Training Session {Private NK}

Okonishi was laying on his bed, eyes open. He was on his back, staring at his ceiling. It was nearly seven A.M, and there was a loud jackass sleeping in the room above. He was snoring like hell, Okonishi would have to send in a complaint to those who own the apartment building Okon lived in. He sighed, knowing he wasn’t going to get that much sleep, he jumped off and headed for his sheathed Katana blade wondering why he didn’t think of this earlier. He took the scabbard, and began to bang the ceiling, awakening the man and stopping the noise, though it was too late to sleep now. Too early. He corrected that.



He walked out of his room and into the hall, he twisted the silver door knob. The door was wooden and filled, meaning it wasn’t broken too easily. He hated hollow doors, they never seemed to last whenever around Okonishi. He sighed, and turned back around. He was so tired he had forgot to change.



He slid open his closet door. It wasn’t like most he had seen in other’s homes when he went out to murder, they often had doors which opens either in or out. His slid open to the right, into the wall, a small empty space. The handle never went too far in, it always stayed where Okonishi could grab it. He dragged out a shirt, putting on a regular sized black sleeveless shirt. It used to be a T-shirt, until he had ripped the sleeves off when they once caught fire when he was cooking. Quite the complaint he got that day. He then put on black pants, somewhat similar to jeans. They had multiple pockets on them, capable of carrying non-sharp objects. Should they have been sharp, they could cut through to his legs, he didn’t want that. He kept all sharp, and small, weapons in a small pouch. He put a belt on, and the pouch on that. The pouch had two Kunai in it. He attached his scabbard to his belt, and then put a cloak on. He added the cloak mainly due to the fact it hid his weapons, allowing for people to assume he had no weapons and attack if they wanted to, this giving him an advantage.


He then walked back into his hall, then to his kitchen. He grabbed a small box of cereal and opened it, reaching in and taking a handful. He pulled out and shoved the bits of cereal into his mouth. He was currently eating his favorite cereal, a honey coated flavoring, with a bit too much sugar. He was eating it to keep him awake, mainly.



He walked out, walking twenty stories down a flight of stairs. He lived in a skyscraper, as many did in Tengakure, the village of Skyscrapers. He lived, not even half way up, more like a quarter of the way to the top floor. Once he got outside, he noticed it was the perfect weather for one of two things. Pissing people off, always a good sport. And then there was training. He began to wonder... which to do today? He pissed people off the past week.. two per day.. he needed to train. He decided rather quickly, deciding to train. Though he didn’t really want to do a solo training session, he preferred to team up with others.

The short girl was walking along the streets of Tengakure, trying to remember where the training grounds were, she’d overheard someone speaking about them as well as their location the day before, but now she couldn’t seem to find them.

It was only her second official day here in the village of Tengakure. And she was feeling a lot better after a good night’s sleep. Her body felt light even though she was wearing Kuroi yoroi today. She played with the hilt of her ninjato, which was strapped to her waist, as she walked along, looking for a local to ask about the training grounds.

She was ready to train, preferably spar, but she guessed anything would do if no one could be found. She even had her weapons pouch on her, which was unusual, since she usually didn’t feel the need for it. All those hand to hand spars with Denkiteki, she supposed.

Her small black boots clicked noisily on the unpopulated streets, it was much too early for people to be out and about, but the short white haired girl was trying all the same.

She soon happened upon a dark haired boy, who was also dressed in black. The girl mentally sighed, relieved that she had found someone. As she neared the boy she spoke, “Hey, just wondering, would you happen to know where the training grounds are by any chance?” She smiled nervously, hoping her early morning enthusiasm wasn’t annoying.

He continued to walk, the streets semi empty, least the ones he walked on. He assumed people were avoiding him. He wasn't on the best page with the citizens on Tengakure, it may be time to leave soon enough, to be liberated from the damned laws of villages. He sighed, there was no way he could do that, yet anyways, not without first mastering a special gift.



He walked through the village, wondering. He wanted someone to train with, though it didn't appear as if he were going to be getting a sparring partner. 'Hey, just wondering, would you happen to know where the training grounds are by any chance?' Okon heard, he looked over to where he head the voice. It sounded like a child's, a female's as well. It sounded somewhat enthusiastic about something, perhaps about training. He turned to face the girl. "Eh, yeah." He said, pointing at two large towers. The two towers were where training generally happened in Tengakure, despite the entire village being rather perfect for training, well, mainly for chakra. "Who are you? I don't recall pissing you of- .. Er, seeing you in Tengakure." He said, as he looked at the girl who was smiling. She seemed somewhat nervous. "I'm Okonishi, by the way.." He said, figuring it would be better to introduce himself first.

The dark haired boy turned to face Minorin, she walked a couple steps closer since he was about a meter or so away as he turned. She wanted to make sure she could hear the boy if he were to respond. He apparently knew where the training grounds were and pointed in their direction. Minorin could see two very large towers off in the distance. She should have figured. Hadn’t the person from the day before said towers? She wondered if she’d called them training grounds for a moment before realizing that the boy was speaking, she didn’t quite hear what he’d said at first because of this, but the boy seemed to have cut himself off to say something else. Asking her about being new here, she supposed. She wasn’t as nervous anymore, and listened as the older boy introduced himself as Okonishi.

The girl looked over at the towers, “I just came to Tengakure yesterday, so excuse me if I’m a bit off.”

Then she’d look back over at the boy as she would continue to speak, “Pleased to meet you, Okonishi, I’m Minorin Senju by the way.” She’d chosen to repeat the last three words the boy had used in an attempt to come off as friendly.

