Tenzo would stand infront of the monument,looking at it with an indifferent gaze in his eyes.The monument which was made to inspire awe and fear,inspired nothing in the ten.He never understood why people would be awed by it.It was just a bunch of steel carved to resemble a figure.Couldn’t even be used in combat,Tenzo was confused.Today had been a very hectic day for the Academy student.He had mastered multiple and then nearly got killed in a fight,before becoming friends with his opponent.Then he went back to training now he was here.Him finally making a friend unlocked some suppressed emotion.This was confusing him,that why he came up here.Ten would usually only come here when he felt lonely.Before that wasn’t a lot but now adays it felt like he was up here every other day.Tenzo would smile sadly before thinking about when he had been about when he had been abadoned.His memory of that day was very clear.
Flashback. 
Hold on baby I got you.His mother said as she ran through the woods.Holding a two year kid in her hands.She was running extremely quickly.On her forehead was a headband with the symbol of kiri crossed out.She was a short women with long flowing pink hear.And she wore standard jonin gear with a grey coat over her.She had small features and looked younger than she actually was.She was thirty years old.A sound similar to a scream could be heard as an a pitch black arrow ripped through time and space and rushed towards his mother.She dodged the arrow, barely but the attack still did damage to her even though she dodged it.She spat out blood a bit as she stumbled a little.Tenzo was crying wondering what was going on.His mother currently seemed to be making a decision as she ran silenty through the treetops.She looked down on at Tenzo before saying “I know youre a smart kid.Im going to fight these bad guys.I need you to run to the village as quickly as you can.”Tenzo would shake his head frantically he wanted to stay with his mother he was scared.She used a tree to jump into the air while throwing ten into the air.She went quickly went through some seals before a sea of flames were spewed from her mouth.She had also used shadow clone jutsu.Using one hand for each jutsu.The clone grabbed tenzo before running away with him.Tenzo would kick and scream he wanted to be with his real mother.Eventually he would grow tired and fall silent.After a while the clone stopped and looked at tenzo before shouting at him for him to leave.She puffed out of existance.Tenzo knew that meant his mom was dead.He started to cry again but he listened to the clone and ran for the gates of kiri.On that day he made a promise.A promise to find and kill his mothers hunter.Even if he destroyed himself to do so.Even if he had to walk that path alone a broken.This promise was stched into his very being.Flashback end.A tear silently fell of tenzo’s face as he remebered that day.He would look down in sadness and start crying without a sound.He would say in a soft voice.Why did you leave mom.
