Taro's Clan Element Training [done]
Sun Aug 04, 2013 2:54 pm
Taro was going up to the top of the volcano. He had nothing to fear for the volcano was dormant. Which was kinda ironic Taro thought, since his family made its money from selling volcano rock as souvenirs. Taro didn't think too much about it, since there was enough volcano rock here to last his family two more lifetimes. Taro pushed onwards towards the top of the volcano, one step at a time. He had prepared a pack that could keep him for two or more days. Taro didn't think he would stay at the top of the volcano for more than two days though. With any luck, he would be finished today. At least, that was what Taro hoped. Taro thought over how he was going to be able to do this. Taro was trying to train his clan element, Hikariton, or Light Release. His father was very proficient in the manipulation of light, as Taro had found out so painfully. Taro had had more than a few broken noses when his father used the light to trick Taro that the way in front of him was clear, while it really had a tree or two in the way. Taro rubbed his nose, feeling it as though he had broken it yet again. Taro had asked his father more than a few times to teach him, but he had always said later. It had always been, "When you're older." or, "You're chakra isn't at the right level." His father taught him about it and what it does, but he had never taught Taro how to utilize it. Every time, a different excuse, every time, the same answer: No. But finally, Taro was going to learn how to utilize it. His father told him to go to the top of the volcano, nothing more, nothing less. His father had told him that what he was taught should suffice in getting him started in manipulating light to his advantage. Taro had been indignant at first, since this meant that Taro could have started at any time. He had voiced this to his father, who had replied with, "No, Hikariton requires finesse and a certain amount of chakra to use, none of which you had until now my boy." Taro mulled this over, finally agreeing with much sighing that his father was right. So, Taro had packed up a few things that would serve him well in his vacation at the top of the volcano. Taro remembered all this in less than a minute, still a little sore over his father's comment on him having no finesse. Taro broke through his reverie to find that he was near the summit. Taro decided that since he would be up here anyways for a while, he sprinted the rest of the way, getting there in no time due to his enhanced speed. Taro stopped at the summit, peering in over the edge of the volcano to see the belly of this ancient beast. Taro could see nothing but black as far as the eye could see. Taro moved away from the edge, sitting down and putting his pack down next beside him. Taro figured he should get started right away, not wanting to waste any time. Taro inhaled deeply, held it for a moment, then exhaled, focusing on the training his father had given him. His father's words flowed through his mind, "Hikariton, or light, is an energy, much like our own chakra. All it takes is your own chakra to shape the light into what is needed, such as making it so you are invisible to your opponent, or making it so the opponent sees things that no one else can. You must merge your chakra with the light. This isn't so difficult to do. When the light touches your skin, you feel warm. This is because of light being a combination of lightning and fire. These elements you feel, and you can merge them with your chakra to create jutsu. This is the basis of a shinobi's chakra. Light can be manipulated. Light can be yours to control." Taro focused on these words, the basis of Hikariton training. He breathed deeply, exhaling, then breathing in again, repeating the process over and over again. Taro felt his chakra flowing through his body, as much like blood flowing through a person's veins. Taro forced his chakra to his hand, feeling it move through him, finally resting within his palm. Taro suddenly felt drained everywhere else, feeling very tired. Taro half expected to see light emanating from his palm, but there was nothing. Taro then tried focusing on the light around him, feeling the energy it was giving off, its chakra. Taro then willed the chakra to his hand. Taro was getting very tired indeed, knowing that this was a lot to do to a person, pushing all of one's chakra to a specific point. Taro shook these thoughts off, focusing in on the light. Taro imagined the light coming into his palm and fusing with his own chakra. He couldn't tell for sure if he was actually doing it, for he had closed his eyes from exhaustion. Taro willed his eyes open to see... nothing. Nothing was happening. Taro would have been angry had he not been tired. Taro released his grip keeping his chakra in one place slowly, allowing it to return to his body a little bit at a time so as not to overload his body. Finally, all of his chakra was at its proper place. Taro felt better, but he knew he would feel better if he had a bite to eat. Taro took out an apple, a delicious treat that Taro absolutely loved. He bit into the apple, savoring the juice from the apple running down his throat. Taro munched, looking around, then finally looked up at the sun. Judging by the sun's position in the sky, it was now three hours later then when he had first arrived. Holy God! thought Taro, thinking also that if it took him that long to accomplish nothing, then he might be here for the entire time. Taro decided to rest for another hour before attempting to try again. Taro filled that hour with little mind games that he had devised for occasions such as this. He didn't mind doing these kinds of things