A letter would be sent to the Kages office, whether it would be Viper or Navi who read it the message would stay the same.

"Dear Hokage,

I am wanting to head back out to Kumogakure but would like to request that Kyo is allowed to go with me so i can watch over her myself i should have never asked you to do such a thing. Please allow My sister to go with me as before ill be back at the slightest word of you needing me.

Hikarishi Uchiha"

Hikarishi would await a response.

Navi looked at the envelope, not opening it, and writing down a response with a glance at its contents. It was a neat little trick he learned to do with his dojutsu in determining what the letter said without taking the time to actually straight up take it out of the envelope. With a quick scribble he sends off a piece of paper to be delivered back immediately.
