Training and Summoning Part2 {Solo}
Sat Jul 20, 2013 3:40 am
With his previous training area ruined, he set out of his man-made forest. This forest was indeed created by man. Himself, to be exact, with no help from another soul. Though, there was another in this forest upon it's creation, his name was Tee. Inijo had figured out quite a bit about Tee, skill-wise. He had many tricks capable of coming up from his sleeves. The boy seemed to possessed the nature release of lightning, he was capable of making this observation due to the fact that he used a technique quite similar to the shadow clone, not just in his first meeting but his second too. When destroyed, rather than a simple poof of disappearance into a pure white cloud, but into electricity, which was rather strange for a shadow clone, as he hasn't really ever seen it, so he naturally assumed it wouldn't, or shouldn't be possible. He would have to do some research into it.
The first time he had met with Tee was somewhat early he in the morning, he remembered. Though his memory was slightly faulty, perhaps it could have been the afternoon, either was more likely than later in the day, because Inijo was out for a walk. He wouldn't have gone late in the day, due to the fact that he mainly walks outside early in the morning, when he's going out for long trips. And when he goes to the base of mountains, he considers it a long trip. Not too long ago, on a trip to resume his training, he had ran into someone named Tee. Though he wasn't the only person he met, he had also met with someone known as Souji. They were both skilled combatants, each possessing some skill. Souji had admitted he was a rather new shinobi, therefore he lacked in experience, though it didn't appear to be so in the fight. Tee fought somewhat simply, and his styles didn't exactly change much between the two spars. He seemed to be the same. He began to wonder how much Souji had changed.. according to Tee, Inijo's skill had greatly improved. This was mainly due to his kekkei genkai, wood release. It presented many opportunities in battle for Inijo, and, when fighting Tee, he hadn't even unleashed his trump card. His trump card would ensure success, he believed it would anyways. Just from studying, Inijo alone couldn't last against his own jutsu. He needed some mask to prevent it from harming him. Well, not necessarily from 'harming' him. More like preventing him from combating further. It was indeed a wood release technique, one belonging to his clan, to the point to where supposedly no one could access it and use it against him, or anyone of the Senju clan. Though, he learned that honestly anything seemed possible.
He sighed, and continued to walk. It was no longer dark. Speaking of which, he was still wondering on just what the technique Tee had used earlier was.. the one which had make him pretty much blind. He began to think about it, though was no rocket scientist in Genjutsu, he was pretty sure it wasn't that. He originally thought it was due to his sight failing, therefore remembered something about Genjutsu messing with one's senses using the mind. The thing that had gotten him to think otherwise was his sensory skills, he could sense chakra on the forest's flooring. It must have been Ninjutsu, he figured. He didn't get the good chance to explore around, as best as he could, what with not being able to see in the dark 'illusion' as he preferred to call it.
He walked, the sun was nearly in the center of the sky. It was growing closer to the afternoon, and he hadn't began the training he had wanted to. Though he had gotten a nice attempt in the use of wood release, having barely even used his skills, he grinned. He began to think how powerful of a shinobi he could become if he focused around his wood nature release, his kekkei genkai of the Senju clan. There were few clouds in the sky, one barely covering the sun, the rest were separated in the sky. The clouds were traveling int he opposite direction he was, due to the wind. He was moving against the wind. The wind was moving gently, though it felt somewhat stronger due to him moving against it.
He began to think. Having tested out one of the two jutsu he wanted to test out, he was wondering where to begin his training.. he could always start of with.. 'that'. 'That' being something involving something he did during his spar with Tee. He had signed a scroll using his blood. He bit his thumb - the wound had already healed - and used his thumb to write his name on a blank space on the scroll. It was a summoning scroll, he was told. If not, he just wasted a LOT of ryo. At least, enough ryo to where he could earn it back in a weeks worth of work.. something he wouldn't exactly look forward to. He had no idea on what exactly this 'summoning' was, nor the abilities it had. Though he had a feeling that this scroll would pay for itself quite soon. He was indeed going to be starting off with this. With a grin, he took the scroll out of his pocket, and began to wonder. He tossed it up into the air, it would flip one hundred and eighty degrees before landing back in his hand. He began to repeat the process. Throwing up the scroll, having it rotate one hundred and eighty degrees, all for it to land back in his hand. A little time consumer, he figured. When he arrived far enough from his original forest, he grinned. He then placed the scroll back into his pocket, it was just a simple time consuming trick after all. He took it out for no other reason, as he believed he only had needed to sign it to be capable of summoning whatever the scroll could summon. With a gulp, he bit his thumb to where it began to bleed, lightly though. He began to perform hand seals, and then slammed the palm of his right hand, the one with the bleeding thumb, onto the ground. A strange.. 'symbol', if it could be called that, appeared on the ground. A poof of smoke appeared, and began to surround the area. It covered his entire body, and had a radius of ten or so feet. He wondered what his 'summoning' would look like.
