Rescuing peeps (mission, Maku & Kira)

Mission details:

Maku was looking through the stack of missions that lined his desk.  There were several that had started piling up, and the lack of ninja led to a deficit in reliability towards completion.  Due to this Maku decided that he would simply take this into his own hands.  He was the leader after all, so he could do as he pleased.  Standing up and picking up a random paper, he saw that a man had recently come to the gates wounded, and claiming his fellows were still behind being attacked by bears.  Well that seemed like a fun mission to start, it would get him some fresh air after all.  Walking out of his office, he made his way towards the village gates to start his route.  Along the way he continued to wave and greets the villagers, he always enjoyed meeting the people and seeing what was what.  Along the way he saw no suspicious activity, or anything out of the ordinary.  He wasn’t sure exactly what he expected to find.  After all they had only taken the village a few weeks ago, so he doubted anyone would try anything, especially since they were settling in so well.  Overall crime was down and happiness was up under his rule, and Kira was seeing to the training of the younger ninja raising them up as well. 
 
Speaking of Kira, he sent a messenger to her to meet hima t the gates, his mood was off from what the mission intaled.  He had little doubt he could more than handle a couple bears if need be, so there wasn’t much to be worried about.  He hoped Kira would be along quickly so they could head out and get this thing over with.  Hopefully everyone involved would still be living and he could get some brownie points for himself with the civilians.  He needed all the good publicity he could get, after all sometimes people didn’t like takeovers.  Though these people didn’t seem to mind, maybe the last leader wasn’t much to talk about.  Once Kira arrived he would immediately brief her on the mission, and hopefully head out with her.  He would lead and start the search by heading north, looking for any tracks and searching for any chakra signatures that he could find.  Hopefully Kira could help with this, who knows she might find them first, plus it might be cool to see if Kira had any new tricks up her sleeves.

Kira looked down at maku from the gate, yelling out to him and waving her hands above her head to let him know she was up there. At the same another Kira called out from the other side of the gate, each just on the edge where the two walls opened up. 

     "Hey! Maku!!!!!!" Each looked exactly like the main Kira in every way beaming down her smile at their friend. As they greeted him, just a few moments after their voices rang out from above him another, sounding exactly the same called his name from behind. "Maku! I'm ready when you are. So what's up with this mission?" Kira was more then thankful for her newest created jutsu for it allowed her to take care of the training of kanae and at the same time she could keep tabs on who came in and out of the village.

Looking around, he wondered how Kira had created these clones. He assumed they were traditional shadow clones, but he didn't know Kira had picked up ninjutsu skills.  However he hadn't been paying much attention to her new abilities lately, and hadn't really fought her during their last spar.  Greeting her, he called out "Hey Kira, just a rescue some campers have been trapped, so we need to rescue them.  Apparently there are bears or something.  Also how'd you do that?"  He would say gesturing to the clones.

She was up to him now, moving quickly to stop just beside him, hands in her pockets and flashing a bright smile. "Sound's good. Feels like old times again huh maku? just us three, no worries going about doing missions and getting into thing. " She took a moment to think back to the time before Maku had become a Hokage. It hadn't even been that long ago but things just felt different. Not wrong, only different. 

    "These are a new jutsu I've been working on. " She moved her hands together into the standard nara hand sign and at her whim the clones seemed to reach out with black shadow tendrils that stretched from their stomach. Within a moment their form changed to that of a large black shadow construct, and the clones were gone to make room for two large versions of her regular shadow tendrils. "It's called Shadow Imitation clone jutsu"

"Looks impressive, should be useful"  Maku said as he looked at the clones and began formulating their uses and weaknesses as he could see them.  Perhaps the mission would reveal more information to him.  But for now they had more important things to do.

"Well lets head out."  Maku would say as he began walking outwards into the country.  He used his chakra senses to guide him, as the only real information he had was that the campers were up north.  "Let's split up Kira, you go more eastward and I will go more westward.  If we find anything just use the choker and we can converge." He truste in his own abilities to handle a couple bears, and what he knew of Kira's strength the only thing she would have a hard time doing is killing the bears if they were cute, but as for fighting no she would be more than fine and capable.

After saying that, Maku began heading out.  Traveling at his full speed he was ale to cover a lot of ground rather quickly, especially with the use of his chakra senses.  However he was unable to find anything related to the mission no matter how hard he searched.  However he would not give up that easily, and if there was still a chance to save the campers, he knew that diligence was the most important thing he could do.  Hopefully Kira had more luck than he was, as they needed to find them quick if we had any hope at all of finding them alive.

"Gotcha. " once more she clapped her hands together into the shadow imitation clone technique, though this time she had little need for the added effect to make them seem human. Two blobs of shadow rose up beside her to quickly shape into a humanoid form and then, in an instant their barely recognizable anatomy shifted to look exactly as the young konoichi, only colored in tones of black thst seemed almost impossible were you not actually seeing it before you. With a nod of her head she zipped off with one clone to her right and one to her left in order to spread the area she had to search in out between the three.

Following the lines of a large mountain range seemed her best bet, she thought as she ran across the snow at her full speed, searching with infared vision active. If she could just find an energy signature..... She noticed a few caves, both small and large, opened up at the base of the mountain. She knew these were her best bet. Finally she found one whose opening had been sealed with rocks.

"Maku. I might have found it... It looks like there was a cave in." She sent the message to make before calling the dolls out. With a flash of blue and black her familiars came into being and began to immediately glow their respective colors before calling out to Kira's mind which they knew would reach the clones. "Come back, Kira thinks she found something." Shuurins zipped about excitedly. She had been present for a couple missions but with the addition of shadow imitation clones to Kira's arsenal she was now an incredibly important part of her daily routine, which the small blue pixie loved.

