The strength slammed into the stomach so hard, knocking the air from his lungs, that it felt as if Vergil had just been struck by a large boulder. He stumbled backwards clutching onto his stomach as he did so. He knew that by the end of this battle he would surely have a few bruises than none.

After a few seconds of recovering and catching his breath, he slowly returned back into his fighting stance, but it was a little off from the damage of the last blow. "You've been holding back on me." He said as he prepared for his next attempt to attack Xuro. I have a few cards under my sleeve though. Vergil said as he stepped back a few more meters. Preparing himself for his next move. He would remain still concentrating a little as the chakra flowed freely through his body. This was his first attempt at oppening the eight gates and he hoped he could open them sucessfully for this battle. Though he knew even with them he would still be no match for Xuro. "First Gate Open!" Vergil would say as he completed the technique. His hair turning spikey in the process.

With the first gate opened Vergil would charge at Xuro with a new found strength and charisma. Once Xuro was within range Vergil would attempt to perform the infamous 64 palms of their clan on Xuro.

Xuro would see vergil trying to recover from the punch to stomach. Xuro was holding back as he didn't want to really kill the boy and it was just a spar. He wanted to just have fun and mess around to see what potential this Hyuuga boy, Vergil has.

When the boy had recovered his breathe, he was ready for another round of attacking Xuro. But this time, however, the boy did something totally different. He said something about opening a Gate 1. Then Vergil's air began to change. It became spiky and suddenly his speed, strength etc got enhanced and he then ran at Xuro. Xuro would sense the danger as the boy increased his abilities and was preparing an attack. Xuro was still a bit confused as to what exactly the boy did. How did the Hyuuga become a lot stronger in such a small space of time. This intrigued Xuro a lot. He was really interested as to what the boy did. He had read about something to what the boy had done. Something about the eight inner gates or something. It suppose to be some sort of taijutsu technique that greatly enhances one's performance.

Xuro would quickly use his incredibly fast speed to jump back 10 meters and get away from Vergil as he didn't want to be caught in the boy's taijutsu. He then quickly raised out his left hand and then swung it in a vertical manner, "Beast Tearing Palm!" Shooting out 3 arcs once again. He knew that this jutsu is useful to keep Vergil long-to-mid range away from Xuro.

Vergil was just about to begiun his assault when 3 arcs of the wind nature rushed at him. Having no choice, but to retreat he negan to sprint off away from the arcs, his speed being advanced from before he was able to get away from them, quickly leaving them behind him. The technique Xuro used forced Vergil to stay at bay away from him. Just as he thought, it would be hard for him to defeat Xuro. Even with this new found strength he had. All he could do was try his hardest until the effects of his transformation ended.

Vergil starred at Xuro, their was a wild determined look in his eyes. He performed a single handsign and ducked. He then would attempt to sweep Xuro's legs from under him, with a fast slide of his legs.

Xuro would wait and see the hyuuga boy vergil dodging his arcs. His plan was working and he managed to keep Vergil a good distance away from him. Xuro would then see Vergil attempt a leg sweep. Xuro used his speed to jump up in the air and land 5 meters behind him, throwing 3 kunais at Vergil while he was in mid air. He had to keep his distance from the boy making sure that he doesn't get caught in Vergil's taijutsu.

As Vergil swept at the legs of Xuro, he lept into the air attempting to get behind Vergil. Vergil turned his body around quickly and watched as Xuro launched 3 kunai at him. Vergil moved his body away from where the kunai were, rolling on the glass as if he were a child. Vergil felt one kunai managed to nick him on his left cheek as he rolled away. Once he was out of danger from the kunai, he would stand up and begin to rush towards Xuro. As the blood from the small cut trickled down his face. He would attempt a sliding dive, his feet aiming to slam into Xuro's.

Xuro would see that his kunai had managed to cut vergil. Xuro got a bit over confident and didn't keep his focus on the fight. Suddenly he would see Vergil sliding with his feet aiming at Xuro. It was too close for Xuro to dodge and he didn't have enough to react since being he lost focus for a split second causing Vergil to successfully slide Xuro down. Xuro would then get up and slowly and then do 2 back flips getting 10 meters away from Vergil. He knew his senjutsu chakra was depleting so he needed to end his now quickly. If he couldn't finish it before Sage Mode ends, it will be harder for him to defeat Vergil afterwards.

Vergil's feet connected with the legs of Xuro, but it was not long before the Xuro got back up and flipped out of range from Vergil before he was able to attack again. Vergil watched as he now stood 10 meters away from him. Vergil began to pant his strength enhancements from the first gate were obviously depleting. He knew that by the end of this attack the first gate would be over. He began to charge towards Xuro while yelling loudly. Once he was near xuro he would leap into the air and kick downwards at the head of Xuro.

Whether or not this kick landed did not matter. For as soon as this action was done, Vergil would fall to the ground on one knee. His entire body would be aching all over. The pain would be excruciating, but he could not show this in front of Xuro. 'Is this the punishment for using the first gate?' Vergil would think to himself as he knelt on his knee.

Xuro would then be ready for yet another counter against Vergil and probably this time it will be the final counter. He waited for Vergil. As soon as Vergil began to run at him, he kept his left arm ready forming wind chakra around it. Once Vergil jumped in the air, Xuro would yell, "Beast Tearing Gale Palm!" and this time again he got Vergil in mid air with the demonic chakra claw. He then, unlike last time, flung Vergil a lot harder and smashed him into the ground. Xuro then afterwards would release the beast tearing gale palm and then soon after his eye color and the pigment that formed around his eyes faded away. Xuro panted heavily as the effects of his Sage mode meant major Stamina drain. While panting, he waited to see if Vergil was still ok.

Vergil was flung in the air like a rag doll. His body hit the ground making a loud thud, that could be heard around the forest. Vergil believed that the fall was painful, but he could not tell because his entire body was numb. Vergil sat up from the ground and looked towards Xuro. His vision was a bit blury, but he could tell that it was Xuro that he was looking at. He looked tired too. Suddenly a pain shot through the body of Vergil. As soon as he stood up. The pain was great and excruciating. Though he remained on his feet, unwilling to show his weak state in front of Xuro. From about 10 meters away Vergil shouted,

"Hey...I..I just realized I have to be somewhere...It was nice meeting you and I hope someday we can meet again, but this time the ending result will be different."

Vergil smirked as he said this. He then body flickered through the forest, heading back towards sunagakure to continue his training.