The smoke caused from the summoning began to disappear, soon enough he would see his summoning. A small shadow began to appear in the last bit of smoke, when suddenly the small figure began to speak, "Who dare summon me during my break?!?" As the smoke cleared he saw a small, black creature. It seemed somewhat loud, and perhaps arrogant, though he only heard of one sentence from the beast. He couldn't identify the species, he hadn't seen something like this before, hence why Inijo stared at it a bit before it asked, "Who the hell are you?"
"My name is Inijo. Senju, Inijo." He said, introducing himself, and bothering to mention his surname, which he doesn't mention often in case of there being an opponent who knows much about his clan.
"Senju.. what the hell are they?" The beast asked, it clearly didn't know much about the Senju, besides it's name, though he had just learned that.
"A clan, my family." He replied, and continued to stare at the beast, it seemed slightly rude, and didn't seem to care for manners. "Now, who and what the hell are you?"
"... Isn't it clear as to what I am? God, you're an idiot. I'm a Salamander, clearly. My name is Kurdoi." It replied, he assumed Kurdoi was a male. He had black skin, with bits of blue. It was strange indeed. It stated it's species was a Salamander, he assumed a type of animal, though he had never seen one. Perhaps he wasn't looking hard enough, or perhaps that just didn't leave around mountains. "So, idiot, what did you need to summon me here?" The Salamander named Kurdoi continued with a question. 'Needed?' Apparently you needed something to summon a salamander? Perhaps that was the laws of the summoning contract, or perhaps Kurdoi was more experienced and therefore was only called during battles.
"Oh, nothing really. I was just trying out this scroll which was supposed to summon something - you - which I had recently purchased." Inijo explained, while pulling out his scroll. He opened it up and showed Kurdoi the spot where he signed.
"Oh? A new shinobi attempting to fight alongside the Salamanders eh?.." Kurdoi continued, the way he spoke made it seem like his species seem somewhat skilled, either that or it was arrogance, either way, he was enjoying the sound of being capable of fighting along side another species in battle. Sure he could adopt a fighting pet, a familiar, though this was simpler and free, ish. Of course the scroll had some price set to it, though after that it seemed more smooth than having a pet. They aren't around you twenty four seven, you couldn't bond with them easily if they fall in battle, you'll be less upset in battle should they die.
"Somewhat, I suppose" Inijo replied. Kurdoi simply sighed.
"Alright then. Though, to do this, you shall first need to beat me in a fight! For I am the most powerful of all the Salamanders, therefore I can only grant you permission!" Inijo raised his eyebrow in reply. Kurdoi was indeed arrogant.
"very well." He said, beginning to make distance between himself and Kurdoi. He stared at the Salamander, who was no more than ten meters away.
"Before we begin, what is your ranking as a shinobi?" Kurdoi asked. He seemed to be interested in his rank, which of course was genin. Inijo figured that Kurdoi was lying, and wanted to be precautious on whether or not to plan ahead. If Inijo told him he was a Genin he would most likely be cocky and arrogant, therefore he wouldn't fight all out. Then again, the Salamander may actually be high in rankings, assuming that Salamanders had rankings for their 'ninja system' he assumed they have, considering they can use jutsu and such..
"I'm a genin, of Kumogakure." he said. "What rank, if Salamanders have rankings, are you?" He asked after answering the Salamander's question. He figured it polite to answer a question for asking a question.
Kurdoi replied by scrunching his eyes, to where they were hardly open. He replied. "D Ranked, equivalent to your genin rank I believe.. though this is only because I don't try to rank up." Inijo simply sighed, when he took note of the Salamander coming towards him at a slow speed. He wasn't very fast, not at all. Inijo's chakra supply had certainly recovered, mainly, though did he really need to use jutsu? Simply kicking the beast a a few meters would do.. though, then again, might as well sport the beast.
