Momma's Boy (NK, IO)
Thu Nov 28, 2013 8:38 am
"Go play somewhere else, MOMMA'S BOY!"
Those were the words ended up getting young Nozomi in trouble. One of the older students had tried picking on him, making fun of him because he spent a lot of time with his mother. Nozomi had promptly kicked the boy in his nuts, and when he fell he jumped on him and began hitting him in the face. The teachers had pulled the two apart quickly, which in truth was probably to Nozomi's benefit. He had lost the element of surprise, and wasn't strong enough to keep the older boy pinned down. If it hadn't been for the teachers, he probably would have ended up getting beat up himself.
The fight had happened about half an hour ago, and now Nozomi was waiting in the office of the Head Academy dude. The old man had sent one of the instructors to go find Nozomi's mom and bring her in to have a talk about the young boy's behavior, should she not be on a mission or other important task. Nozomi just sat in his chair looking innocent, waiting for his mom to show up. He wondered what she would think of what he did, would she be upset? Nozomi hadn't really hurt the boy much, other than the initial hit to the groin. Maybe she'd be proud of him for taking down a physically superior opponent, he wasn't sure.
The Head teacher guy though, he wasn't happy. He was speaking words, sounding very angry and things, but Nozomi wasn't paying attention. He was off in his own little world, wondering if there were any sweets left at the house. A few words occasionally managed to force their way into Nozomi's attention, but they were all big and complicated and he didn't know what most of them meant. Possible Expulsion. Extremely Violent. Overly Aggressive Behavior. Nearly killing another student with a rock while on a field trip. The Head Academy teacher guy was furious, Noz had only been in the academy for a few months and managed to be one of the most disruptive and dangerous students the man had ever seen.
Noz almost made a comment about how if Noz was the most dangerous student than obviously the academy sucked, but choice not to because the guy was already mad. Just wait for mommy, maybe she'll just kill this guy and find a better head teach person. Nozomi wasn't even that violent. The kid had let Nozomi hit him with the rock. They were gonna find out what the inside of a head looked like because that seemed like something they should know. Noz couldn't come up with a counter argument for the claim that he was overly aggressive though, as he didn't know what the heck that meant.

Korosu strode into the Academy, a look of deep pride upon her face. Nozomi had apparently gotten in a fight today, and from what she heard from the victim, I mean other kid's - no I mean victim's - ranting mother, he'd done a number on the kid. Momma's boy, alright! He was supposedly bigger, older, and stronger than her son, and her little Nozo beat him into the ground. A feat like this deserved a reward! So, that's exactly hat she got him. Oh, she wished she had a camera for when she would see the look on his face... Who gives a crap if the counselor is there?!?! Ah, hugged securely to her chest was a little something wrapped in a jacket, something he would fall in love with immediately.
Korosu found her way easily to the counselor's office, having traveled the halls many, many times by now. As much as she encouraged violence, she would rather him stay out of trouble until he was stronger. Eventually he was going to start something with the wrong person, and that was something she really didn't want him to go through. She'd give him his special surprise, though a talk would have to be given later.
Within minutes the woman had roughly opened the door to the counselor's room, her one free hand paying no mercy to the wall as she nearly tore the door off the hinges. Her prideful smile only widened at the wince of the teacher, knowing he was both scared and annoyed by her. Oh, how Koro loved this power... She sat down in a plush seat by her son, smiling warmly at the boy. "Well hey there, Noz! Heard you kicked a bullies butt, so I came as fast as I could. Oh, right. I got you something...~" she said, moving her bundle onto his lap. A few moments later, a little head would push it's way through the layers of clothing, staring longingly up at his new master, the boy. It as a puppy~ "So whatcha gunna name him?" the woman asked, ignoring the counselor for a bit and focusing on her son. The smile was evident in her voice, a hand coming up and ruffling his hair in an affectionate manner.
(And you haz a puppy. o^o Yes, I legit got you a puppy for beating someone up. IM AN AWESOME MOTHERRR. Now, go pick an adorable puppy so I know how to envision it!

This was the first time the head Academy dude had met Noz's mother.
Shock and disbelief where the emotions that appeared on his old, tired, and in Noz's opinion, stupid face. To see a mother behave in this manner when her son assaulted another student, well..... it did explain a lot.
"Ma'am, do you understand what your boy has done? He assaulted another student. This has happened a number of times, I have a mind to expel this child, he has shown himself so far to be undisciplined and I'm starting to see where he got it from." The old man's expression change dot that of a barely controlled anger, and spoke loudly enough that he almost took Noz's attention away from his new puppy. It was a fluffy, multicolored puppy. It was a grey and white husky, and it licked Noz's face as he held it in his hands. The boy laughed while the old man looked angrily at his mother, not really caring about what would happen.

Korosu ignored the man for a moment, smiling to herself as Nozomi giggled. Ah, but then she decided to speak. "Sir," she began, her tone sickeningly calm. She picked up a newly-sharpened pencil off the desk, holding it lightly in between her middle and index fingers. As though deep in thought, yet obviously bored by the man, she flipped the pencil. When she caught it again, the tip was pointed in a beeline to the exact spot that marked the middle of his forehead. Her crimson eyes wet up to meet his, and the almost serene expression was almost scary. "I do understand what my son has done, and honestly, I am quite proud. You see, this is a Ninja Academy. If a first year student, a two years younger than most I should add, can tackle and promptly beat up a 3rd year ninja, elder by 5 years, than either my Noz is very skilled or the Academy just plain sucks," the girl commented, looking entirely nonchalant. A pleased grin lit her face, tinted obviously by sly mischievousness yet strikingly serious at the same time."I also believe that, should the Academy be... 'lacking', I am fully able to appoint a new Head. You might have more expiriance than me, but I outrank you in skill. And, you see, my son here belongs in this academy. If you truly believe otherwise, then I won't hesitant to prove my point..." As if to emphasize this remark, she promptly launched the pencil out of her hand. It would land sticking straight into the very hard billboard behind the teacher, mere centimeters from the top of his head. Not only that, but it was in a perfect horizontal line, the point buried very deep. "No pun intended, of course."

