Reek, reek, it rhymes with freak! [Inv only]
Sun Sep 01, 2013 6:42 pm
And through a series of events things had ended up like this. Gilgamesh was in the possession of a man he knew nothing of, so he would have to inquire about whom he was when he awoke. He appeared to be in some sort of coma.. he was unsure, but that irrelevant for now. Vergil Hyuuga was now strapped tightly into the torture cross that Gilgamesh had recently invented, his clothing minimal leaving him in only ragged brown pants that Gilgamesh had found abandoned by a tramp. The items and clothing of Vergil Hyuuga hidden in another part of the caves. All that mattered now was if Gilgamesh would give the man a change of appearance.. a new scar, perhaps? A new deformity?

Gilgamesh now re-entered the cave to see the man still strewn across the cross. He did not appear to have changed a single bit except now seemingly a little more malnourished.. That could prove to be a problem. He would feed the man himself but he did not wish to dirty his hands more than they had already been. Instead, he opening the telecommunication link to Kaori and spoke to her, "Dove, I require your immediate aid at the caves. The one that links into multiple caverns."

Kaori was in her secret lab. It was a mess. She seemed to have misplaced something, something very important to her, but what it was eluded her. Or maybe she was just imagining she had something that important down here. Suddenly she felt a link, the mental connection between herself and Gilgamesh was opened and a message was delivered, her companion calling her. Calling her a Dove too, a title she did not remember earning in any way. However small and weak she was compared to all the big fish in these waters, she could almost smell the potential coming, emanating, radiating from that Uzumaki boy. At first she might have been thinking of tricking him, like she was thinking with everyone else, after all he did not seem all that bright with all those almost idiotic expressions, some might even find him touched in the head. But, she came to realize that aura did not come from nowhere and once the girl adapted to the way he spoke, she found it charming, enchanting even, giving a whole different perspective, like they were living in a different world. And she would support him and assist him. And let their foes make the same mistake she did. She knew walking beside the boy would bring her kills. So with a faint smile, she would dismiss whatever broken mood she was in for losing something precious and send a reply while leaving her basement. "Sure, I know the spot. Be right there."
It took her a few minutes to get to the caves and she was now walking in the narrow veins of nature. Approaching the spot the girl would stop. It was around here, but she could not see anything or anyone, so it must be hidden in some way. After stopping she would call the boy, her voice not loud enough to echo through the whole cave, but enough for him to hear if he was around.

Gilgamesh was not a fan of waiting. Why should a king have to wait for his subjects? Surely, it should be the other way around.. Regardless, Gilgamesh waited at the entrance of his section of the cave with his arms folded over his chest. Due to the nature of the caves he was vaguely hidden by the cloak of a shadow, disguising most of his body but a single red eye would be able to he picked up through the darkness as well as his blonde spiky hair. Once he saw the girl, he called out as she did not seem to be able to see him. "An accomplice has gave me a rare gift; the life of someone I know not of.. yet." With that, he spun around and started to walk into his section of the cave that was hidden in the shadows of the complex. After a small amount of walking, a cross would be able to be seen in the center of the room with a practically nude man attached to it. Stopping a few meters in front of the man, he still appeared unconscious which was really rattling and he responded with a faint shake of the head. "If I recall didn't you dwell into the more.. medical side of things?"

