in the world would be gone from it, not causing any problems for this real people in the world. Valpula had hoped that one day he could go out into the world and find that all the animals had been hung on the walls and mantles of hunters and poachers alike, dead from people taking them for their rarity and hides, so that when Valpula would go out of his house there would be not only bug trying to get into it, not one small critter trying to get in his way, or not a lion trying to kill him while on a mission. He noticed that although it was something that he wanted to have happen it would not at all, he was not angered or saddened by that reality, but he was just stoic about the whole thing. When it came to missions and other things that he had to do while in the village he knew that most of the missions he would be doing for the first month of being out of the hospital would be just D ranked missions and nothing more. The ninjas who were in charge of this city did not want for Valpula to overextend his abilities one time and find himself killed, they had invested a lot into his survival by keeping him alive in the hospital for so long, and he was more of an investment now than a ninja. Until he proved his worth by successfully completing missions and things of that sort he would still just be a genin that barely passed the exams. Valpula understood where they were coming from and did not care the caliber of the missions that he got, he only cared that he got money for doing them, which he was racking up the cash for doing the missions that so many others did not want to do.

Valpula then entered the house of the old woman who needed help getting her cats down from a tree because she was too old to do it. The cats liked to go up into the tree from time to time getting away from their master for some reason. Valpula could care less, the woman pointed to the tree where her three cats were and one by one he would go up in there, pick it up and place it back into her house in a cage so they did not try to escape. The mission was over in a matter of minutes and the woman was happy to have her cats back. Although Valpula got a bit scratched from the mission he could not feel the pain from it, he got the ryo for doing the mission, and then went back to the headquarters to report in that the mission was a success.

Valpula was not somebody that cared for art in the least amount of the word. The only thing that he thought was a work of art was his puppets and that was just the loosest definition of the word. He thought that art in the form of pictures and buildings and other things of that sort was a waste of time and money, thinking that the ryo and resources could be used for something else, but Valpula could care less what the village and its people were doing with their money, as long as he got the ryo that he needed for doing missions that was all that he wanted. Valpula saw on the mission boards that work of ‘art’ was stolen from the one of the richest people in the village, knowing that the man would pay anything to have the piece back he was willing to put up almost everything else as ransom for the piece, and Valpula was not going to allow that to happen. If anything he was going to be the one that got ryo for completing the mission, not some low life thugs who tried to take things without much sense in doing it. All of the thieves were stupid in taking the art and showed their faces while doing it. They were not ninjas in the least bit but they were good at stealing things. The only problem was that they were plagued with emotion that could not urge their desires. Valpula found that desire was bad for a ninja before his coma, but now he could care less because he could not feel it.

Drink was the best way for a man to drown their sorrows or aggrandize their victories, it was not something to do lightly, however, and these men did just that. After they stole the picture the three thieves all got drunk, thinking that people could not follow them back to their hideout. Valpulas mission was to take the painting back so when the thieves were taken out they could not destroy the painting. Since they were all passed out from the drink Valpula was able to quickly sneak into the location where they were hiding and take the painting, and ugly piece that showed no emotion to Valpula, out of the way. Afterwards Valpula to release a signal to show that the ninja to take them down were ok to go in, which they were in a matter of seconds from Valpula going in, and that, would mean that Valpula’s mission was a success in all count of the word. Although he wanted to get the ryo that he deserved now he decided that it was too late to go all the way across the village to get it, opting to take the painting to the man first. He was grateful and gave the ryo for the painting being returned to Valpula. The next day he would go to the headquarters and report what happened to the painting and show that the mission was a success.

Valpula knew that the only reason for him to do anything for the village was the idea that one day he could have enough ryo to make all the puppets in the world that he needed to in order for him to survive. It was something that Valpula prized himself in doing one day having all the puppets in the world so that nobody could beat him. Ever since he coma passed the only thing that he knew was his goal in life was to find a way to get the ryo and the resources necessary to become the greatest puppet master in the world, finding a way to beat out even the ones of old. He would do anything that he needed for him to get that completed, so if that meant that he had to go back to one of the places that he hated most in this world then so be it. The people that worked and trained the individuals in the academy were the worst professors Valpula thought that he would have had, because not one of them tried to find a way for Valpula to get genin, they just told him that he needed to waste another year before he could test out again. Valpula did this over 6 times in his life, for reasons that the people at the academy did not even try to understand, and did not give Valpula even a chance to explain him. For all the times that Valpula failed the exam it was because he had to do work for the people who gave birth to him. Being the best ninja when it came to poisons his parents often worked with some of the most dangerous materials in the world, knowing full well that they could lose their lives because of it, which they did eventually, and they had their son work with them daily. There was no time for Valpula to learn the jutsu that he needed to because he was working on other things that were more important, like keeping him alive from poisons, but Valpula could care less at this point. All that mattered was the now and he noticed that he needed to spend time with academy students. He took the three students out to the field and Valpula told them one word, “Train.”, he said to the students. Taking a kunai out and throwing it at target, even with one eye. Valpula noticed that the message got across so he left, going back to headquarters to report in, and get home.

Valpula was not one that wanted to clean up after other people, he could not think why he would have to do something like that in a village that is full of ninja that should care about, but Valpula did not care because all he wanted to get from it was the ryo that he deserved. He knew that he was getting close to having enough prestige in the village to go and do some C ranked missions soon, and he was happy that was going to be the case in a bit. He noticed that although he did not care if he did just D ranked missions for the rest of his life, he knew that he would need the money from C ranked missions more. That was the one thing that was driving him to do more for the village, he felt as though he needed to do it in order to get more ryo, and if the ninja in the headquarters think that he was still not ready to go on a C ranked mission then he was OK with that, all he cared about was that one day he would be able to. Over the past few weeks he had done many D ranked missions for the village, doing them first before others tried to take them from him, or doing the ones that he could do because he was not in a team of genin with others. HE went to the location where he was told to go do the mission, cleaning up an alley full of garbage and things of that sort and was done within 20 minutes of starting it, and going back to headquarters to report another successful mission. Once he got back he got his ryo and went home after a long day of work to build his creations more.

Valpula was out near the border of Konoha and Suna doing some routine patrol along the borders trying to see if any missing ninja or people that would be against him would be there trying to come into the sand, he knew that there was a possibility of that happening, but what he found was just supplies that looked like those from a sand villager. He saw that the group was probably building a house along the borders to be alone without the rules and regulations of the village on them. Valpula understood the people’s intentions and followed the footprints in the sand of where they were. Valpula knew that in case of the sandstorm the group would just have to go inside of a cave so that they could be protected and that it should not be far away. Sure enough after a few hours of searching he found the cave he was looking for only a few miles away from the site of construction. Valpula knew that some of the items in the area were valuable because of the prices still on the stickers on it. He knew that there about 2000 ryo worth of supplies in that small basket full of tools, paints, wood, nails, clay, water, and other things. When he got into the cave he found that the group was actually a merchant guild trying to make a border shop so people could spend the night there before going out into the desert to suna or going to back into the forests of konoha. It was a good location and highly guarded by both nations, so Valpula was interested in how they got such a prime location on the borders, but they did not answer. They had papers that were authentic so he could not arrest them, so he gave him the supplies, they gave him some ryo for his efforts, and he went on his way back to suna. When he got back to the headquarters he found that the mission was actually a test to see whether or now Valpula was ready to go into the field doing some C and B ranked missions, which was something that would allow for him to progress to chuunin rank soon. Valpula understood his success and decided to go home to work on his puppets for the inevitable missions being more difficult. But as always, Valpula did not really care.
