Young Saiyans

Gohan can't help but laugh a little bit when his friend collides with the ground, failing at the technique and looking annoyed as he brushes himself off. To be fair, it was actually very impressive that Trunks had been able to do even that at such a young age. He walks over to his friend as the boy stands back up, preparing to try the technique again.

"Go easy now Trunks, it's a difficult technique to perform and I'm not sure if your power level can quite handle it just yet."

Gohan looks over at the sky now, taking note of the time of day and wondering if he should go and ask his father to teach him a few things. Still, he sticks around and keeps an eye on his friend for the moment to make sure he doesn't hurt himself too much with this next attempt.

Trunks sighs and pouts when he hears his older friend laughing, he shakes his head slightly before shrugging it off.

"So when do you think I can be strong enough to use it??" He asks his smile returning as he looks up towards the Teen Saiyan his fists raising slightly in an eager kind of excitement wanting to fly like he saw his Father do before...but not with the cats...

..He still doesn't quite understand the cats...

Where has his Father been anyway??

The young Saiyan is getting quite worried about his Father's well being...Oh well training is also important and his Father is the strongest so there isn't a real need too be worried.

Gohan shrugs and put his right hand behind his head again, rubbing it a little and smiling reassuredly at his younger friend.

"The way you're progressing? Really soon! You might even be able to figure it out by tomorrow if you keep it up."

He smiles again, deciding he has time to kill and maybe he too can attempt to master the technique while training with Trunks. Gohan stretches a bit more, reaching down to his toes and holding the exercise for a few moments before jumping up a bit more. His hands go to his sides again and he concentrates his Ki energy, creating a small aura that begins to emanate around him after holding it for a few moments.

"Let's try this again!"

Gohan leaps into the air, his feet glowing a blowing out with a blast of energy as he flies upwards about twenty meters. Almost immediately, his energy begins to fade out and he begins to fall back to the ground. He grabs at the air desperately, his eyes growing wide before he manages to angle his feet back towards the ground. With a great degree of focus, he fires off another burst of his energy, slowing his downward momentum toward the ground and allowing him to land on his hands and knees. This ungraceful landing throws up yet another large cloud of dirt, Gohan holding onto one knee and pushing himself up after he dusts off his clothing thoroughly.

"Not the best, but at least I got higher that time! Your turn Trunks."

The young Saiyan nods his head in agreement with the older Saiyan, he felt like it was rather easy to perform especially for one that's been drilled in Ki usage since the day he could walk, his Father is the strongest, therefore his son must be the strongest as well.

That is a Saiyans pride.

Bouncing on his heels for a few moments his mimics Gohan's movements in stretching before he leaps allowing the Ki to burst from his feet his lower reserves of course make it harder for him to reach the height of his older tutor but he comes somewhat close and the landing that his friend had beforehand prep him to brace his legs, as he's five feet from the ground he lets out another small burst of Ki his landing being cushioned only stumbling once due to the Ki burst disrupting his balance.

He grins wide at his partial success with the technique, he will need a lot more training if he's too keep up with the older boy...luckily the older Saiyan has no qualms about helping the Saiyan trainee in his training.

It is at somewhat of a shocking pace that his younger friend and partial student is able to quickly understand the fundamentals of the technique. At this point Gohan had gotten slightly bored of attempting to fly, and decided to attempt to use his energy for something else. By concentrating is energy and standing completely still with his hands at his sides, an envelope of Ki again began to thinly surround him. This time he wouldn't dissipate the energy just yet in attempting to fly though, instead opting to charge it and build for another trick.

Instead of his legs, Gohan planned to channel this energy through his hands into a projectile, sort of a Ki Blast like attack. A low hum began to emit around Gohan now, small bits of the ground rumbling slightly around him as the energy began to build. This charge would be the summoning forth of a large portion of his energy, and he would need almost everything he had in order to attempt this technique.

A fierce wind began to pick up over the hill, certainly a challenge of Trunks continued to attempt to fly, but not an obstacle he expected the courageous boy to back down from. As members of the Saiyan clan they were always striving for power and strength, and their ambitious training habits would not be slowed by poor conditions. Both boys had incredibly small pools of natural Ki energy compared to other members of their clan, but this trend would hopefully change soon as they attempted to power through their weaknesses with determination and conviction.

Gohan hunches over slightly, trembling a little bit as he feels the power he has to muster begin to flow through his veins and body. A small growl is given from his mouth through clenched teeth, the world around him fading out as he begins to channel a total concentration at the task at hand.

It is in the middle of the younger Saiyans newest attempt at flight does the wind pick up the silver haired youth glancing downwards as the harsh gales of wind throw him slightly off target the youth having to abandon the thought of Ki and instead tucks his knee's up to his chest his arms crossed and his body tense turning into a mini cannonball spinning in a counter clockwise motion.

The maneuver is used to slow his descent by going against the wind currents that are caused by gravity pulling him downward at a fast rate, his eyes are narrowed in concentration and once he is the proper speed and distance from the ground his body springs from it's coiled position his legs impacting the ground with a thud squatting slightly as the pressure braces against his back and lower part of his ankles and shins.

