Haruto's Sunshine Genin exam
Sun May 11, 2014 7:11 pm
Haruto anxiously entered the room. Zen had taught him all he should need to know, figuring that all he needed was a little physical skill and Jutsu. Anything could happen though. Or maybe anything couldn't happen. It really depended on the person giving the test. He figured if zen somehow did it he would forfeit. There was nothing worth being put through a grueling, three day exam. Though that was simply speculation based on Zen's personality. "Hey...I'm here for the exam."

As the child entered the filled room, the instructor shifted he gaze towards the boy, eyes of an intense glare that would put any mere student on alert. That was how the rest of the class was, the child joining in on this room full of despair. "Since you are the last to arrive, I guess you can show the rest of the class what it takes to pass the exam, by going first. I'm sure your up for it challenge, right?", the mature lady grinned towards the boy, hoping to encourage him to pass the exam. "It's simple, perform the three basic academy Jutsu, and...", the lady reached over under her desk and pulled out a gun, I mean headband, "This will be yours..."
((Perform the three basic academy Jutsu in 800 words, and you pass.))

Haruto sighed at his instructors rather rude glare. What gave her the right to be so mean? He hadn't done anything. He wasn't even late. He was simply the last to arrive. He guessed the road of a ninja would hold many of these such, "mean, people, and he would simply have to move past them, for the greater good of himself. He smiled up at the teacher, although it was quite obviously fake, and nowhere near radiated the warmness of an actual smile. "I would be happy to demonstrate the three genin jutsu, and then take that headband. Just give me one moment."
Technically, Haruto had only learned the jutsu a few days ago, and wasn't too practiced in them. He had gotten to the point where most everything was muscle memory, but it still took a little effort on his part. He believed he could do it, however. He believed he could do it because this teacher seemed to believe he could not do it, and that was absurd to him. She had all these students, and the one late student would be the one that couldn't correctly preform a jutsu? He would just have to show her how wrong she was.
"The first one is called the clone technique. Its not too hard, I learned it in about twenty minutes."
That was a rare side of Haruto showing, him showing off. It was true though. He had learned all the justu in a fairly short time. He slowly put the correct seals together, gathering his concentration. Like before, he had to concentrate all his chakra into his likeness, but away from himself. It was easy in theory, but in actual practice, was slightly more difficult for the inexperienced. While it would only take a couple minutes in real time, it felt like an eternity to the young sand ninja. He had to focus absolutely on the parts he hadn't memorized. The parts he had memorized, he felt he needed to double check, and triple check to make sure he got them right. His chakra would be almost visible now, as he had almost completed the jutsu. Normal ninja could do this technique in seconds, and Haruto tried his best to achieve a similar feat. He was not quite managing the feat of a few seconds, but he finally generated an exact copy of himself. It stood in the same stance that Haruto now stood. Its arm's crossed, its mouth in a frown of almost annoyance. Haruto looked up at the teacher, not using his fake smile anymore, as that had turned into his trademark frown. "Thats the first one."
He removed the clone from existence, the other Haruto poofing in a cloud of smoke. The sand ninja was rather proud of his progress so far, and knew the rest would come with ease. He just needed to keep up his concentration, and he would be golden. He turned back to the class, and held up his hands in a number two gesture. "Next is the substitution Technique. Clearly though, there are not a lot of items for me to switch with."
His tone seemed to balme his teacher for the lack of objects his size to switch with, but he knew he could manage. The justu in itself wasn't overly complicated, and it had been one of the easier ones for him to learn. Once he found an object he liked, being a small shovel at the back of the room, he prepared the jutsu. This one he did at a purposely slow pace, simply to drag the teachers day on. This is what she got for being rude. Forming the correct handsigns, he concentrated on the movement of switching. All it was is a high speed switch that was nearly impossible to see. Haruto preformed it rather spectacularly, disapearing in a puff of smoke, leaving the shovel to clatter uselessly to the floor. Haruto would then walk back to the front of the class from the back of the room, and once again look up at the teacher with his average frown of slight disdain. "Thats number two I believe."
The last one was slightly more complicated. The goal was for him to transform into a perfect replica of a target, with no features added or missing. He chose a girl in the front of the class for this demonstration. "Lastly is the transformation Jutsu. Luckily, I have loads of targets for this."
He quickly walked to the side of the room so he could completely examine the girl for the jutsu. He memorized her entire figure in his mind like a sketch, and put the handsigns together. He could feel the familar chakra flow through him, and within seconds, he would look like an exact copy of the girl. He would then walk back up to the teacher, holding his hand out expectantly, and place his other hand on his hip. "Thats three."
