Re: The Aftermath [Private, NK]
Tue Feb 19, 2013 2:27 pm
Verbally torn apart by just a few words, it took Hisao a few moments to fully process what was just said. He tried to move his leg but he couldn't, it was physically impossible. The world was against him. His throat began to go dry as his mind reeled back onto the day of Suna's destruction. It was now that Hisao remembered. His parents had died to save him. He remembered his father lifting him up and throwing him out of the house as soon as it had begun to collapse, his mother screaming as well. He had tried to run from the house, so he did not have to remember the blood-curdling screams of his mother and father, he could still hear them. The sound of hope slowly being drained, along with life.
Snapping back from the flashback, his mouth slightly agape as it dawned on him. He was alone. This man had saved him, for what cause? He was an orphan. He had no purpose to live now. Looking up into the sky, Hisao let out a cry as tears began to stream down his cheeks, still being discernible despite the rain. The next time Hisao opened his eyes, they would be red with a single tomoe in the top right corner. This was what the curse of hatred was? The hatred of anything and everything for the loss of a dearly loved thing? So be it. Hisao could no longer control himself and so he acted on impulse, running as fast as his legs could carry him to the man that was sitting down before he tried to kick the man off of the roof. This was his fault for leaving him without purpose.

His back was turned, but the movement was expected. As the kick came forward Navi's form blurred, sitting in the exact same position except two meters to the left of before. A manuever so unbelievably fast and a product of raw speed that allowed him to dodge at the last possible nanosecond. It the boy began to tumble off the roof from momentum, then Navi could catch him, but for now he remained somewhat uninterested in the child next to him.
Losing your parents was difficult, and it clearly affected the boy for him to have gotten a Sharingan awakening from the ordeal. Navi himself had lost his entire clan, and was even forced to watch as most of them were slaughtered, but he should hold his cold-hearted standards to everyone else.
"I'm sorry Hisao," the man said, still staring out over the village with his back to the boy. A tiny fraction of Navi's consciousness was aware of the boy's movements should he attack again, but the rest of his mind simply dwells on the events of that occurred on the day of the incident.

The man was evidently speedy as he had seemed to have teleported to the untrained eyes of Hisao. In just a second things had went from bad to extremely bad as Hisao was now beginning to topple off from the roof; the excess momentum in his leg deciding to carry on off from the roof and dragging his body with it. So this was how it'd end, huh? Whilst falling, his hand stretched upwards and tried to clutch onto something, anything to try and stop his death, but alas he could not seem to find anything with his hand. He did however hear, "I'm sorry Hisao" which further made the boy believe this was all planned; just to make him die. He was unsure why, but in his childlike mind that's what he believed at that point in time.

Acting quickly, a single blue chakra thread bursts from Navi's fingertip, wrapping around the ankle of the falling boy and stopping his downward trajectory. The thread begins to reel the boy back upwards, a slow motion that finally ends with the boy being placed gently back upon the roof. Once he is safe, the thread disappears, Navi's gaze never leaving the constant stare across the rainy desert landscape.
"Take your time kid," Navi says softly to the boy who is now presumably laying on his back from being placed back upon the roof. "Just let it all out."
There was never a shortage of torment and anguish in wartime, a reality that was difficult to accept for many. The feeling of having ones parents die was hardly an easy one, but especially scarring to someone at such a young age. There was a pang of sympathy for Hisao in Navi's heart, there was a feeling of sympathy for all of those who had been molested by such anguish and pain.

It was a weird feeling that Hisao had got. He could feel the adrenaline coursing through his body, the chance of death just a few seconds ago had been extremely likely, however his meaningless life had been saved by the person he had intended to kill. Life sure is strange. Now lying on his back he looked around, still feeling elated due to his life expectancy now having been extended. His eyes rested on the back of the man's head, sure, he had saved him, but Hisao could feel nothing but rage. He didn't feel respect anymore, nor did he feel thankful to the man for saving him. Instead, he stood up silently behind the man and reared his clenched hand backwards, careful as he attacked him this time. His fist shot out in a right hook to the man's temple, and if it was to hurt, it'd surely do nothing except make the knuckles of Hisao feel a burning sensation due to how low his strength is. "Why?! Why did you save me?!"

