D-Rank Mission:Capture the Prankster

Some people are just born stupid. Shinji had seen his fair share of them. In fact, he was now in hot pursuit of one of these stupid people. Having hit upon hard times Shinji found himself having to do missions once again. Apparently he had not really thought about a a retirement plan and there was no pension of anything for kage...maybe he had forgotten that paper. All the same the former kage was broke and here he was doing a d rank mission. It was a little bit humiliating to say the least, but he trudged through it. Plus he could do D rank missions all day long. Currently he was chasing down a graffiti "artist" also known as a vandal. Granted it was not much of a chase at all as it was more hide and seek.

Shinji could run down most anybody in the village without so much as a second thought, but finding people? Well that was a different story...a very different story. So, far all Shinji had been finding was the graffiti the vaunted artist left behind. However, he felt like he was getting close and, well, he was not wrong. Glancing up he could not help, but sigh to himself: the vandal was just a kid. He watched as the young kid spray painted a wall and then went on his way in an attempt to make his get away onto the roof of a smaller building. Naturally the kid would not make it far in the least as Shinji would move in a blur of motion and intercept him. When the kid found a former kage standing in front of him he quickly turned around and tried to walk away. However, Shinji would have none of that and simply moved in a blur in front of the kid again.

Thoroughly bored Shinji scratched his head and spoke up in a rather flat tone, "Ok, kid. The game is up follow me. Try to run and I'll catch you, so please make this easy..." Luckily the kid simply nodded a scared nod and followed Shinji to the mission control where he was taken into custody. With that mission done the sleepy Uzumaki went and collected his pay and went on his way. All in all it had been an easy mission. In the back of his mind the former kage wondered if all the other former kage were forced to go about doing menial D-rank missions. Shrugging to himself he made his way towards one of the inns he had not yet been thrown out of. As it turned out orange soda mixed great with alcohol and Shinji was not the best drunk in the world, thus leading to some...unfortunate instances involving trashed rooms and more often than not trashed hotels...ah the joins of being retried. There was no way he could do the thing he had been doing while being a kage. Perhaps he would try a new soda soon...grape...no...Only time would tell, but with ryo in his pocket Shinji was happy.
