The lab had a strange smell to it, always had. A metallic, clean smell. It reminded him of hospitals, without the pasty sick people. Sure, he was a medic, didnt mean he could stand people. He hated people, they always wanted something but never wanted to give something in return. It was always about themselves, never others. If they helped another, it was due to self satisfaction. It may have been a dark way to look at things, but it was still true. He had just finished sewing the body he had gotten from Shouten together. He glanced down at the body, frowning. The bone structure was so familiar, it was almost as if he was inspecting himself. Kuro's eyes shot wide open, shock easily noticeable on his face. This meant this man, who he had let die, who he easily could have saved... was related to him. He thought all his relatives were dead. He had let a cousin die... After he promised himself he would never let another of his family die, even if he had thought at the time they were all already dead. His vision blurred, tears in his eyes. It was one thing to kill without remorse, it was another to let a family member die when you couldve stopped it. He fell back, sitting in a chair sloppily. How could he have let it happen? Another of his family dead... He couldnt even blame Shouten for it. He had appeared to be on the side of Kiri, but Kuro knew better. "Another sin... another loss. Am I never meant to be happy? Must all I accomplish come with pain and destruction? At least I have Master still..." Many could claim Kuro was emotionless, but he was very emotional, just... very different. He could kill with a grin on his face, but he was very connected to his friends and family. Even though he had not known the man, since he was family, it was killer on his emotions. Kuro may have hated most people, but the love others held for other humans in general was all turned towards those he knew, making him so much more connected to family and friends. Aside from that, being family meant they were literaly a part of him.
Kuro let out a sigh, ending the tears. It was sad, but he had also promised himself long ago, no more tears. He cried so much as a child, but after his parents had died, he promised himself no more tears. He flinched in pain as his eyes began to burn, emotions so messed up at the moment. Contrary to popular belief, Kuro did have strong feelings for family. He believed family came first, above all. To have let one die was a sin, but compared to what Kuro had done before, it was nothing. He let his mother and father die from a disease, when he could have cured it. Kuro stood, walking towards the mirror. He had never felt this burning feeling before, so he wanted to know what had caused it. He knew from before that crying did not cause it, but perhaps after years of not using them, they had developed a new property, one he had never heard of. As he glanced in the mirror, he nearly fell over from shock. His eyes had changed, now into a strange black shape on a red background. The shape reminded him of a star, red with a black circle in the middle, on top of a larger, black star. On the outside of the star, there were the usual tomoe of a sharingan, but misplaced. To him, it was beautiful, a true masterpiece. He grined, laughing as his eyes faded back to normal. Well, they were still red, but those were his usual eyes. "This is certainly new... Ill have to do some research about this, perhaps Master's Father will know..." He shrugged that idea off, storing it for later, right now, he had to repair the body so he could finish. He hated that he had to use a family member's body, but a body was a rare thing, and the man certainly wouldnt be using it anymore.
He chuckled lightly, wiping what was left of the tears from his face. He may be a bit emotional when it came to family, but he was a scientist, and was definitely willing to put aside emotions for his experiments. He decided to turn to the other bodies first, though, they seemed more interesting. He used the tentacles of darkness on his back to place them on the table, before going over to inspect them. Kuro frowned. The main reason was the strangeness of three of the bodies he had brought back. The three had strange piercings all over their body, making it hard to determine why they had them, but even more so, why they needed them. Piercings usually made one weak to lightning jutsu, but these were strange in that they seemingly had their own chakra signature, making them different from any he had seen before. They were strange, but he would eventually understand their purpose, he always did. He frowned deeper though, still not getting what possible purpose the piercings could have. Perhaps they were the design of a uniform, meant to tell people who this specific person was. Though... he definitely would have heard about such an organization, one which sent four people to attack a kage, only to get hilariously killed by a shockwave from a bijuu. He frowned, feeling another burning sensation in his eyes. This was different, it felt.. older. He ran back to the mirror, fearing the worst. This time, he did fall over when he got there, seeing a ripple pattern, the one he had seen in that boy's eyes, the one who had died in his fight with the bijuu. He grinned. This was turning into one hell of a day. His grin lessened when he realized he had little to no information on either of the things he had gained today, but that would easily be remedied. Right now though, he had to find where his Master had gone, she might like to know what he had been doing lately. Hopefully she wouldnt closeline him into a wall again...