Gilgamesh would respond almost immediately and Kaori would then notice him, partially shrouded in shadows, one of boy's eye glowing devilish red. A phenomenon not yet observed, Kaori would note to herself. The boy would turn around and lead her into a more secluded section of the cave system while explaining that he was given... a person? Soon they would enter a cavern and the Vex would notice a bit cross like thing and a man attached to it. The man was mostly naked, only the lower half covered, he appeared to be unconscious. Her companion would stop in front of him making an expression which suggested she should take a look at him from her medical perspective. Walking up to the man the girl noted an impressive physical build. Merely from a look she could not say about their training and if they were ninja, but this was no street rat and made the girl question who and where they caught or found somebody like this. Question soon be be answered as you will see. First she decided to diagnose the cause of his unconscious state. Putting two fingers on the man's carotid artery she would confirm a steady but weak pulse. After raising the eyelids she would check a few reflexes. Soon the conclusion was made that the guy was in coma, which was usually caused by some sort of head trauma. During her investigation Kaori noticed that he man was very weak, in a medical sense, most likely due to not being sustained properly. She would then imagine him in Gilgamesh's care - unconscious, unable to eat or drink, the guy probably had no way of feeding his prisoner. Glancing briefly at the man's master, the girl would proceed behind him, to examine his neck only to confirm her speculations of a hit to that area being the cause of this state. Placing a palm on the back of the man's head, she would start channeling her chakra, looking for anything she could fix by reattaching neuron connections. In a moment the injury was found. The brain structure referred to as reticular activating system, responsible, in a sense, for waking the brain for conscious activity. It was damaged but nothing she could not fix. Before doing anything she would address Gilgamesh again. "I could revive him. But if you insist on keeping him this way, he requires a plasma drip otherwise he would essentially starve and die. However, if you wish to access his knowledge, his revival is not necessary. The brain is mostly intact, they're just 'sleeping', I can use a technique to access his mind as it is."

Gilgamesh allowed his single eye to gaze over the female that appeared to be appraising the man he now held captive. He was very interested to find out why he was in the care of Xuro before, and why Xuro had just willingly gave him a body. Wasnt that a crime in the major villages? He admired the amount of trust Xuro held for him, but he shrugged his shoulders somewhat. There was no point in betraying someone whom could aid him in his own endeavors. He waved one hand towards the girl in a single gesture to conjoin her and the man, "I care little for his revival or his well-being for now; I see not the need to keep an unimportant rat living off my 'tender' care. I wish to know whom he is, what he's done, why he was where I was given him. I'll decide what to do with him after the questions are answered."

Hearing her companions will, Kaori would do somewhat between a nod and bow, then appear in front of the man again, place her right hand on his forehead and close her eyes. As the technique activated, the life of Vergil Hyuuga flashed in her mind. As the cross proceeded to drain the man's chakra, so would she proceed deeper into his past. What might have seemed as years to her were but a few moments in reality. Taking her hand away the girl would slowly exhale, concentrating on processing all that information. Still with her eyes closed, she would put a finger on her temple and begin. "This man is named Vergil, from the Hyuuga clan. He seems to be a Chuunin of our village." Other details would elude her at the time, but if any specific inquiry were to be given, she would have something to focus on.

Gilgamesh registeted the information without a falter in his expression. He was still unimpressed by the information. He was a Hyuuga as well as a chuunin.. the most striking thing was how he was a chuunin of THIS village, and yet he had been in the 'custody' of Xuro.. Before further action could be taken that was detrimental to the health of Xuro he would need to know something very important. "And why was he given to me? More specifically, how and for what reason was he captured?"

Vergil moves slightly, in almost a twitching manner. His entire body is aching. He tries to speak, but cannot. At this point there are a lot of things going through his head, he doesn't know what to think. The only emotion he feels is ANGER. Hatred boiling within him for seemingly no reason.
Finally Vergil opens his eyes..

The collapse of his partner brought the eyebrow of Gilgamesh to lift upwards for a second but that soon returned to normal. Walking over to the body, he knelt and put two fingers to the girls neck to check her pulse; it was non-existant. Standing up he looked at the man that was on the cross that now seemed to have his eyes open which was interesting, did Kaori change bodies or something?.. That was irrelevant, Gilgamesh brought out a kunai and placed the cold metal gently on the torso of the man, cutting gently into his skin and if a great force was applied the blade would pierce the man's heart. "Man of unknown origins, tell me the story of your life and how you ended up how you were.. your last memories and the such."
