Training Session {Private NK}

He heard her speak, asking if the island was gone too. "Eh.. now that I think about it... I did hear some rumors that even the island didn't remain.." He said, then sighed, and wished he didn't bring that up. They soon arrived at the two towers. He sighed, and made his way up.

She listened to the boy’s reply and stored the information in the recesses of her mind; she would think more on it later. Another thought held her full attention at this time.

The boy actually seemed to regret bringing the topic up, how odd. Actually seeming to care about a place he wasn’t even from. And he sighed, multiple times, she noted.

She was quiet until they approached the towers and began ascending the stairs. Minorin would exhale, as though preparing for what she believed would be a long flight of stairs. Then she’d look over to the boy, tilting her head ever so slightly as she did so, “So how long have you lived here in Tengakure, it’s a pretty nice place, huh.” Then the short girl would smile, flicking her long white hair away from her face as she did so. She wanted to be able to see the stairs better, even more so since at the moment she was using her peripheral vision to watch where she was going.

He heard Minorin pop up a question, how long had Okon lived here? "I was brought into the village shortly after birth, so basically my entire life.." He replied to the girl, figuring it would have been good to answer her questions since she had answered some of Okon's. He looked over at Minorin and saw she was smiling, he simply smiled in returned, and turned his head back towards him, so he wouldn't trip. They were almost there, just a few more minutes.

{SHORT again.}

The girl listened, that was nice. To live somewhere until you were what, sixteen or seventeen? She couldn’t tell how old the boy was exactly, but he acted a lot older than Denkiteki did, and Den was sixteen. So perhaps this boy was eighteen? No matter, it was still a nice concept. She had lived in Kirigakure for the majority of her life, but it hadn’t felt that way due to the hundreds of trips she and her father had been on together when she was younger.

“That’s nice. Living somewhere for so long. Especially a place like Tengakure, so big and advanced.”

She was trying not to talk so much now, figuring that the boy wasn’t too keen on small talk. That was what she did though before sparring. It was nice to get to know the person you’d be training with, even if it was only once. In fact, she liked to learn as much as she could about a person, especially if it seemed they would only train together one time, because she could develop a sense for the person. Kind of see where they were coming from in life, plus, shinobi were always being talked about – for certain special techniques, etcetera, and it was always exciting to hear a tidbit about someone you knew or met. That was part of the reason why she was so eager to speak, that and she was excited to talk to someone other than Denkiteki for a change.

As she thought she realized that they were probably very close to being at a spot suitable for training.

She couldn’t wait.

Okonishi continued to travel up the stairs. Soon enough they arrived on the floor where they could train. He had heard Minorin speaking something about it being nice to live in Tengakure for so long, and how Tengakure was so advanced. Okonishi didn't think the village was advanced.. sure it had larger buildings, though the technology may have been the same as any other village, though thinking about it he never knew what it was like in any other villages. "I suppose it's nice.. I haven't really been to any other village to compare Tengakure's technology with.. so I wouldn't know how advanced it was." He said, replying to her statement before. "We're here.." He said, opening the door to find an empty training room. It was rather early, which is probably why there weren't any teams training on the training grounds today.


"Shall we begin training?" Okonishi asked, as he went on one side of the training area, and looked over at Minorin waiting for a reply.

“Well, apparently the people of Tengakure use a thing called ‘steam-power,’ or at least that’s what I’ve heard, anyways.” The girl would smile faintly after saying this in response to Okonishi. Then the two of them reached a door – which Okonishi opened to reveal an empty training room.

Minorin was a little surprised that no one was there, but she supposed it was a little early. Still, in Kirigakure as well as in Sanctuary she had woken up at the crack of dawn almost every morning to get started on the day as well as to train. Maybe she was just a teensy bit too enthusiastic about that… Nonetheless, the girl was pleased with the training room, it seemed appropriate for sparring.

She watched the older boy move to the other side of the room, noting that he was a good bit taller than herself, she currently stood at a measly four feet and seven inches tall.

Then she heard Okonishi ask if they should begin sparring, the girl nodded her head once to the boy, “Always ready.”

She felt a little nervous and also very excited as she mentally prepared herself for a spar. This would be her first spar with someone other than Denkiteki after four long years.

Minorin kept her eyes on her target as she quickly made her way into the room - standing in the same spot the boy stood in only she was on the other side of the room, wondering if Okonishi would make the first move.

She hoped he would, she had become rather strong during her time in Sanctuary, she didn't quite know the full extent of her strength however. And so she wanted to avoid actually hitting someone as much as possible for the time being.

Okonishi listened, Minorin was talking about the steam power Tengakure user. Perhaps other villages didn't have that? If not, apparently they were more.. dumb than Okonishi had expected. "Do other villages not have steam power?" He asked, somewhat in amazement. He figured the technology of other villages was on par with Tengakure's.




Minorin had replied to Okonishi's question on if she was ready to spar with 'Always ready'. Okonishi smiled, and began to unsheathe his Katana blade. "Care to make the first move?" He said, noting the distance between her and him. There was a good ten meters, enough time to react with whatever Minorin would throw at him.

The girl smiled softly and shrugged in response to Okonishi.

It seemed as though she would have to make the first move after all.

He was ten meters away from her, she wondered if she should make use of the weapons in her pouch for once or if she should get close with her ninjato instead. These thoughts only took seconds to materialize, and in just another second she had her answer.

The girl swiftly withdrew 5 shuriken from her pouch with her right hand, careful to hold them sideways so that she wouldn’t harm herself with them as she unsheathed her ninjato using her left hand. She would then throw all five shuriken at once in the direction of the boy – aiming very close, but not exactly at his left arm. If he were to stay where he was the shuriken had a slight chance of grazing his arm. Minorin wasn’t really being serious at the moment; she just wanted to know how the boy would react to the attack. Depending on what he did she might use it as a reference later on, seeing as she wasn’t very experienced in ranged fighting.

She then switched her ninjato into her right hand as she watched Okonishi.

He watched, his Katana blade now unsheathed from it's scabbard. Minorin had smiled, and shrugged. Okonishi just held a calm looking face, and prepared for her attack. She appeared to be thinking for a second, though quickly stopped. Okonishi noted that she had taken out five Shuriken. All were in her right hand. Okon gripped his Katana's handle, as he prepared himself for an attack. He also noted the Ninjato in Minorin's left hand. He began to think, a rather strange combination, perhaps she planned to throw Shuriken, and then dash forward and attack with her Ninjato? Too soon to tell, Okon figured.



He continued to watch Minorin, wondering what she was planning. He noticed, as soon as she had thrown the Shuriken, all five of them, aimed somewhat at Okonishi. He quickly dashed over to the right, avoiding the Shuriken, at the same time keeping an eye on Minorin. He then dashed forward, after the shuriken had passed. He was dashing at Minorin, keeping an eye upon Minorin's Ninjato, as he prepared his blade mainly for defense.

The girl plunged forward towards the boy, noticing that Okonishi held his katana in a way that made her feel as though he thought she would attack again. And so she would, although she had only taken out her ninjato in order to block an attack from the boy – she had expected retaliation of some sort, maybe even a few kunai or something thrown in her direction, no matter – this had happened instead, and it wasn’t a surprise or anything. Really she preferred it this way.

She would thrust her ninjato forward as fast as she could, attempting to clash with the boy’s blade. To try and see how strong he was. She wasn’t very good at sizing up an opponent, so to her this felt necessary. If she succeeded the flat part of her blade should make contact with Okonishi’s blade.
