Home again at last! (Private)

Kei merely nodded as she spoke, until she asked how old he was. "H-How old I am?" He said aloud, wondering exactly how old he was. He started counting on his fingers for a while, balling his fists, shaking his head angrily, and trying again. Eventually, he came to his conclusion. "I'm... Fifteen, I think. Fifteen years old. They put me in some kind of seal that preserved my body, so that I didn't age as fast. That's why I look so young." He explained, looking back at his hands as if he still couldn't believe how little he'd changed. His ears perked up again, and he looked back at Kira. "You'll really let me stay with you, though?" He asked her, scratching the back of his head and looking at her pleadingly. however little it was, a home was a home.

"That's just wrong.... And of coarse I would, Kei. What are sisters for?" Kirameki said, smiling. Then his age hit her. "Wait, you said 15, right? I'm only 14.... Guess you're the older one then," she giggled. "C'mon Kei, let's get you home."

"Really? You mean it?" Kei would say excitedly, his tail ceasing to move. He would attempt to hug his sister, before her age sank in. "Wait... you're my YOUNGER sister?" He would ask, looking at her, confused. She was a good few inches taller then him, but that was to be expected, since he'd barely aged at all."Well, I suppose looks can be deceiving..." He said, Staring at his small hands. In hindsight, he remembered his father saying something to him, long ago, about having siblings. His memory of the times before he was abducted, however, was very faint. He would shake his head, walking with her again. "So... you live in a tent?" He would ask, still very confused by everything that was going on. He didn't know if he was happy, sad, exited, or discouraged. There was a roller coaster of emotions going through him, and he couldn't tell one from another.

"I mean it, Kei. And yeah, a tent. it's pretty big though, and waterproof... I share it right now with my Leopard, Yukihana, but it's big enough for you too. Like I said, I'm saving up for an apartment," she said, starting slowly toward her tent. "Have you heard about Aging Pills before? They're supposed to make you're body older, or at least look older. I hear they're sold in Konoha, and I'm going there soon anyway. Want to come with me? We could get you a few so you look you're age," she said taking his hand.

Kei laughed before he could stop himself. 
"A waterproof tent? Here?" He said, smiling a little. "No disrespect meant, I just find that funny." He said, before walking alongside her, listening to her talk. "Aging pills? No, I hadn't heard of them before..." He said, looking at the ground. It would be pretty nice to look his age again, and a trip to Konoha sounded fun, so he looked up and nodded at her. "Sure, I'll go with you. Are you going for the Chunin exams?" He asked her, allowing her to take his hand again as they walked towards the tent.

Kiraemki giggled in spite of herself. "Yeah, I guess that /is/ pretty funny. And no, actually I'm touring all the major villages with my two little buddies, Kojin and Rajin. They're eight, and I think of Kojin like a little brother. Rajin wanted to tag along, so I said he could. Now we have the protocol four-man squad anyway, so it's perfect. You'll come too, right?" she said as they walked.

"Of course!" Said Kei without hesitation. Seeing the world was a far better alternative to staying locked inside, and he'd never really left the desert, anyways. Not even when he was captured, their hideout was still sitting in a rocky crevice, somewhere in the sandy plains of the world. Then he registered the bit about her two friends. He didn't want to irritate them at all...  "You're sure your friends won't mind? I don't wanna be a third wheel..." He would say, looking at the ground. It was one of those things people said without actually meaning it. He wanted to go, no matte what, but he wanted to be polite, too.

Kirameki smiled. "Well Keiji, technically you'd be the fourth wheel, and a cart can't move without four wheels. You're welcome to come, don't you worry about it," she said. Kirameki liked her big brother already. She wished she could do something, say something to make his horrible childhood go away and be okay, but life just wasn't fair like that. So she'd do as much as she could to make him feel welcome and comfortable. She'd make this place his home again.

Kirameki could see her tent from where they were by now. It honestly was a huge thing, the size of a normal room with enough space to stand freely and walk around. She even had dressers, a desk, a huge air mattress, and a chair inside. There was a fire pit outside the tent that still held glowing embers, and a very small, yet clean and fresh, pond beside the tent. It was just a tiny thing, about a foot in diameter, that held water that bubbled up from underground. Yukihana was sitting outside the tent my the water pool, lapping at it lazily.

Kei smiled when Kira told him it was ok. "T...Thank you, Kira." He said, staring at his feet. He was so glad that he was past the low point in his life, and was now able to experience real life again. He already liked his younger sister, a lot. They'd known each other for less then half an hour, yet she was already inviting him into her home. He'd have to make sure he chipped in and helped her get that apartment. It was the least he could do. 

That was when they arrived at the tent. It was a huge tent, to say the least, and it even had a little pond by it, with what he could only assume was fresh, clean, drinking water, seeing as a large cat was drinking from it. Kei hardly gave the cat a second glance. Sure, it had been a few years, but they were still "Normal" to him. "So this is it?" He would ask, looking around. Without waiting for her to answer, he would mutter. "It's amazing."

"It's no problem, really, and I know. Home, sweet home to me," she smiled, leading him inside. It felt even bigger inside than it looked from the outside. Even will all the furniture and a mini fridge, it wasn't cramped in the least. Yukihana came trotting in after them, the five-foot feline making a bulls-eye for Keiji and just falling at his feet, rubbing them with her cheeks and claiming him as something that was hers, as all feline's do. 'My boy. Boy is mine now. Boy looks like Kirameki, with Kirameki's ears and tail. I like my boy.' Yukihana thought, closing her eyes as she lay on Keiji's feet.
