Uprising [Anko/Akira]
Mon May 20, 2013 2:36 pm
"Without doubt, I still fail to recognize reality..."
These would be the words that would cloud Anko's mind after the events in which he had partaken. The sudden force that had struck Anko a while back with Aura would still impact his present self. Little did he know, sooner or later, it would highly benefit him. He would look around, watching as some shinobi would stare at him, others talking about him, and the rest startled by his image. How well exactly was Anko known in the village? For at least a few weeks, he had been living most of his days in the desert, training and having fun, alone. This was all to settle his pain with other Uchiha, whom had ended their lives to enlighten his. Finally, lest not be forgotten the death of Azaiyo, Anko's adopted father, who had served the Sand to a high degree. Anko would stand in a single spot, looking high into the air as he thought "What should I do next?"

A mess of blonde hair bobbed up and down as the boy attached to it walked. His eyes were set on the path ahead of him and he didn't pay much attention to anything else going on. The reason for this was because he was thinking, currently grasped in his hand was the recently acquired Sunagakure headband he had received upon his completion of the Genin exam. This headband was the main reason for his thoughts right now. He was planning, planning for his advancement down the path of being a ninja. A path that would surely take a long time, and he would be unable to do it alone that was for sure. For one he needed to join a genin team, which was going to be incredibly annoying for him. Both his walking and his thoughts came an abrupt halt when he spotted a pair of feet before him, these feet were actually attached to a person fortunately, a fact which Akira became aware of when his eyes moved upwards following along the person's body until it came to the head. The young Genin noticed something rather peculiar about the person before him, which was that they appeared to be looking almost directly upwards towards the sky. It seemed that perhaps Akira was not the only one who was deep in thought today. Akira cleared his throat before speaking, his dry lips parting as words exited from them. "You could hurt your neck doing that you know." Not the greatest of conversation starters, but it would do.

Anko would smile as someone new would approach him. "You're right." Anko would say in response to this man's 'greeting'. He would look over to the boy as he could immediately see the Sunagakure headband attached to his forehead. For the time, having notice a headband like this, Anko would have no response. "I'm Anko, a Jounin of this village..." The Uchiha began, "...And you?" The boy looked rather young, almost as if he were new here. However, despite his age, his appearance made him look mysteriously tough in a way. Anko would be rather cautious facing the man, able to talk to him in a good way but ready to erase him at any moment, just in case. The Uchiha would be in his regular attire; a grey high-collared short-sleeved shirt, blue wrist
warmers, and a black Uchiha robe on his waist, a belt sash attached. These would be the only words that Anko would say to the boy for now, trying to spill words out of his mouth so the Uchiha could take further action.

It seemed that Akira had caught the attention of the other person. Out of habit Akira did a quick look over said person quickly with his eyes. His eyes returned back to the head of the older male as they began to speak towards him. With the words spoken Akira took in the information and remained silent for a few seconds as he thought over it. So the person before them as a Jounin of Suna if what they said was correct. The person didn't really have a reason to lie to him, so he took it as the truth. Akira decided that it would be best not to be rude to the jounin so replied to the question when he was asked, "My name is Akira, and I'm a Genin." He didn't feel like he needed to give any more information to this Anko person. The last time he had met someone new he had spent a good deal of time giving them details which weren't really important, and Akira had learned from such a mistake. Instead he returned with a question of his own, "You had the look of someone who was thinking. Do you mind if I ask what you were thinking about exactly?" Akira wasn't too sure if he came across as rude when asking this question, after all it was sort of prying into potentially some personal things. But he felt like he should at least try and keep the conversation going, this person seemed at least slightly interesting compared to the other dreary ninja of Suna.

Instead of turning his head over once more, Anko would turn his entire body instead, only to respond to the stunning questions this man had to ask. "Akira, huh?" Anko commented, "It is always nice to see a new fellow passing by, especially a Genin. You see me deep in thought, huh? Well, if I must tell you my thoughts, will you tell me yours?" Anko would give the boy a signal that he was just kidding around, but ready to tell him his thoughts anyway. "I have undergone a loss, young boy. His name was Azaiyo, a former Kage of this village. He always had one goal, and that was to be the Savior of this village. He inspired himself to do so, and in the end, he willingly sacrificed himself to accomplish it. He is the reason why people can still register themselves here, as proud Sand shinobi." Anko would smile, feeling much more relieved, finally having explained his thoughts to another person. "Believe it or not, losses can actually benefit you. When you see me deep in thought, you see a man lost in time, an endless series of questions clouding his mind. However, these questions will be responsible for leading me to success, just as you will someday. My message is not to learn from death exactly, but to grasp upon something in life and grow from it. That is what makes great shinobi in life."
Having gave a long speech, right from the get-go, Anko would refer to his encounter with Aura, only to hand the boy a couple passes to a noodle bar nearby. "Here. Take this as a welcoming gift." Anko would smile.