"Very well then." He said, letting it travel seven meters before he dashed back and held a hand seal. He could only use one jutsu for this fight. He grinned, it was all he needed for this salamander. As he dashed back he held a hand seal, it was the snake hand seal. It wasn't that hard to believe that after a few hours of resting up that he could use at least one high ranking ninjutsu technique. In this case he was using an S ranking technique that made a "man"-made forest. The trees could grow large, though he decided to avoid that. A forest grew, and he jumped up on a branch, leaving Kurdoi on the ground.
He figured his dark clothing game him the advantage when it came to hiding. Sure Kurdoi was small, but Inijo had chakra sensory so he didn't really need to visually see Kurdoi to fight him, especially since he was so small. He was currently wearing a short-sleeved T shirt. He was also wearing black pants which somewhat resembled jeans. Wrapped around his right leg, above his pants, was a small pouch used to hold two chop sticks of his. They weren't normal chop sticks, no. They were slightly longer, more special chop sticks used for combat. It was strange to see chop sticks in battle, hence why he used them. No one expected these chop sticks to do what they do. They are capable of piercing through people and certain objects due to how sharp it is. He also wore a belt, which's main purpose wasn't entirely for keeping up his pants in battle, but for holding a pouch which was attached to it. The pouch held weapons smaller than his chop sticks, such as Kunai knives, Shuriken, and explosive tags. He had a single Kunai knife resting in that pouch.
He had used his chop sticks in his last battle, with Tee. It was a simple spar, though he used it to destroy two clones. After piercing through the clones, they disappeared, into a large amount of electricity rather than a cloud of smoke. After that, Inijo was trapped in darkness. Well, more like blinded. He wasn't really sure as to how it's caused, though he assumed that it was caused by Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. If ninjutsu, it would supposedly be an advanced nature release, similar to wood release, Inijo's kekkei genkai. After that, the spar ended and the darkness faded. He then walked over to pick up his chop sticks, and moved on to here.
He remained twenty five meters in the air, holding his hand seal. Kurdoi was on the ground, seemingly exploring, he could see something moving around, and assumed it was Kurdoi. He had already gotten a hold of Kurdoi's chakra signature, so he could tell it was him. Inijo began to think, he had enough chakra for it.. though it would presumably result in a failed attempt. He was thinking about performing the Hidden Mist technique, and using the moisture among the air, and possible the roots, and other things to create the mist. He had no original source of water.. though he figured one attempt wouldn't hurt. He released the seal of the snake and began to perform hand seals. A light mist began to appear. He was amazed by his own accomplished feat. He could control the mist without the use of hand seals. And by control it, he could control the density. This allowed for the target to see even less while in the mist. Kurdoi must be going through hell right now, trying to navigate his way through both trees and roots. He began to think. The roots and trees both had his chakra signature, as well as the mist. The mist could conceal the roots and trees both visually and 'mentally' he supposed he could call chakra sensory. The ultimate combination.. he figured. He grinned, he had something new for the upcoming tournament.
With a grin, he decided to end the spar. He lowered his multi-weaven mask, it had caused some problems with his breathing, he didn't like it. He preferred the fresh air rather than it being semi-blocked off. He jumped down, so he could be on level with Kurdoi. Inijo was trying something, he was still a little new with this technique, though he had began to grow in it's use. He had, in his own opinion, used it somewhat skillfully in his spar with Tee. He attempted to do something. He focused, and began to manipulate the trees and their roots. It was another outstanding feat accomplished, in his own opinion. The trees began to rotate, however that wouldn't help him. He underestimated his opponent.
Kurdoi walked up to Inijo, the mist was light so he could barely see through it. He should have made it denser before he had jumped down. Manipulating wouldn't save him now, as Kurdoi began to produce a small cloud of gas. He grew tired, having inhaled a bit of it. Was it.. poison? It could very well be so.. he should have done some research on Salamanders before actually fighting one with Ninja capabilities. He fell down, unconscious, though not dead.
Next thing Inijo knew, he was conscious in a tournament, the first round being exact. It was strange. He was fighting a somewhat shadowy figure, in a large arena. The seats were empty, however, the only three present were Inijo himself, an announcer, and a strange, unnamed opponent. The figure had an unsheathed Katana blade. It seemed powerful, even from the mighty distance there was between the two. He could see chakra forming off the blade, Raiton chakra, similar to what he has seen from Tee when he used the jutsu which had made birds chirp, whether artificial noises or natural ones coming from an animal, or when he used his special Shadow clones.
