Hirako's Genin Exam
Sun May 12, 2013 11:19 am
The sun shone brightly in the sky, but alas Hirako was not able to enjoy it this day. Instead he sat in a classroom full of genin hopefuls. Today was the day: the day for the genin exams and Hirako was more than ready. Sitting in the back of the class he waited for his name to be called. He knew all the jutsu that needed to be performed all that remained to be seen was who would be called to take the exam first. Until then Hirako simply waited.

Shoju Kengi walked into the classroom in the Sunagakure academy. The Chuunin of Sunagakure was more than happy taking the Genin exams. He loved to work with children, these young growing minds of the future shinobi of Sunagakure. He entered the close with a huge smile on his face as he greeted everyone in a happy excited voice, "Good morning Class!" Some could say that he was a student participating in the exams due to the joy he expressed. "Now let's see who will be our lucky number one..." Shoju didn't bother to look at the list. He flung it across the room landing neatly on his table. He looked around at everyone seeing who to pick... He eyes fell on a boy sitting in the back looking very covered up. "You there! Hirako Aburame right?" Yes this teacher was so devoted as to memorise the names and faces of all the learners in the class. "Come up! You lucky number 1" he awaited the boy stand up and make his way to the front of the class before saying, "Please proceed and perform the academy jutsu. Best of Luck!" He said with a huge smile just hoping that he could pass all of them...

Hirako was silently hoping he would be allowed to go first as he wanted to go walk around in the sun for a while. It seemed that his silent prayers had been realized as he was called to the front of the classroom. Walking by his fellow classmates he felt all the eyes in the room drilling into his back. It was a bit disconcerting to say the least, but his stride did not falter once. After making the long walk to the front of the class from the back Hirako took his position to the right of the proctor and began. In the back of his mind he was a bit worried as the proctor seemed rather erratic. Even going so far as to fling the list of names across the room like a complete and utter badass. Regardless of the proctor's odd mannerisms Hirako started with the first of the three basic jutsu that every shinobi must know: the transformation technique.
Hirako had spent ages perfecting this jutsu. As he performed the hand signs he remembered how at first he had struggled to transform into anything. In fact, the illusion always faded after a few seconds for him. At one point he was on the verge of giving up, but oddly enough he felt driven after seeing all his classmates practicing it in their spare time. Thus, Hirako himself, who was not known for his rigorous training, began to train as hard as he could, so as to beat his classmates. And finally after a two weeks of practice he had done it. he had mastered the transformation jutsu. And soon the whole class, the proctor included would see his progress. Weaving a few hand seals Hirako pictured the proctor in his mind and chose to transform into his likness. Hopefully it would be good enough. Upon completion of the needed hand seals a small puff of smoke covered Hirako's body, so that no one could see what was happening. As the smoke cleared the a perfect transformation of the proctor appeared. Bowing to the class he held the transformation for thirty seconds and then released it as he wanted to continue through to the next jutsu.
The next jutsu was an easy one for Hirako. It was the body replacement technique. With a rather cocky smile hidden by his mask Hirako began. It was fortunate that the room had been set up prior to the genin exam for the proper jutsu, because there was a sizable log that sat right next to Hirako that would make for the perfect object with, which to substitute with. Making the needed hand signs Hirako would change positions with the log. Though it would not be readily seen there was now an illusion where Hirako once stood. And underneath that illusion was not Hirako-it was asturdy log. And in the log's place stood Hirako. In an instant the illusion was dispelled with a puff of smoke to reveal that Hirako had indeed changed positions with the log and not tried some weird sleight of hand. Bowing once again Hirako prepared for the final jutsu he would have to perform: the clone jutsu.
Alas this was not a shadow clone jutsu, but instead an illusionary clone, but it was still rather helpful nonetheless. This jutsu was another that came rather naturally to Hirako, but he still had a bit of trouble here and there-nothing he could not overcome with a bit of thought and some training. In fact, the clone jutsu was probably his favorite jutsu was this clone technique-it had many uses at the low level that he was at. With an unusual amount of restrained glee he made the needed hand signs for the clone technique and then in a heartbeat two illsuionary clones appeared on either side of Hirako. Wanting to prove that he had full control Hirako turned his head one way and then another. The clones naturally followed suit and then disappeared. Once again bowing to the class Hirakop stood at the front of the class and waited for the verdict from his proctor.
In the back of his mind Hirako was freaking out, but externally it did not show. His very future rested on the proctors decision. If he said no then Hirako was forced to go back to the academy in shame and repeat the classes over and over until he was a true master. On the other hand if the proctor said yes then it was the gate way to his future as a genin and hopefully beyond. On each journey there was a step and Hirako's step was to finish this genin exam. Hopefully he had done well, but only time would truly tell. he had no wish to go back home and tell his parents that he had failed to become a genin as it would severely disappoint them thought they would not show it. That was the thing that Hirako hated: his parents were always proud of him even f he did poorly. In some ways it was nice, but at other times it almost seemed patronizing. Though all that was irrelevant for Hirako now waited for the proctor to deal his fate.