The head dude would duck as if the pencil had been aimed at him, fearing exploding onto his features as he dropped into a crouching position, hands raised in front of him. When he realized that he had not actually been attacked, he stood back up, even more angry than before. A Chuunin had just threatened him, and he would not take that lightly!
The head was about to say something, but Noz decided to but in. He had heard his mom say that he belonged in the academy, but he knew that it wasn't true. He didn't belong with all the gifted students who had spent hours of long work training so that maybe they could be Genin. Who by their blood and sweat earned the abilities they now had.
Noz deserved to be above them. Sure, he wasn't the strongest, the fastest, or even the smartest. But, he was still better than all of them. "No, I want to be a Genin!" The head academy dude's mouth had barely opened as Noz exclaimed the words loudly. The puppy in his hands barked after he finished talking, as though it agreed with the young boy. The young boy looked between his mother and the academy head dude, positive that this would fix all of the problems. The head dude wouldn't have to deal with Nozomi, and he would get what he wanted, which was to be a ninja like his mom. To Noz, this plan was genius.
The head dude, he disagreed, and unless interrupted by Korosu would once again start being loud and angry, "You have none of the training needed to be a Genin, I doubt you can even perform a simple clone jutsu! You are also much to young, and FAR to undisciplined to be a shinobi. In fact, I suggest both of you leave my office now, perhaps your child may be ready o begn his shinobi training in a few years." As he talked he switched the focus of his rage towards Korosu, partially realizing it was the mother that caused the child to be this way. "As for THIS," he said, pointing to the pencil buried into the wall, "I will have you reported for this." His voice was starting to sound afraid though, but unfortunately no one was around to hear the old man, despite him being loud. Everyone else had left for lunch, or had duties elsewhere.

Now this was just ridiculous. How could a person get in trouble for holiday spirit? She had volunteered to substitute for the teacher in Nozomi’s class while they were off on vacation, visiting relatives and such. And, classroom key in hand, she had taken it upon herself to celebrate her favorite time of the year, her first Christmas in Yukigakure. She had completely transformed the entire academy overnight, hanging garland, putting up trees, and forming icicle decorations over the doorways and on the ceiling. In each student’s locker, she had placed a santa hat, and had essentially given the students a free day, encouraging students to stand under the mistletoe, especially students of the same gender. That might have been too far. Or maybe it was sneaking into the instructor’s lockers and switching their uniforms with santa outfits. Or maybe it was the… particularly revealing… santa outfit she had chosen from her wardrobe for the occasion.
Whatever the reason, Rakka had been sent to the head academy dude’s office by one of the other teachers who were particularly disgusted by her holiday spirits. The students all called him scrooge, berating him for making their awesome teacher leave. Rakka sighed as she walked across the hallway to the door of the head academy dude’s office, standing in the open doorway as she noticed Korosu, freezing up for a moment. This was… unexpected.
The teacher seemed particularly mad at them for whatever reason, so this was probably not the best time to bring up her little dose of holiday spirit. She cleared her throat, making them aware of her presence.
”I was told I was displaying a little too much holiday spirit.” She said sarcastically to the man when he was done yelling.

This woman must have been insane, that would explain where Nozomi got his violent tendencies from. The head dude wanted this insane woman, and her violent son, out of his office that instant! This idea was crazy, but maybe if he pretended to let them try it they’d leave. Yeah, if Nozomi took the Genin exam and failed the proctor would have to feel that woman’s wrath, not him. “Fine the boy can take the exam! I’ll arrange for him to take it later today in fact!”
Noz was so excited, if he wasn’t holding his new awesome puppy he’d have jumped for joy. Instead he lightly squeezed his puppy and yelled out “Yipeeeeeeeeee!” which immediately seemed stupid, even to him. But that didn’t matter, he was gonna get to take the Genin Exam! How awesome was that? And his mom would be his sensei once he passed the test, this was the best day ever!
The husky barked as someone else entered the room, dressed really weirdly. Noz wondered if she was cold, Noz usually was and he always wore a scarf! Then his mom got all freaked out for some reason, and told him to avert his eyes. Is she some crazy demon thing that will eat my soul if I look at her to long? He turned away, hoping it wasn’t too late. He also made sure his husky wasn’t looking at the woman either, he didn’t want to lose his new best friend!
Apparently mom knew her, as she called her Rakka and was surprised she was wearing that weird outfit. So I guess she isn’t a demon thing that will steal my soul. That was a relief, now he could focus on his Genin exams.
Of crap, he needed to train! His exam was later that day, and he didn’t even know how to do the clone jutsu! “Mom, I gotta get ready for da exam, see you at home!” He then ran off, moving past the weirdly dressed woman and off towards the exit of the school. He held his husky close as he walked out into the snow, which was at least a few inches thick.