For a brief second, it seemed to be a simple staring contest, until Inijo made the first move. He was grinning, as he began to motion towards making the hand seal known as the snake. He was stopped before he could finish. The man had dashed fifty meters in less than a second, not even a hint of a blur caught Inijo's eyes. His blade pierced through his chest, the tip of the blade passed through his chest, not extending enough to hit a vital point. The blade had also stopped his hand seal, via placing the blade between it before he could finish it. His body felt numb, not only his torso but his arms as well. Was it the lightning chakra? He simply stared at his opponent, who seemed to be grinning under a multi-weaven mask. "Will he finish him?!?" He heard the announcer shout out. All of the sudden the blade pushed more deep in, piercing his left lung. He took the blade out, and resheathed it, then began to walk towards the exit before disappearing in little less than a blur. He began to fall forward. His hair being forced back due to the force of the wind moving against him. He soon fell down on the ground, dying. He was having trouble breathing, due to his lung being pierced. Blood was also gushing through the pierced wound, as well as into his left lung, causing him to cough up some blood every now and then. He began to slowly close his eyes, apparently he didn't train hard enough.. though something was strange. He didn't feel pain. Was this the feeling of death?.. No, it was actually something less painful, and something you can be woken up from.
Speaking of waking up, Inijo opened his eyes to find himself where he fell unconscious. "Finally your awake! Shitty brat." Kurdoi said, despite sounding somewhat younger than him. "Geez you sleep too long. Then again, that's my natural abilities, anyone would sleep for that long." He said, bragging that he assumed he won this spar.
"Abilities? How long was I out for?" Inijo questioned, wondering just how long that gas had put him to sleep.
"Not too long." He replied.
".. Then why are you complaining?" Inijo questioned further.
"For fun. Why are you asking?"
"Just wondering. By the way, how old are you?"
"Not too much older than you, I'd imagine." The salamander replied, though it was assuming Inijo's age. And then there was possible animal age differences between species, an example being dog years being something four years in a year, while humans were a year in a year.
"Anyways, rematch?" Inijo asked, this most likely being his last question.
"Nah." It replied. Inijo figured it had something to do with his natural abilities, "You've proven yourself worthy of calling me into a battle, in my opinion.. considering your rank and level of jutsu.." It continued. An excuse, Inijo figured.
"Very well then.." He said. Kurdoi then disappeared, in a small poof of smoke which surrounded his original area.
He sighed, his spar being over, and he had improved in not only one but two techniques. The only problem with today's training session was that he had exhausted himself greatly. The gas which caused him to sleep had helped, somewhat. He had gotten a semi-nice sleep, as far as sleeping on the ground goes. He looked up in the sky, noon had already passed. Realizing this.. somehow made him hungry. Perhaps it was the early breakfast and the lack of early lunch, in fact it was most likely. He sighed. Luckily, though, he had packed a lunch. It was unlikely to have been messed up, due to it being in a small plastic container. The hard plastic prevented it from being messed up when fallen on, so in the two spars, whenever he fell, his lunch would have been protected.
He had packed his lunch yesterday for one main reason; he wouldn't have time in the morning. Though strangely he had enough time to prepare a bowl of cereal. Though, would have been possible to missed out on his good spar this morning if he hadn't eaten breakfast in the morning. He sighed, and then decided to jump up on the branch of one of his trees. He was thinking on whether or not to eat now or wait until he gets home. He could do either, it wasn't as if he would starve simply by waiting an extra half an hour.. Maybe longer, depending on how long he took.
He sighed, then took a seat on the branch he created, as well as the tree it was attached to, as well as the forest the tree was planted in. He hadn't yet got the chance to completely examine the weather, as he figured the forest itself would interfere with wind speeds, and what he could see in the sky. He took out a small plastic container, as he rested his back against the trunk of the tree. He began to open it, inside there were two 'rice cakes'. A food he had somewhat enjoyed.
He took one and gripped onto it. He then began to bring it up, next to his mouth. He then took a bite of the small rice cake. It made the shape of the originally circular rice cake change from a circle into that similar to seventy five percent of the moon being full, or empty, it was in the shape a crescent. He continued to eat it, soon enough finishing off the first one. Then he began to feast on the second one. After he had finished his prepared lunch, he had still felt a bit hungry. He decided to make ramen whenever he would arrive back home.