Akira was quite surprised when the man began to answer his question. Mostly he was surprised that he didn't find the questioning to be rude, actually maybe he did but simply showed no signs of it. Never the less Akira at least had the manners to remain silent as the older man spoke. He processed what the boy said and began to think over the words. Akira assumed that this Azaiyo person was the most recently deceased Kazekage, if he recalled correctly it wasn't actually that long ago that the village had been set upon and the resulting casualty had been made. Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately Akira did not remember the exact details of the event, it had been quite shocking to hear about however. Another thing surprised Akira when the man smiled. He found this confusing, was he not supposed to be saddened by the loss? Maybe it was a sad smile..Akira couldn't tell. He didn't dwell on it long however as the man began to speak yet again. The next few words that were uttered confused Akira greatly. Perhaps it was because of how young he was that he did not understand, or maybe it was because he had yet to experience a loss. Either way, he made a mental note to think more upon what had been said at a later date so that he could wrap his head around it and understand better. The third surprise came when Anko gave him what appeared to be coupons. A quick glance over them and a recognition of the name of the noodle bar later Akira looked back to Anko. "Um, thank you." He returned the smile with a rather awkward one of his own. "Uh, I'm afraid I don't have anything to give to you in return. And I guess it doesn't help much but I'm sorry for your loss." Akira didn't know if what he said would have any effect, most likely not. After all it was just an automatic reaction that all people say when they hear of someone losing a person close to them and as such the words had most likely become simply meaningless.

Anko would examine the man before him. His words had seemingly put him in another state. Did he know about Azaiyo? Did he experience the event personally? Who exactly is he? Anko would make an attempt not to speak to the man for the time being, only giving an exception as to whether or not he would speak himself. A sudden shock would come to mind as Anko could remember a few sudden faces evacuating the village as the tragedy occurred. Could this man be one of them? Endless thoughts would continue to cloud Anko's mind as his Sharingan would react, turning to the third tomoe. Chakra examinations would occur as discoveries would be met. It would seem as if this man's chakra levels would be slightly above that of an average Genin. What was once a smile would turn into a blank face as the field became silent. Morally, the current circumstances would seem abnormal. Does this man know death himself? Could this be the reasoning behind his current state? These would be the hopes that would only wait to be answered as time would pass.

Akira felt a strange change in the atmosphere in the area, it seemed like perhaps his words had had a bad effect. The other man had yet to give a response to what he had said. Akira's attention was quickly diverted towards the man's eyes. What happened was probably the strangest thing that he had seen, they had changed. He watched as they turned into a strange mix of what appeared to be red, with a strange black pattern in the middle. This took the young boy by surprise which was evident in the slight change in his posture, going from the relaxed state it once was to a more alert one. Another thing he noticed was that the smile was now gone from the man's face. Akira took this as a bad sign and wondered what would happen next. The silence that followed made Akira feel slightly uncomfortable, shown by his feet shuffling about on the ground and his hands fidgeting. After a few more seconds it grew unbearable for the boy so he decided to speak yet again. "I guess since you stated what your thoughts were I should do the same." He hesitated for a second licking his dry lips before continuing, "I have recently achieved my main goal for the past few years, said goal being to become a genin. And now that this has been accomplished I find myself without an goal or aim. This has been troubling me for the past few weeks." A frown accompanied the words as he once more found his mind wandering in an attempt to figure it out, though the thoughts ended when he realised now wasn't exactly the best time for this. "Though your thoughts seem to be more..complex than my own, I do not really understand what you are going through as I am fortunate enough to not experience a loss of someone precious to me..yet." The words that were coming from his mouth did not feel like his own. It felt weird to the boy to speaking like this but that was simply a minor inconveniences.

Anko could sense the instability the young boy was experiencing alongside him. Another sigh would come as it seemed as though Anko's silence had quite the impact on this poor kid. "Relax, Akira. I don't need anything in return. I like to gift with no reward, after all." A relaxing smile would accompany Anko's words as it would hopefully calm the intense feelings this boy was experiencing. "Sometimes, even after accomplishing one goal, we have yet to find another path, and that's okay. In fact, if you'd like, I can lend you a helping hand, one that can open a new path to you; a path that will lead you to your full potential." The Uchiha would pause, hoping that the Genin would comprehend. Anko would begin to wipe sand off his arms as the boy would continue to talk. "Not knowing what someone is going through is exactly why we lend a helping hand. That is what this village is all about. However, now, I can sense your instability. Instability is not inscribed in the Ninja Way, thus I ask that you calm yourself. Do not encourage death, for it is of no help. Death supported me as I was able to interpret it into my own benefit. Do not be reliant on the same thing, but rather continue to live your life to the fullest." Anko would smile once more, attempting to pat the boy on the shoulder. He would chuckle, thinking about all of the troubles he had recently gone through, and how he had successfully managed to overcome them. As he thought of this, he would look at the boy's face. "Turn that frown upside down." Anko suggested, trying to liven up the youngster beside him.

Akira visibly relaxed when the jounin began to speak once more. It seemed that he hadn't done something wrong after all, and that was good to know. The man then smiled once again and that had the intended effect, as Akira felt himself calming down once more. He felt once again relaxed and at ease as the atmosphere changed back to 'normal'. It was then that he heard what seemed to be an offer from the older ninja. An offer that could lead him to his full potential? Akira's eyes lit up as he thought of the possibilities that could come from this. It seemed like an offer that he would not be able to refuse, as he could not really think of a downside to this. "Help with finding a path would be nice." The reply was quiet, but still loud enough to be heard by Anko. Once again he remained silent as the man continued to talk and as this went on Akira continued to find himself relaxing, soon back to how he was feeling at the beginning of the meeting. He was snapped back to attention when he felt a hand pat his shoulder jumping slightly from the sudden contact he glanced up towards the male. The last phrase that was uttered was somewhat familiar to Akira, he had heard it said by adults often. From his observations he had come to learn that the proper way to react to this was to actually do as asked, so he did. A smile returned back to his face and he simply nodded as if to confirm to himself that he should in fact do as the man said, after all he had many years ahead to look forward to. Now that he was thinking about that he remembered something, "You know, one day I'm going to explore the entire world." It was quite a strange thing to say out of the blue, but Akira felt like he needed to say it to at least one person. It was like a way of reassuring himself that he would do it.
