ASAA(Armor) Inheritance
Sat Aug 03, 2013 5:38 pm
Taro was tired. He had been sparring with his father for the entire day. They only took short breaks in between the spars, getting a quick drink and things like that, then they were back and sparring again. Taro didn't know if he could go for much longer, but he would push onwards, not giving up. Taro also knew that his father was tired too, which was surprising because in their earlier fights he hadn't even broken a sweat. Taro and his father went in circles, Taro attacking, his father counter-attacking, and Taro countering his father's counter-attack. They kept landing blow after blow, both of them sweating like pigs. "You're getting good." said his father, punching for Taro's face. "Thanks." said Taro, grabbing his father's arm and deflecting it away while simultaneously punching with his other hand for his father. Taro's father saw this coming and grabbed Taro's hand with his other free hand and held Taro's hand. Taro tried to break free, but his father had a grip like iron. Taro thought quickly, trying to figure out a way to get out of the grip. Taro had an idea. He kneed his father in the side, making his father release his grip on his hand. Taro then quickly reversed the grip, now gripping his fathers arm, and quickly put his father into an arm bar. Taro's father struggled, trying to get loose, but Taro had a grip that equaled his father's. Taro thought that his father would try and break free like Taro had done, but Taro's father just turned his head to Taro, looking him straight in the eyes. He was smiling as he said, "You have gotten really good. I submit. You win." Taro released his grip on his father, and his father turned his entire body and bowed to Taro. Taro followed suit, bowing in return. As they both cam up, Taro's father said, "I think it's about time you had this." Taro was confused, wondering what his father meant by that. But Taro's father had already gone over to the old oak chest that had been passed down from generation to generation. He opened it and brought out something black. Taro's father closed the chest and came over to stand in front of Taro. "This has been passed down from generation to generation. Now, I am passing it down to you." said Taro's father, stretching out his hands to give the gift to Taro. Taro took it, deducing that it was some sort of full upper body armor. Taro weighed it, knowing that it was steel from the touch but was confused at it's weight. "It's a special mixture that allows greater flexibility and speed while in combat." said his father, almost as if he had read Taro's mind. Taro's father smiled, saying, "Go ahead, try it on." Taro followed his father's instruction, putting it on. Taro discovered that it felt like an extra skin, impressed at the feeling. Taro's father then went on to explain it's special function's. "The knuckles on each hand can hold 3 kunai each. The kunai can be shot out using a mixture of chakra and your strength. Underneath each arm, there is a special place that holds one 7 inch blade each. These too can be shot out, but not fully. They are shot out only enough to impale the opponent on the blade. Then finally, on either side of the chest, there are special sheaths that hold one 14 inch sword each. The 14 inches refers to the blade length, not the blade and the handle. These cannot be shot out, but can be easily accessed for easy sword retrieval." said his father, pointing out each and every compartment as he explained what each one did. Taro was amazed that this armor could be so versatile. Taro's father continued on, saying, "In recent years, certain attachments have been made to further increase this armors versatility. This is an assassins armor, used for easy weapon retrieval or firing. Use it wisely." said his father, finishing his speech. Taro went over to where he had placed his Ninjato earlier in the day and placed it in the sheath on the left side of his chest, so that he could easily pull it with his right hand. Taro turned back to his father and said, "This armor is amazing. Thank you father." said Taro, with a big smile on his face. Taro's father returned the smile, saying, "It was my father's, and it used to be his father's, and it used to be his father's. So as you can see, it is quite old. Unfortunately, they never really used it. I hope that you can use it to help. Remember, use the armor wisely." said his father, sounding like a wise sage instead of a 40 year old man who sold lava rocks for a living. Taro smiled, knowing that he would use it wisely. "I will use it wisely father." said Taro, beaming as he said it. Taro then reached for his Ninjato, quickly retrieving it from its sheath and holding it front of him. He did this all in one quick motion, looking as though it was done in the blink of an eye. Taro's father smiled approvingly, clapping his hands as he said, "Very good. I could hardly even see that retrieval. The armor fits well too." said his father, now looking him up and down to see if there was anything wrong with it. After looking at it for a bit, his father looked up at Taro, satisfied. "Your grandfather would be proud." said Taro's father, with near tears in his eyes. Taro smiled and clapped his hand on his father's back. "Let's go see how mom likes the armor." said Taro, leading his father towards the door. "Oh, I have shown it to her before. She hates the color." his father said, laughing while he did. Taro laughed along, and the two men went through the door, heading towards the house, and towards a good hot meal.