by himself. It felt good once in a while to be alone. After about an hour, Taro put all of the things he had gotten out of his pack away, and sat down to try again. Taro sat down, but something was nagging him. Something his father had told him, a crucial part to learning the Hikariton. What was it.... Taro thought, trying to remember what it was that was so important. Taro rattled his brain, looking for the elusive piece of advice. Finally, Taro remembered, then Taro felt like hitting himself for being so stupid. His father had told him not to overload his chakra into one spot. "If you do that, the spot will not be able to hold more energy. Think of it as a glass: if you have some water there to begin with, there is just enough to allow some more water from an outside force in. If you take away some water before adding some more, then you can add more water from the outside force. But, take away all water, and you won't have enough to drink to be able to have the energy to get the outside water (words of wisdom but also a bit of a joke). So, essentially, the less chakra in that place, the better." Taro also knew that once that happens, you could slowly add some more chakra to allow melding of your chakra with the light, allowing you to send the light out to mess with the opponent. But, Taro figured he should start with the basics. Taro breathed deeply, exhaling, then breathing again, getting into the same trance as before. Taro visualised some of his chakra moving away from his hand, allowing space for the light to reside. Taro felt the light move towards his hand, drawn towards the drop in energy. Taro continued to do this, keeping a delicate balance of no chakra and chakra. Taro opened his eyes to see that he was holding a ball of light! Taro had done it! Taro jumped up for joy, realizing that he could proudly show his father what he had done. Taro decided he would train for the light energy and chakra melding later, he wanted to show this to his family right away! Taro allowed some more chakra into his hand, forcing the light away. Taro looked around and grabbed his stuff, getting ready for the trek home. Taro looked up at the sky. Another three hours had passed, making it about 7 p.m. Just in time for dinner Taro thought with a grin on his face. Taro hoisted his stuff onto his shoulder, and started down the volcano. Taro was so proud of himself for being able to do it. Wait till dad sees it, thought Taro, relishing the the thought. Taro hurried down the volcano, getting to the bottom in not time. Taro decided that being slow was for old people, he would sprint all the way home. Taro decided to make it a race, hoping to get home in at least half a minute. Taro readied himself, and with a mental "Go!!!" he set off, sprinting for home and glory. Taro weaved in between the forest of dead trees, looking ahead for his house. Taro kept going, getting winded from the dead sprint but not caring. He wanted to get home as fast as possible! Taro ran and ran, making good time. Taro looked and saw the old oak that signified he was only about 20-30 meters away from home. Taro started to slow down, catching his breath as quickly as possible. Taro slowed into a walk, now being only about 15 meters away from home. Taro breathed in and out, catching his breath as quickly as possible. Taro kept walking, getting closer and closer by the second. Finally, Taro stood in front of the door, looking at the ornate furnishings. Taro beamed as he knocked on the doorway. He waited for what seemed like an eternity before the door was opened by his father. His father was surprised to see him, but quickly hiding his shock. "Well, you're home early." said his father, who raised his eyebrow in suspicion. "Have you got anything to show for you're few hours away?" Taro grinned, once again focusing some of his chakra away from his hand, allowing for some light to come. A faint glimmer showed at first, then a sparkle, and then it burst into a small glowing orb of light. His father looked down at the orb his son had created, then he looked up at his son, shock and pride written on the same face. "All of that, in only seven hours time?!" said his father, looking for the first time in his life genuinely stunned. "I guess I just have a natural talent for it." said Taro, who was by now feeling very good about himself. His father looked Taro straight in the eyes, a big smile on his face and what looked like liquid in his eyes. Taro was now the one who was stunned, for his father never cried. His father must have noticed that Taro noticed him crying, for he suddenly wiped his eyes with his sleeves. Taro's father breathed in deeply, getting himself composed again. This didn't take very long, considering Taro's father was normally a steadfast person. When Taro's father turned back to Taro, he was as stern as ever, though you could just see a hint of a smile on the old man's face. "Well then, let's get you something to eat. You're official Hikariton training begins tomorrow." said his father, grabbing Taro by the shoulder, both of them heading inside. Taro turned and pushed the doorway closed.

This is my clan element. I am allowed one main element, and one merged/clan element. And also, this clan element is made up of Fire and Lightning, not Fire and Wind.

Even if its fire & Lightning you still need both elements in order to learn your clan element
So I recommend putting this training on hold till you learn lightning. Then you can claim the rewards from here

No you may as a Genin learn a second element as well. You can obtain a second element at double the wc. Meaning for 4k you can learn a second element then you can go ahead and learn your clan/merged element