He stood up on the branch, and then sighed. His hunger having not yet been satisfied, and he figured the trip back would only make him more hungry. Though, at least he had gotten some good training done today. Having performed two spars, one with Tee, and one with Kurdoi... Both of which he technically 'lost', as he was defeated against Kurdoi, and had offered to end the spar with Tee, mainly to avoid Tee from jumping on his head.. He began to think. He was wondering about the tournament, just who was entering it? And who would he have to fight? He hardly knew any genin, or those around his age, so at most he could figure Souji and Tee. The two would be strong opponents, Souji having the ability to fly, but transform into a rather demonic state. He remembered the boy having two wings, as well as horns on his forehead. He also remember that he was seriously injured, either the transformation alone had done that, or perhaps it was the clone that Tee had cast that Souji was fighting. Though, then again, having fought some of Tee's clones himself he doubted the clone could have done much. Sure, it had some effects after it's destroyed, though he hadn't fully explored into that. For all he knew the clones simply electrocuted anyone within range when the clones are destroyed, though then again they could do nothing, or much more. He sighed, wondering if he would have to face either of the two, if not both in the tournament. It would be a pain, sure. But the matches may also end in Inijo's defeat, judging on their past spar(s). He then thought of something, Tee was most likely holding back more powerful techniques, considering he was joining in the tournament too. He may have been holding back trump cards as well. Considering Inijo was holding back two 'powerful techniques' that he had in his possession, he began to think what Tee could do, as well as Souji.
He sighed, though looked forward to possibly fighting the two in the tournament. After all, he wasn't entering to win, he was entering to test the capabilities of his kekkei genkai, and the feats of his training. He didn't really care for any grand prize, or winning the tournament in general, though he wouldn't mind if he did win. It would be an accomplishment, and one could never have too many of those. He began to cross the borders of the forests. He passed through the recent forest he had made, and on out of it. He jumped from the tree tops. He had originally been dashing through them, jumping between the branches. He reached the ground. From his current point, he could already see the other forest he had made. He looked up into the sky, it was cloudier than it was earlier today. The wind had picked up too. Perhaps there was a storm coming.. It was likely, considering the clouds in the sky covered most of it. The sun was barely showing in the air, due to the amount of clouds. And then it was windy, windier than earlier. The sudden pick up of wind must have dragged the storm clouds a few miles away to here, it's possible that the storm would be a simple rain, though it was more likely to be more intense with how dark the clouds were. Then again, he was basing this all on an assumption. It could just sprinkle a bit of rain, or it may not even leak a single drop down on the mountains. Either way, just in case, he needed to hurry to avoid the more dangerous walk up the mountains. He figured a wet path was a more dangerous one, especially when it's up a mountain.
He began to dash, wanting to get home before any possible rain fall began to fall from the clouds above head. Soon enough he was back in the village, running across a few metal platforms in attempts to get back home. He was still dashing, ran had not yet fell down, or so he assumed. He began to walk when he grew closer to his home, and began to walk up to his door. He was panting, he was tired. Not only did he have to run the entire way back, and walk there, but he also had two spars on the way from home. He was quite exhausted, though he was more hungry than anything.
As soon as he walked in, rain began to pour from the skies. He turned around and shut his door, then sighed. He had made it home in time, and now he could begin to prepare the rest of his lunch. He began to take off his shoes, which had a slight bit of mud on them. He then walked off the indoor mat, which was used to placed dirty shoes upon, and onto the carpet of his living room. He began to slowly travel for his kitchen, where he would drag out a small bowl, and a package of ramen. He opened the box which contained it, then began to fill the box up with some water. Once the water filled the box about seventy five percent of the way, he put it in his microwave and began to heat it up. The flavoring was kept separate from the ramen when it cooked, instead it was placed in a small plastic bag in powdered form. He would simply watch, as steam began to rise from the inside of the box, fogging up the window to see the food through. When the timer made a ding noise, he took the box out using a towel. He used a towel for two reasons, one to hold onto the hot box, and two to clean up the water which over flowed out of the box.
When he was finished with the towel, he simply threw it onto the floor. He had no more use of it, and decided to do laundry tomorrow, or maybe the day after the tournament, due to his extreme exhaustion, therefore he may be sore until then. He began to pour some of the water down his sink, and then poured the remainder into a bowl with the ramen. He walked over to the other side of the counters, on the other side of the fridge and picked up the package containing the flavoring. It was beef flavored, something he had been in the mood for lately.
He began to eat, soon enough he would finish his beef flavored bowl of ramen. It was good, in his opinion. It went well with the bits of vegetables, such as carrots in it. He didn't really like vegetables being in his ramen, though he had been so hungry today he didn't really care to pick them out. After he finished, he placed the bowl into his sink, where he would wash it eventually, and began to walk over to his couch, where he would rest his head and feet on each arm of the couch, deciding to relax.