He stands a moment later glancing at his friend who begins gathering his Ki like he's seen his Father do a few times, he watches intently for a few moments noting the look of strain and concentration.

Glancing up at the sky while ignoring the pressure felt from the Ki and the rumbling of the ground he begins focusing an invisible wind seeming to swirl around his feet as his eyes close tense with concentration his brow furrowed.

His teeth grind themselves against each other as slowly but surely a white veil of incomplete Ki begins to form around the young Saiyan's frame.

This is a lower leveled Ki training exercise then the one the Chuunin is using, forcing Ki through his body with his level of skill would be dangerous, instead he is forcing it outwards in a steady pumping meant to heighten his concentration and bolster his reserves.

He's a bit disappointed to note his Ki is smaller then the older Saiyan's.

Gohan's concentration is not broken, but a slight glance towards Trunks makes him smile a little when he sees his friend perform a similar Ki Charging exercise. The veil around his friend is considerably smaller, but it still acts as somewhat of an inspiration to see the boy manifest what power he has. Somewhere in his head a part of him begins to cheer the boy on before he returns to thinking about himself, remembering that he too is in the middle of concentrating the same technique.

At this point enough energy has certainly been manifested. He could probably channel it to his hands right now and fire a blast with it, but why waste it so quickly? The idea crosses his mind that perhaps he could continue charging himself, allowing the Ki energy to build even further. Gohan's voice grows louder, the tremors within a meter radius of him causing a few rocks to rumble back and forth gently. The energy he emanates begins to take a flame like shape around the boy, and interestingly with some level or surprise, currents of lightning seem to jump through the air around him.

The power emitted from his form is still dull, and entirely insignificant when compared to either of the boy's fathers. Still, this marks a level of energy Gohan has never felt before, and a level of curiosity grows within him as he wonders how high he can build the natural Ki inside of him. His eyes close and his teeth grit harder as the energy builds, the atmosphere around him beginning to grow slightly thick. Eventually one of his eyes squint open from curiosity, looking over at his friend to see how he is fairing.

Flaring upwards is the aura of the Younger Saiyan as he forces his Ki to flow outwards at a higher rate in a bid to keep himself from buckling under the Older Saiyan's powers, growling in exertion his head tilts back so that his closed eyes may face the sky the aura of Ki brightening and expanding upwards with a roar of exertion as the grass around him starts too ripple and clubs of dirt and rocks raise from the ground around his feet.

His eyes open his eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he glares towards the sky the lightning striking around him surprising him slightly but not breaking his concentration, his roar grows louder as his energy rises visibly his teeth gritting in some slight exhaustion as his power grows the Ki flowing around him like a magnificent white ethereal flame dancing upwards and around the frame of the silver haired Saiyan youth.

From Gohan's perspective, his friend's power also seemed to be increasing exponentially. While neither of them had truly perfected the "Ki Charge" technique, they were able to manifest their natural energies outside of their bodies without much trouble. A considerable amount of time had passed now, and the boy perceives Trunks in a state of pure concentration as his power builds. A roar is heard from his friend as his energy visibly rises, his power growing so fast it gives Gohan pause for thought. The rate at which his friend is even charging his power seems to be faster then he is used to, the silver haired child exhibiting some level of exhaustion from his performance so far.

Gohan's energy itself flares upwards, and although by this point he had an intention to unleash a Ki blast, Trunks seemed to be putting on quite a show and now he didn't feel like quitting. Gohan had a much larger Ki reserve, and had been charging it for longer, but that didn't mean that both of their powers weren't considerable in this state. The yellow energy surrounding him flared higher, the tremors spreading outward not to a five meter radius, the energy now causing debris and rocks to float into the air. Strong lighting currents pulse through the atmosphere in his immediate area, the power he feels currently being more then he has ever felt before.

With such strength in his veins, and inspiration in his competitive Saiyan heart, he shouts out to his friend over the loud humming of their respective powers.

"Want to try blasting all of this power at each other?"

To any normal sensei or chaperone, this might normally be seen as an absolutely terrible idea. Gohan had been charging his energy for longer, and his power reserve was obviously much more defined. Still, his attack would be severely dampened if met with a well timed clash from Trunks, so the prospect remained interesting. The challenge was posed, and Gohan waits for his friend to respond, hoping for an acceptance and an excuse to finally use this incredibly energy he felt within himself.

Trunks blinking as he's broken from his state of concentration glances towards Gohan, he then notes the position of the sun and his eyes widen comically "Oh no! I gotta get home now before Mom has a fit!!" he says turning and dashing off throwing a wave over his shoulder with a rushed exclamation of "Bye Gohan!" he dashes off tearing down the mountain side at a considerable speed in order to get home before his set curfew his golden boots impacting the heavy set stone rapidly.

Dashing into the gates of Kumogakure he speeds past a bar with two broken walls...weird but not unheard of in this village..

And into the residential area.