Navi disappears yet again in a blur, dodging right before the fist makes contact with him. His form reappears behind the boy now, a bored gaze resting upon the furious boy. The Hokage stands with his shoulder's lax, hands in his pockets, and a usual casual demeanor about him.
The attacks being launched by the student are barely even worth registering, and Navi progresses conversationally as if they weren't even happening.
"I saved a lot of people during the incident. I owe quite a bit to the Uchiha clan for what they have done for me, but it seems you were just lucky enough to be rescued by me. There isn't much more to tell."
Navi's stretches his back slightly, looking up at the rainy sky as it began to patter down gently on his expressionless face. His head lowers slightly, just enough so that his question can be heard.
"Tell me, what is your purpose for living?"

And just like Chris Brown to Rihanna, it hit him. Not the fist, no, the man had yet again avoided something the boy thought he could not see. But the words that the man spoke laid as much damage to Hisao as a knife between the third and fourth rib. What was] the purpose of Hisao? Surely, even if his parents had, unfortunately, became deceased, that couldn't be the reason could it? No, they weren't the reason he had no purpose. His purpose previously had been utter destruction; lay waste to the 'cruel' and destroy whatever possible. But now, he felt like his path had changed. He no longer felt like it was just his choice in what he was going to do, he thought there was something else that wanted to dictate his moves. He was lost and alone, so that extra voice of reasoning in his head was a welcomed change. However, it did not come to Hisao's aid at this point in time, so he simply peered off the edge of the building.
"I do not have one yet.. I don't have any training that will allow me to even think about forging or completing one yet. But, I want to.."
He took a pause after he said that, inhaling deeply as many thoughts ran through his head, but he just picked out the cleanest words, not wanting to seem too mentally strained.
"I want to stop catastrophes like this from happening again. I want to be able to save people from wreckages, much like you did.. but I also want to have the power to stop them from even being able to happen."

"That's an understandable and very noble goal," the Hokage replies, happy to see the boy make progress instead of simple expression through hatred.
"Becoming a ninja might very well grant you that power," Navi continues, transferring the powerful emotions into that of useful determination. Hell, he might even decide to train the boy a little if he showed to have some potential in him.
Sunagakure was in a grave state of repair, and proper ninja training and classes for students probably wouldn't be able to be carried out effectively for quite some time.
"You should pursue your ambition, travel to Konoha and train to become a ninja. Through hard work and lots of training you will one day become strong enough to prevent such catastrophes."
Navi smiles warmly at the boy as he finishes speaking the words now, letting the boy's thoughts take everything in as he begins to stretch. It was getting late in the day, and he would decide to head home soon.

As easily as the man had knocked him down he brought him back up. Honestly, it was quite like Hisao was a dog with how easy he was to please at this point in time. The man had said his goals are achievable and that he should travel to the land of leaf in order to pursue them. It was quite a good idea, he must admit. The inheritors of the Will Of Fire would most certainly be fun prey to knock down and use as steps on his ladder of glory. However, that was not the end of it, the man had also.. smiled? It was quite weird since he had not seen any emotion to the man prior to this. Perhaps he had the same way of thinking as well. None the less, the boy shrugged his shoulders and began to speak with a smirk, attempting to add a bit of humour into the situation, hell, and if it worked that was just a bonus, "Can you carry me to Konoha? It'd give me uh.. plenty of more time to train!" The truth however, was that he just didn't feel like walking that far, and the man could evidently get there quicker than he could.

Navi shrugged at the request, taking his right hand and intending to rest it on the boy's shoulder. In a crimson flash they would disappear, and a moment later they would reappear on the streets of Konoha. In actuality they had just traveled through Asgard, but it had been so quick that it seemed to just be simple teleportation. Should this action occur, Navi would also secretly mark the flesh of the boy's arm with a tiny expulsion of chakra, creating a tiny and nearly invisible dot as the mark of a sealing technique. This was his personal teleportation seal, something he could use to keep an eye on the boy if needed, as well as travel to him within an instant.
Upon appearing in Konoha Navi would begin to walk away, hands in his pockets and same bored expression on his face.
"Go talk to Mr. Uchigawa at the academy, he can set you up with a room to yourself while you train to become a ninja. Don't lose faith in your dream, see ya around."
With that Navi disappears from sight in a simple blur, a single leaf floating through the air and landing where he once stood.