As she stood there she noticed the boy had a weapons pouch as well, so he must be a shinobi. The fourteen year old girl faintly smiled, “Are you going out to train too?” She asked, her tone more relaxed now that she saw she was around a fellow ninja.

Okonishi heard the girl say she had just arrived at Tengakure yesterday. "Oh? Where were you before you came Tengakure? Sorry for the curiosity." He said, wondering. "Are you visiting the village? Or..?" He asked, he was wondering if she was just visiting, on vacation or something. He heard the girl saying her name, and that she was pleased to meet him. "Nice to meet you as well, Minorin." He said, creating a smile on his face. Perhaps Okon could spar with this one, though she seemed to be rather young. He sighed in his head, he should know by now not to judge a shinobi's strength by age, especially due to certain past events..



He noticed the girl had gotten closer, a few steps closer. She was no longer the meter she had been away. 'Are you going out to train too?' Okonishi heard from Minorin. "Aye." He said. "Just out looking for a sparring partner.." he would say, not many in Tengakure liked him too much due to him enjoying to annoy people. Then he began to think, perhaps she would enjoy a simple spar? "Would you care to spar, Minorin?" He would say, rather simply and calmly. He would assume the answer to be something Okonishi didn't want to hear, the reply of 'no', and had prepared himself for that, he could understand why, considering he seemed to be slightly older in age.

Minorin would smile in return as the boy did, however, she was a little surprised by the boy’s question, but no surprise would show on her face, instead she would continue to faintly smile. She didn’t know exactly how to answer the boy. Oh you know, just in a whole ‘nother dimension for four years - Not exactly something you could tell just anyone, right?

“Oh, just traveling, but before that I lived in Kirigakure for years. I plan on keeping my roots here in Tengakure though, at least for some time.” Then her face would acquire a grin, the girl rather liked Tengakure and would happily stay there, but she didn’t know where the path she walked in life may lead, and so she was prone to often responding in such a way.

Then she found that Okonishi was going training too; that was good, actually, it was really good because he also mentioned that he was looking for a sparring partner.

The girl was about to ask him to join her, when instead Okonishi offered. Today was going to be a good day.

Minorin smiled, “I’d like to spar, sure. I was also looking for a sparring partner, to be honest.” Then the girl would let out a short upbeat laugh, glad that she seemed to be so lucky today.

Okon noticed the girl smiling, and soon enough he had gotten a reply to where she was before Tengakure. Minorin said she lived in Kirigakure for sometime, many years being her exact wording. Okon assumed she had been born in Kirigakure due to the fact she stated she lived there for many years, if not, then she may have been raised there. Okonishi let a little surprised look come onto his face. "The village that had been destroyed?.." He said, somewhat surprised that someone had made it out of the destruction alive. He knew of no one else that had made it from Kirigakure. It was probably rude of him to mention it's destruction, though.. he couldn't stop himself from asking. Basing off what she said about keeping her roots here in Tengakure for sometime, Okon assumed she meant that she was moving to Kirigakure. It was somewhat surprising that someone younger than him managed to make it out alive, perhaps she was stronger than expected. He had heard a reply, she accepted the spar request, though Okonishi was still in surprise. "Great.." He managed to force himself to say, and put his smile back in place, hopefully she didn't find him too rude from the previous question.

The boy had seemed surprised when she mentioned Kirigakure and so she braced herself for the inevitable, keeping her smile firmly in place as the boy brought up Kirigakure’s destruction. To be honest for a moment she had completely forgotten that it had been destroyed. She supposed she was in denial, having not seen Kirigakure herself after the destruction.

Her forced smile grew just a bit wider as she tried to keep any hint of sadness from her face. She had practiced this many times when facing her mother, so it looked completely natural, a hint of embarrassment could even be noticed.

“Ah, well, I was traveling when that happened, I haven’t been to Kiri since..” Her voice trailed off as she began to think about Kirigakure, then she shook her head slightly as if to force the thoughts away. She would deal with that alone. She felt awfully bitter, a sour taste left in her mouth from just thinking of her home – gone. And Denkiteki, her “friend,” hadn’t told her a thing about it, even though he’d known. So far she hadn’t done a thing in retaliation. But retaliation would come in some form at some time.

“I think I’d like to go and see it again though, just to well, you know.” The girl’s smile faded, leaving her with a look of contentment instead. She didn’t like it when people could tell how she was feeling, so doing this was the only way for Minorin to stay comfortable at the time.

She would then look to Okonishi and smirk a little, “Do you mind leading the way to the training towers? I obviously don’t know where I’m going.” She would then take a few hesitant steps forward, in the direction of the two towers Okonishi had pointed out to her earlier.

Okon listened, the girl had apparently been traveling during it's destruction. He almost let out a sigh of sadness, somewhat regretting that he had brought that part up in the conversation. He heard Minorin stating that she would have liked to go and see it again. "Well.. I would think that you could visit the spot where it once was?.." He said, he was rather interested in the place where Kirigakure once stood. Perhaps it would make a good tourist attraction for easy money... He stopped his thoughts, now hadn't been the time to focus on making money.


Okon heard the girl ask to lead the way to the training towers. "Sure." he said, beginning to walk in their direction. He knew the way to them well, he often ran in that direction when he pissed people off, and then began to train there.

The boy accepted her offer and began leading her towards the training towers.
Something he’d just said had bothered her though, “What do you mean by where it once was? The village or is the island gone too?”

She didn’t let her anxious feelings reveal themselves in her speech, face, or body movements. In fact, she almost sounded cheerful, as though she were asking questions just to hear herself speak. But the girl felt a desperate need to know what he meant by ‘where it once was,’ she realized that she could just be acting crazy. But the feeling was there all the same.
She would walk along beside him, seeming very patient as she waited.
