Crono sighed gently as he walked out of his house, a small piece of paper clenched tightly in his hand. "Village gates" was all that it read. He would need to talk to his brother about these vague missions notes. his last 2 had just been addresses, with this being no different. he had no idea of the mission prior to arriving, He knew messenger frogs had limited scroll space, but they still had enough room for at least twenty to thirty words. He didn't need to explain every last detail, but maybe add an adjutive, like village gates, fix, or village gates- team, or village gates on fire.... something.

looking up crono checked in at the guard house and checked in with the guards. "Ah, you're the one Surge was sending." crono nodded, "yes, sir" the guard continued. "one of our regulars is out with the flu, you will just be filling in his shift. Just patrol along the wall and check in with us every hour" , Crono looked back at them. "Will do" after acknowledging his understanding they spoke once more. "alright, well head out, you're on the west wall today. with a sudden word of encouragement crono left, leaping up onto the nearby buildings and vaulting himself up onto the pathway of the west wall.

Looking down crono watched the leaves in the trees wave in the wind. there was a nice gentle breeze, as he started walking down the long path. to his left, small animals darted to and fro, to his left he could see villagers going about their daily buisness. some shopping in the open market, another couple entering the ramen shop, in the distance two academy students practiced with some shriekenjutsu. Crono sighed as he reached the end of the wall and began to make his way back. " well, it's been about an hour.... i could sprint back... or.." crono said as he drew his blade and inch and cut a light slint in his thumb. pressing his hand down to the ground he summoned a small messenger frog. removing the scroll in it's back he unraveled it and began writing a small report before replacing the scroll and sending the frog on its way. the day continued on and remained uneventful, every so often crono would summon another frog, write his report and send it back to the guard house until his replacement came. Leaping down off the wall, crono headed home, his job fulfilled. [exit]