As she waited for the others she called out silently to her shadow, creating a large circle beneath her which grew ten large tendrils at her unspoken command. Each formed into a large shadow arm quickly and began to lift up the rocks one by one, in groups of two hands in order to easily dispose of this mess before her. "I really hope they're alright.... What if I didn't get there in time?"

As Maku continued to run around searching he received the messages from Kira, so he immediately turned around to head for her location.  It was lucky that he was able to find her signature, and would be there in a matter of moments.  He was trying to move at full speed.  It should be noted that he was not wearing any of his armor, he hadn't even thought of putting it on, so he was in his simple attire, scarf flapping in the wind.  Arriving at Kira's location as she was yelling, he observed the cave in, and looked around for bears.  After all that was a key component in the mission directives.  

Walking up to the cave, he shouted "If your in there, please stand as far against the wall as possible!"  Taking a stance, he motioned for Kira to move back. Raising both his hands, and made two hand seals.  Focusing his chakra he felt the familiar surge and portals open up as the quasars were let loose, one from each hand.  Meeting up together at the rocks they exploded and blasted the rocks to oblivion. 

Maku would rush inside, hopefully with Kira, to see if there was any survivors inside.  He also had the feeling he had heard some growling off in the woods.  However he didn't bother inspecitng it with the opportunity to check in on the campers.

When he got there the larger rocks stop the like up had all been moved stay allowing a small ray of light to pierce into the large cavern. She was asked to step back, which is exactly what she did. She knew maku's destructive force well from their spar only days ago. His power in space and time jutsu had caused a blackened char on her savar suit where none but youka could have even hoped to penetrate so she expected he had a plan more efficient them moving the rocks themselves. Sure enough as he formed his hand seals the same laser that threatened her armor flew from his hands in a dazzling light to destroy the rock blocking their path, sending rubble and debris flying. As he fires Kira's shadows rose up from beneath her and her clones, who had finally made it to join in the festivities, and created four large shield like structures, one in front of each. Though they were far enough back to avoid any major shards of the shattering rock small fragments flew at high speed their direction, thankfully meeting her shields to bounce off harmlessly.

"Ok let's go." As they ran in Kira paused to take in the wonders if the area. The cavern was enormous, spamming twenty feet high at least and filled with thwisting turning pathways and an upper level high above their heads. "Plot up again?" She asked, realizing the situation was exactly the same as before only with a better chance of bears. That's when she heard the scream. High above on a plateau that jutted out to the right of the door around fifteen feet in she could see a large patch of hot white energy, the signs of life through her infared vision. The family was at the edge of a large cliff screaming down for help and though they couldn't see it the growling of some large sounding animal could be heard with

Hearing the screams, he focused his eyes and activated the infrared vision on his contacts finding the campers. "Yea let's split up, I'll go this way you that."  WIth that he dashed off at full speed, not only running but activating his ghost mark, increasing his speed by 40.  He flew through tunnel after tunnel, moving at full 240 speed.  Tunnel after tunnel flew by, and always using his contacts watching the area of heat, to make sure he was heaind the right direction.  As he approached and the sight of his goal came into reach, he reached them.  4 bears stood around them.  All bearing down (pun intended) on their prey.  Making a loud whistling sound to get all the bears to turn and come towards him.  Looking around he didn't see Kira yet, but he was sure she would be along soon. 

Channeling his chakra into his hands, he felt two spinning yo-yo blades appear in his hands, hanging from the chakra rope, giving him about 2 feet of slack.  As the bears approached, he began spinning and slashing, quickly dispatching two bears in the process.  His speed was just a bit to much for them, and he had been confident all along that this would be little more than a technicality.  He didn't want to kill the bears, but stuck in a cave on a Plataea he wasn't sure how else to handle it.  Once they were gone, he looked around because he ad thought there was one more, but didn't see it anywhere

"I thin..." As soon as she realized where the people they were to save were she turned to maku, getting out most of two words before he spoke a hurried statement and disappeared through the tunnels. She paused for several moments, hand out stretched with one finger in the air as if the gesture out successfully stop him from having left already , it didn't.

"Alright girls we could go through the tunnels and take the long way ." As she said it both her the two clones and shuurin laughed in unison before nodding to or another. The first clone dropped low in a stance with her hands down and linked together to prepare Kira's trip up. Once she was set the second clone took off at a run, followed only a few steps behind by he real Kira. As they each reached the clone prepped to assist they jumped catching their left foot in her linked hands to be vaulted upward towards the wall of the cave with about a meter of distance between them. The clone hit the wall with her right foot, coiling it in a bit before pushing off once more to extend the jump even higher and Kira followed suit. They were now about three meters from the edge where the family stood, shaking in their boots watching maku appear and draw the bears away,

Just as Kira reached the apex of her momentum and began to fall she used her mastery of shadows ability to manipulate the clone, which was now about a meter and a half below her, the clones form broke as she manipulated the falling mass of shadows to create a pillar of shadow which stretched out to vault her upward again at its full speed. She easily flew the last of the distance to flip over the family and land just a few feet in front of them.

"Maku finish them off! " she yelled turning to the family. Sure that maku would take care of the situation she decided on a plan to help the people, and simply shoved them one by one off of the huge cliff. Screams of terror rang out as the sight to any above would be Kira heartlessly killing the people, though before they got close to the ground below the other clone stretched out its own shadows to catch them and cradle them safely to the ground.

"Ready maku?"
